Can't talk right now, I'm doing hot girl ish in my toilet room makeover 😤 this week I took on the smallest room makeover in my entire house - the water closet! My bathroom is separate from my toilet to add some privacy, so I thought I would spruce up the place with some colour and ✨ Kelsey charm✨ Will I do wallpaper? Will I paint the walls green (again)? Will I paint the ceiling? Will I keep the old light or switch it for a new one? Who knows!! You'll have to watch to find out how this toilet room makeover all comes together. I would be more worried about the fact that she doesn't have a sink, she/they have to open the door, close it, and then go to the sink to wash their hands...I suppose she has to go back and disinfect the doors after every use.

It's so weird because in the swatch it almost looked terra cotta-y but maybe that was just my imagination 😅

As almost everyone else, I went “wow the poop room REALLY came to life”. As it’s a small and closed space, I think you should have stocked to lighter colors, and also less poopy ones hehe. I also read that people liked better the black room idea but I was really into the wallpaper

I love the styling and the brass accents but can’t get down with that brown. I was in love with the clean white and think that you could have gone with an oiled/wax natural wood for the cabinets and wall border and that would have kept it clean. I also liked one of the mock ups that you did with the black paint too, and that would have coordinated with the rest of the bathroom and that luxe spa vibe you had going. Nevertheless, I always love watching you work!

I commented the same thing! It's going to fall off every time you try to pull off the paper. It's going to be hell if you're wearing a dress and holding it up with one hand and the roll falls on the floor.
I'm not a fan of the color, but I couldn't help noticing how gorgeous YOU looked when surrounded by the color! It made your hair, skin, and eyes just glow!

Yeah or the navy or because it’s a small windowless space and nobody wants their wc to feel like it’s closing in on them. I’d have gone with the light grey green blue from some of the stones in the cement floor. But either way any shade of brown does not belong on your toilet walls 😬
I dont love the color, i get the earthy vibe, but i feel like it makes the small space look even smaller. I wish she had added some colorful accents to contrast, but ultimately my fav color was the first lighter mauve-ish shade :(((

Correction, a thing in the US, in France we have bidets in almost every houses and I'm pretty sure it's a common thing in most parts of Europe too.

I'm from Portugal and everyone has bidets here. They are usually their own piece next to the toilet though :) I honestly can't understand how people live without them. As a woman, I specially love them during that time of the month!

In general, I like browns and tend to eyeroll when people think browns are all about poo, forgetting about such beautiful brown associations like chocolate, clay, soil, coffee. However, in this case context really matters.

I feel like the dark brown color made the room look even more small. Too heavy for the room. I feel like the Navy color you mentioned would’ve given it more contrast and should’ve left the cabinet white instead. Also a mirror above the toilet would’ve opened up the space a little better. I feel like you’re going to end up changing the room in a few months lol 😆

For sure! I enjoyed the journey of this space very much. And the effect was quite good. Sure, there's an argument for a different color, but I am still amazed at what a difference the effort made. At the beginning I was thinking why bother. By the end, I was like, "Oh, so worth actually decorating a toilet room!"

I love the “vintage” fan cover and honestly I was a little iffy on the color choice but in the final product it’s actually a really pretty color!

The scene where she sits on the toilet and talks about the wall colour is a VIBE. All the colours in the space fit perfectly together. The floor, her hair, her top and her pants fit the wall colour... its just ✨magical✨ (of course after decorating too 👌)

I feel like the room doesn’t vibe with the rest of the area. Sad part is that’s the paint choice I picked from the swatches. It seems like you were trying to get that tamber color vibe without all of the work it takes. The good thing is that it’s just paint so when you decide to change it will be an easy fix.

This is the first time I have questioned a design choice of yours haha. I love all the care and attention you give to even the smallest of places...however I think the brown color is def a rough choice in my opinion. I def would have gone with a more subtle spa/calming color that didnt cut the room in half so abruptly.
I love everything but yeah, “butt” er nut brown was not the color. I would like it so much more with the lighter color dusty ranch brown for such a small, basement space...
Haha, nine minutes of me shouting "Wallpaper!" at the screen, before Kelsey remembers she wanted wallpaper. And then it wasn't installed. The WC is the perfect place for a dramatic wallpaper and I hope you can find it in the budget to get for the top half of the room. What you have done has made a huge difference and given the smallest room a big personality.
I agree that there's some amazing wallpaper out there, but she's right - it's expensive, and it's a lot of work to do well. I wallpapered my new condo's tiny bathroom, and even with matching the seams perfectly I can still see every one of them. And that was $100 a roll wallpaper, not cheap junk :-(
Adding a big of that cool blue in from the floor would really help balance all of the brown

My biggest pet peeve with painting is when people paint everything (trim, outlet covers, shelves, etc) the same colour. it looks so tacky and bland. do love that colour, but not for that space. maybe it looks better in person but on camera it doesn't match the floor at all

@@merlegodeke7104 Spray painting hinges isn't ideal since they move so much and hinges are pretty cheap. But it's totally worthwhile for things that don't go through so much wear and tear!

Like I will literally stand in stores and stare at things for so long to the point where I get embarrassed at the thought of anyone seeing me on the cameras. Fiery poop brown comes to mind. Reddish + Brown fits in a space that’s all about using the toilet. A ‘get in and get out’ type of vibe. It’s an intense (lively) color. So not boring. I’m just happy that you’re happy with it.
I really loved the last wallpaper pattern you showed, and thought it would have been so cute. I don’t think I would personally choose a dark color in such a small room, but it’s your bathroom. I kind of liked the white wall as well. Could have just added a few accessories to spice it up.
I’m always impressed at how confidently you do electrical wiring yourself to post publicly for your insurer to easily see 😂😂 the goal is to get that confident with wiring myself 🙋🏾♀️
I think when you add some greenery, a nice air plant maybe, it would pull together that earthy feel. I noticed that's the vibe you have throughout your house already 🙂 I like it

Yeah, I can't imagine having to stare at myself peeing. Most of us girls might not think anything of a mirror behind the toilet, but sounds like a terrible experience for anyone who has to face that wall to pee. Good call to skip the mirror.

It definitely needs wallpaper now. Lol A dark blue with a print would look fantastic on the upper half. And also distract from the...poo brown. lol

I’m brown skin, and I love the color brown, the earth, clay and everything natural! EXCEPT the color of poop in the entire bathroom 😭 but glad you love it!

I always love everything you do on your show even when I think I won’t! But the color is not good for the bathroom! Please reconsider because it could be so dang cute! It looks too closed in with such a dark color as well! People can get over the green thing but that or a color out of the rug or anything but the brown! I am just being so honest! Maybe even a shade up from the color on the tub! That would work!
