Cool bro 😎 Ey just FYI I noticed your check engine light on and that you still have that shorty air filter. Mine did the same thing, so I put the tube from my cold air intake back on which moves the mass air sensor further away from the throttle body, and Vuala check engine light is out!
Got a 700R4 with SS Mega Monster-in-a-Box kit from Monster Transmissions it’s the heavy-duty high performance rebuilt kit. Koleen steels, Red Eagle Race clutches, extra wide Racing band, .500 boost valve, separator plate mods, completely rebuilt valve body with polished valves and different performance springs, brand new vanes and rotor in pump, full billet aluminum servo, brand new 1800-2200 stall, 5 pinion planetary gears, painted case, new filter and gasket, new HD transmission mount, painted crossmember, undercoated front and rear drive shafts, on and on
I’ve done a lot of research on both of these transmission prior before buying my 06 1500 If you’re building your truck 650hp and up you might as well get a pro glider or a 4l80e swap it but if you’re just going for cam bolt on and 650 hp and under the 4l60 e can handle it and it’s actually better The 4l80e shifts like a tractor unless you got power to push it to shift faster
I recently got my transmission rebuilt maybe 6 months ago, I did a heavy duty upgrade on it not sure what all parts they put in it. But when I got it back it shifts aggressively like you’re saying, and my dad was riding with me and he was saying it’s shifting questionably hard and I took it back 2 times and they say it’s the boost valve and if I want to I can replace it with the original to have it shift smoothers but I paid extra to have “heavy duty” parts. I have an 08 silverado same trans you have just wondering what your thoughts are.
Most heavy duty or performance parts in transmissions tend to be a little more aggressive just because the materials and setting they have they either are going grab real hard or shift fast… if it’s a daily and u don’t plan to track or abuse the truck I would go original if you are planning to play around with the truck, upgraded parts are always way to go . A little comfort give up for some reliability
What’s all done to your truck at this point? About to throw in a built transmission on my stock 5.3, with a tbss torque converter. Just curious if I should atleast throw in a tune so it handles cleaner
@@AquaticAdventuresKY im not exactly sure it was a rebuild I know it got a bigger band n clutches. I just sent it out again last week so hopefully I will get an answer
Builder seems like a cool dude, did you do a sonnax valve body and sonnax servo kit? I was told that their valve body and servo makes it shift way too extremely hard but your trans here seems to shift greasy good
Only gear that shifts pretty hard is 1st to 2nd because of my shift kit. Other then that feel real nice when it’s going threw all the gears. I had a servo on a stock 4l60E Before definitely recommend
Im curious how your built 4L60E is working now, trans builders say you're wasting your time doing anything to a 4L60E so are they right? Or is it still going good?
No, but that’s because I did a lot of upgraded parts and supporting mods. You get what you pay for but the transmission isn’t something you’d want to cheap out on lol reputable shop and work tho.

Performabuilt 4l60e 😈
I got a mechanic that rebuilds transmissions here in Texas. Rebuilt mine and works perfectly
Where's his shop at
^^^ where the shop at
Yooooo drop the shop

Keep up the good work bro!!! YOUR TRUCK IS AMAZING!
What's the info on the upgraded torque converter?

Where you get the transmission at?
Mines getting rebuilt right with corvette servo
You will notice the difference, enjoy it Brotha💪
hows it holding up ? by chance can u add a parts list on all the goodies u added to the 4L60. good video btw watched it all

just buy your the hd cluster of your year. It has the transmission gauge already. Additionally, it looks stock.
My 03 5.3 1500 LS 4L60E (4x4) is doing this same thing, I am literally counting down till it goes under the knife. I think im going with JEGS
a year later if you dont mind me asking what kit you went with?
@@AquaticAdventuresKY im not exactly sure it was a rebuild I know it got a bigger band n clutches. I just sent it out again last week so hopefully I will get an answer
I like your Walgreens hat. ;-)
Walmart next 🤣
What type of stall on torque converter
Where is mark located
You should put some cal tracs 🤭
What’s the tranmsion place called and where is it located
What is your cold air intake set up?
Where is this dude located to do trans

Literally just take the servo off a corvette trans and that’s that

Ik this video was a year ago but how much did you spent just to rebuild the transmission?
I got a player price brotha but expect to pay around 3-4K for a similar build
Yo wat radio that is?
Clark Linda Smith Patricia Rodriguez John
How much work like this cost bro?

Knock on wood but I drive this truck HARD and it’s still running real nice
@@LegacyJR Thats good to hear.
They’re just haters, never had issues with a 4L60e
@@HashMaster1776 This is good news because I don't feel like spending 3 grand doing a 4L80E swap. Thanks
@@DM-qp7do 4L80s are heavier and have higher drivetrain loss, so less WHP with 4L80. Build a 4L60 and you’re good to go.
What stage transmission is it? Or did you get just a stock rebuild with a few upgraded performance?
mmmm i’m pretty sure the torque converter is bad…..
Was all that under $2k bro?
No, but that’s because I did a lot of upgraded parts and supporting mods. You get what you pay for but the transmission isn’t something you’d want to cheap out on lol reputable shop and work tho.
What should you expect to pay to get some similar transmission work done like you did
@@laronjemison6968 prob close to 4 lol
Everyone knows you don't rebuild 4L60's.. Just 4L80 swap and done
If u don’t have a 6.0 theirs no point
Your right 4l80 strong trans perfect for 5.3 you only need Trans support ,trans, and ecu harnest and ready to go
4l80 shifts like some kid learning manual, 4l60 can shift quick and hard if built right
Very true, I love my 4l60🤣
@@LegacyJR still doing you good ? I’m bout to get one
Where did you get your transmission done
6:35 what the fuck this is in lathrop? I work right there
