    A lot of folks have forgotten about these older 6th Gens, but with how crazy Dodge Charger prices are today you should consider these older ones 👌🏼

    Im an older dude and im seeing a loooot of folks around my age range scrambling to buy cars from our generation and older. Its like everyones realizing theres only a finite number of cars out there like what we're all used to. If you love your charger/challenger in any hemi trim, consider just keeping it, modifying it and enjoying it!

    I got my Daytona R/T for 8,500, it had 120,000 km on it when I got it, or almost 75,000 miles if you convert that mileage, its a 2006, was never winter driven, had its oil regularly changed on time, very well maintained and kept clean, it belonged to a man named Ryan, who from what I recall was a farmer or worked on a dairy farm somewhere north of Toronto over here in Canada, it is a 124 of 200 Go-Mango cars sent to Canada, I was very lucky to get it at that price, a friend of mine paid around 14,000 for his 2011 Mazda 3 with 100,000 km on it, so compared to that, I think I was just blessed to get it at that price, I'm grateful always that Ryan allowed me to be the new owner, as I recall this was his pride and joy when he had it.

    I just bought an 06 Top Banana with 87k miles for $6k!!! The guy that sold it to me had that much left to pay off and I can say that this car is super clean and really well taken care of. The previous owner replaced the alternator, while cooling system, and the diff seal and the car is running like a dream. I don’t know if I should sell it and buy something newer or modify this one but it’s a really cool car!

    Got my 06 RT. 113k miles. Very well maintained but it was being sold as a mechanic special for 5k “unknown electrical issue” fixed it myself, needed a new PCM which was like $500 and just recently replaced the water pump even though I only needed the gasket. Just a little preventative maintenance 😅

    I bought a 200,000 mile 2007 Dodge Charger RT for $750, the interior and body was great, the engine was toast! Bad head, so I swapped the motor and bought a 2012 pursuit 5.7 hemi with 77K miles for $3,000. I prefer the 6 gen over 2015-23 styles because for starters they are well overpopulated on the streets but they look great. I plan on keeping mine, no desire to sell! Nice video bro!

    $13k for a wrecked srt8 with the wrong front clip on it (v6 front end at that) with 128k miles and the website says great value. Hahaha Thats just crazy. Restored/salvaged title cars and any car that has had a wreck even if not totaled is depreciated significantly in value. If you ever owned a car that has been repaired after an accident or has a salvaged title for some reason they are very rarely the same car. In some cases they turn out okay, but is it not the norm. Then people try to sell the car like it is still in great condition saying "I know what I got". Maybe they know what they got but they clearly dont understand what it is worth. It just blows my mind on a regular bases looking at car prices.

      Inch SRT replica rims and I’m happy with my purchase 😂 💯

    90% of the time 06 to 08 charger srt8s spins both. They spin one wheel rarely (uneven pavement & etc).

    • @srtdad
      @srtdad  4 месяца назад +2

      You are correct! Here is why, the pre 2009 srt8 Dodge Charger has an electronic diff. that uses the brakes to mimick limited slip. The computer detects that only one wheel is spining and applies the brakes on that wheel to try to even the torque split between the wheels. In effect, you usually get two-wheel burnouts without spending the money on an actual lsd. But, it's still not perfect and it wears your brakes a little more.
