- The Baumalight MP560 tractor PTO brush mulcher is a very versatile tractor attachment. More than a brush mulcher, the Baumalight MP560 is almost like 3 tractor attachments in 1. This mulcher can mulch and clear woody materials; however it can also work as a very effective brush mower. Similar to a flail mower, the Baumalight MP560 can clear thick brush and weeds as well as mow tall grass effectively. Also, with the skid shoes raised the brush mulcher could disturb the soil enough to clear vegetation and till the top layer of soil to plant grass seed, clover or a brassica food plot.

Food plot prep! Tim in Oneida
That's an Amazing pto attachment! Thank you for posting 😀
Thanks Mike! Man it is so much fun. Nothing makes you feel more powerful on a tractor!!! We have some more Baumalight content coming. After years of using this kind of equipment I am so impressed with how they build things. Expensive; but so heavy duty. Appreciate you supporting us for so long man. You been with us since the beginning.
I have hired forestry mulchers on five occasions over the last four years. Watching this Baumalight MP560 makes me wish it had been available and I had a tractor large enough to pull it four years ago. I would’ve already paid for it instead of hiring forestry mulchers. I need to try one out. Tim in Oneida
Some rental yards have them for rent, not sure where but worth looking into. Its as advertised man. Baumalight makes fantastic equipment. Not one complaint.
Looks like a nice level path when you are done. What a beautiful day here in middle TN.
This thing is unreal. I think I an going to do a food plot with it. Hope you get to go for a ride today!
@JoeTheFarmer the nice thing is I can go for a ride any time I want. I like to wait for my wife to come home from work she likes to go. I like company. It seems to function better every time I use it. Love that opening windshield.
@mileshiles1287 yes sir. Retirement is a gift! They do seem to get better as they break in. We have beaten on the 550 and it has been a great machine.
I seriously need to look into one of them for my woods. Great video!
Thanks man. They really are unbelievable. No joke, the toughest implement I have ever seen for a tractor. I’m gonna till a food plot with it!
That did an amazing job
Thanks Dan; and appreciate you watching. It really is an impressive machine. I think I am just scratching the surface of what it cab do on our property. Excited to share more. 💪🏼👊🏼
Ok Joe, now you have to come up with that, I think we can spend 3 days cutting plots and trails. Great unit that will be a major time saver over a brush hog, and you'll stay cool and clean. Keep up the good work, take care!
It would be a game changer for sure. The cool thing about it is that I think it really does multiple jobs without changing the setup. It can mow or mulch one minute and the next minute small trees are gone. If I lift the skid shoes I really think it could till a food plot. But boy is it heavy. Even a big tractor grunts when picking it up! Take care buddy; hope you and the crew are doing well!
Nice piece of equipment.
Thanks Tom! Appreciate you watching. I was surprised it mowed as well as it did. Almost like a flail mower/tiller/mulcher. Thing is incredible. I'm going to try to do a food plot with it!
Hi Joe,
Never expected to see you use a
”Lifeline”, good choice! Love Tony. Nice work! 🚜🇺🇸🆒
Ha! I may be calling you next!!! Keep your phone on. Lol
@@JoeTheFarmer 😅🤣
@@tractorrookie Hope all is well with you buddy. Appreciate you checking in!
WOW, this is great.
It is incredibly impressive. Fun to see what a tractor can do! Thanks for watching Linda!
This is an amazing piece of equipment. Good for you.😅😅😅😅
Any videos showing how to move it and attach it to your tractor? Mine TYM has a three point hitch class I.
Mine is a class 1 also. I just downsized the pins. I worked with Baumalight and they are going to offer it in cat 1/2 with both pins. The TYM handles it great
I came up on a fawn today mowing hay
Hopefully it got away. So hard to see them in the brush. Thanks for watching
@@JoeTheFarmer it did
that sure would make prepping fence lines for building pretty easy. wonder if there are any dealers up here in canada....,
Absolutely. If you check the dealer locator on the website I’m sure they have dealers in Canada. They are built in Canada. 🇨🇦 💪🏼
@@JoeTheFarmer oh well in that case thats actually a big plus! I'll have to look into them real closely cause Ive got miles and miles of fence to work. This honestly looks like the attachment that fits the bill perfectly!
Without a skid steer, it’s insanely useful. I’m using it tomorrow!
