My Insight also has buttons for the transmission, and I find it more convenient than a traditional automatic transmission shifter. With buttons, you never miss a gear, and they don’t stick out from the center console.
If i can afford it and get a good deal at dealership with trade in will upgrade from my 2012 1.5L 5 Speed Fit Sport to Trail-sport. 209,000 miles-on Fit Sport with 0 issues still running like new. Did on road trip from Florida to Alaska summer time on my Fit Sport through Canada ground clearance was the only problem busted both my Fog Lights and Windscreen on trip, that was the only issue. Always been with Honda yes a Honda guy here !
I’m not a Honda fan, but as soon as I saw this, I started to really consider it until I saw the PRNDL and now I hate it please just add a regular shifter
I don’t know what to think about this Passport A lot of v6 engines affected either sooner or later and a lot without warranty or support from Honda New engine and new transmission but same old transmission issues from Honda
Ok, the new-gen Honda Passport, Honda does their own thing, and it seems to work for them, targeting real off-roading machines like the Jeep Wrangler (midsize body-on-frame 4x4) or Grand Cherokee 2-row (midsize unibody 4x4), Toyota Land Cruiser or 4Runner (midsize, both body-on-frame), and the Ford Bronco (midsize body-on-frame), the question is, is anyone asking Honda to build a off-roader or is this just Honda saying look at us
No preorder this year! Have to wait until they get rid of the not fancy but very annoying push button gear selector! When will they learn, fire the person who says that’s a good idea!
@ that’s questionable. Honda is not what it used to be. I bought an accord recently and it gave me constant issues…As soon as i got a chance i went back to Toyota and never looked back
Spare tire underneath is not a good idea as it is very difficult to get off or pull from underneath if on trail in deep mud or snow, best place is back like Ford Bronco and Jee or inside vehicle for easy assess in wilderness.
Its better than the 2025 4-cylinder turbo 4runner for sure-thanks Honda for keeping it simple with the V6 power plant.
Yea I love old V6 Hondas; changing timing belts and water pumps at 100k, having fewer speeds and lower gas mileage .
better? 😂
I agree with you Jojo

love this passport, except for the button shifter

Have the same shifter in our Odyssey. Can confirm it sucks.
Just commented the same thing! It’s so dumb
Our 2020 Ridgeline has that style of shifter and it is not the best but is not a deal breaker either, at least not for me.
At least it isn't a turn dial next to the volume dial lmao
Best video yet!! 😂
The Orange is key
Nice Arnie!!
Good eye

Se parece a un Toyota Runner de los años 90s 😢😅😂
Am I seeing ford bronco sport?
It’s giving Ford
Its like a chunky Ford Bronco Sport 😭
@@totallygothboynah it looks like the original passport from the 90’s
Sure except it holds its value and is reliable lol

Really no gear lever, why! Stop it! Just give us what we want! Nooooo buttons! Was so excited until I saw those ugly buttons
3rd row seating would have been great, and full spare wheel underneath or on the back rather than a space saver in the boot
Pilot is for 3 row seating. Passport is intentionally for those who don't want 3row. It's not meant to be a family hauler like the Pilot.
That's the Pilot. They're mechanically identical, so it really is choose the styling and seating config between the two.
