I was a codependent previously a falsely empowered one with a an alcoholic as a partner. I read and worked through my issues. Realized I needed to let go of resentment, accept the person as they were, realize only they can change and that my needs needed to be prioritized. But now that he is sober he has become the falsely empowered codependent and I have began to adapt to all his requirements. He is never satisfied and finds a way to fight about something I said, did, or think. It’s always about me and how I don’t show him enough care. It truly neever enough.

Great story about your kid, but a lot of people in education are just as manipulative which makes it all worse. Anyone good there gets burned out & leaves. Many professional victims in education.

when somebody 'a teacher" solves your problems in many cases is they project themselves onto the "Victim" which activates the same Worst day Cycle in the Victim AGAIN. While, often, abusers in denial use THIS RULE of ABANDONING THE "VICTIM" and re wound the victim over and over, causing the Childs Absence of SELF. I had to go no contact from my family because they do not know anything about emotional support. They call that weak because they were never taught that. They only asserted themselves aggressively, passive aggressively, back stabbing, stealing, sabotaging. I went no contact. After 20 years I found some thing to stop the flight and fight, called L Theanine. I finally don't live with w the fight and flight ruining my life.

I have never had a boyfriend or husband that I didn’t totally support/pay for, then after five years I cry that I’m being used and abused and dump them and pull the plug on their finances! Is that a hidden power play or what! I don’t think I feel worthy of a man that is self sufficient, or has a job, or would treat me…. Would you do a vid on this dynamic!
Sometimes when you try and have a conversation with someone who has done you wrong, you already know the answer, they deny it, so you don't even waste your breath, its a total waste of time, i just walk away.
That is the story of my marriage. What I want and need is connection, but with someone that is so falsely empowered, that it’s pointless to have an honest conversation.

But I will keep trying and need to take ownership of the fact I have as we all do as humans made mistakes and when so frustrated can be abusive or patronising and derogatory in my deliverance so I will do what I can with my my behaviour as that is all I can control so I will seek to educate myself and improve.
If you love somebody enough you will let them fail. And the worst thing you could say to them is I told you so. When they fail or think they have failed tell them you love them as they are not as they want to be or should be because they are never going to be as they should be
Thats why I'm always leery of people who describe their previous relationships as 'being taken advantage of'... I'm like no, there are always two people (or more these days), in every relationship. We always play a role in our relationship problems and the ultimate demise.