@@JoeTheFarmer well that was the first thing that drew me to them. I run a cattle ranch I got a 7810 JD which is 180 HP so more then enough to run it. For me honestly a tele handler would be better than a skid steer I understand a skid steer sure has it applications but for me it just hasn't got the loader capabilities mostly for loading the TMR How wide is the attachment you have in this video?
How do you open the gate on the MP560 from the tractor?
Hey! There is a hydraulic hookup on the mp560 that allows you to use rear remotes to operate the gate. Thanks for watching
That's seams like a pretty costly flail mower that you need to drive backwards all the time. Do you feel it can cut a trail in the woods with it. Will it take down a 4 or 5" tree? Good review but do you feel it's just a pumped up flail mower?
Hey! I think it’s the farthest thing from a flail mower. It’s really a forestry mulcher that operates off the pto. You can go forward in tall weeds, brush and thorns…but if taking out a tree or stump you will need to go backwards. It will take down a 5” tree. Will need to be careful and take it slow (so the tree doesn’t fall on you!)…but this machine is far superior to a flail. Carbide teeth vs hammers, weighs over 2k lbs. It’s a beast.
Will this run with a 48 HP Kubota .?@@JoeTheFarmer
@dwaynetempest3433 yep. Check out my recent video with it where I had it on the back of my 55hp TYM. Its an excellent attachment
CAMERAMAN REVEAL!!!!
🤣🤣🤣. It’s a Sasquatch!
use the right tool for the job...a plow and disk or tiller will do a much better job on a planting plot
A plow is a non starter for us. It wouldn’t make it through an afternoon with the rocks. A tiller would do the job for sure; and better. But my point was if you had to load the tractor on a trailer with ONE attachment could this be it. I really think it could for a hunting property. It could mow, mulch and do a shallow till. No other attachment that I know of could do that that I know of. Just my .02.
cameraman reveal!!!
💪🏼
How much?
All the pricing and details are on the website. Baumalight.com
I dunno, I've watched a few videos on t his and it really can't do much more than a flail mower can do. It can't take down 6"+ diameter trees. More like just saplings and stuff. A flail mower will be able to take down 2" trees. For the price it should be able to mulch bigger stuff.
This machine could easily take down 6+ inch trees. Don't let my learning curve fool you; it is very similar to the mulching heads that are hydraulically run by a skid steer. I take my time and go slow when learning something new; especially something this powerful. The only drawbacks are going backwards and not having the lift height. If you get an opportunity to try one out I would; it's unbelievable. The flail mower is an excellent tool; but the hammers are no comparison to the mulching teeth.
@@JoeTheFarmer I'm not speaking from your experience, I am from my own. It will push over a 6" tree but so will your loader. It wont mulch up a full 6" tree like a pine, cedar, or similar or at least not with any kind of speed effectively. Go find a 6" in tree and try mulching it up and see what happens, you wont like the results and probably wont ever try it again. There are two issues with it, 1. it's on a 3 point so you can only get it a couple feet off the ground, 2. a 540 pto isn't going to spin the drum fast enough to mulch effectively. That's why you see large chuncks compared to a skid steer or excavator mulcher.
To be fair sir I don't think you know what you're talking about that baumalight will Mulch anything the power from your tractor might can't handle it. I had a baumalight mp548 a few years back. It's all made from ar400 steel impact resistant steel the teeth holders don't break, chip, or bend only the carbide tips. The baumalight will Mulch trees, stumps , etc a flail mower will not handle that without every freaking flail breaking off. That baumalight mulches, tills. All at the same time it really is a BEAST!!! He's mulching light stuff but it will Mulch trees... THE BAUMALIGHT WILL MULCH WHATEVER YOUR TRACTOR CAN HANDLE. IF IT YOU CAN'T MULCH WITH SPEED THEN THAT'S CAUSE YOU HAVE A WEAK TRACTOR. PUT THAT BAUMALIGHT ON A 100HP TRACTOR AND IT WORKS JUST LIKE SKID STEER
@ItzCee... I don't think you know what you're talking about. Better yet post a video up of your mulching and entire 6" diameter tree. The entire tree not just pushing it over and grinding down the bottom 3 feet because that's roughly as high as you can get it with a 3 point. Go ahead let's see it.
@@brianlb78 you see big chunks from all those machines they shred ... it's not the machine it's the mulching head design...
No place near me rents 3 point equipment and Not everyone can afford a $15,000 attachment
Understandable
