Okay is queer really a still a slur? I’m so confused, I heard it as a word the lgbtq uses before I ever found out it was a slur and I’ve never seen it used as a slur.
8:27 This is how f###### fnaf was made, Scott Cawthon's critics said that chipper and sons lumber co had models that we're "robotic", "scary", and "uncanny", then Scott was so pissed of that he said "FU## IT" and made a horror game made in that style
0:07 I like to think that they were still convinced they'd have to leave each other until a couple minutes later when they both go "...wait a minute" at the exact same time
The Q in Lgbtq+ can either stand for queer or questioning, or both. I always thought it was “queer”, since you can be queer but not necessarily lesbian, gay, bi, or trans. Also, yes, the term “queer” has been used by the lgbtq+ community to describe people who are not cis/straight. I suppose it could still be used in a derogatory way, but it’s not really considered a slur anymore.
It's most certainly queer. But that kind of encompasses questioning as the Q is an umbrella for any non cishet gender/sexuality. Though some LGBT people may not like to be called queer, I don't know. I'm pan so I'd be under the Q (or the +) I guess.
That pun works in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and French because they're all latin-based languages. Latin never really died, it just split in four with a few splinters thrown to English to keep the catholic church happy.
That’s an oversimplification, to put it mildly. Sure, many of the words in Spanish have roots in the Latin language, but some don’t. For example, “la iglesia” comes from the Ancient Greek word “ekklesia.” Similarly, “la naranja” and “anaranjado” come from the Arabic word “al naranj.” Not to mention all of the Nahuatl, Taíno, and Quechua words that are a part of modern Spanish.
Judging from their skeletal structure, the dinosaurs chirped like birds, but due to the size the "chirping" would have sounded like extremely deep rumbling, instead.
Fun fact: 1000 roaches (30g each, about 8% protein relative to weight) would contain 2400g of protein, but a person (average adult man, assuming) would only have 55g.
The 'writing female characters as men, and changing the gender in post' thing is freaking accurate. That'll get you in the ballpark at least. If you want to deal with the points where it wouldn't. get yourself an IRL woman to go 'hey, how would you react/feel to this. or what's X like for a gal' and then go with that.

You have correctly identified the lion! Luckily he is not whatever the sign is referring to. Also, it wouldn't make sense to have a sign ONLY in English at a Swedish castle, even though it is a tourist attraction. Read about him and see an picture of the exhibit (looking nothing like the original image) in an article from the Royal Palaces' own website: Edit: It seems RUclips auto-deletes comments with external links, but googlig the following sentence WITH QUOTES should send you straight to the English article: "Leo is unlike any other lion in the world. In its glass box in the Upper Armoury, Gripsholm’s very own lion is perhaps more comical than impressive, with its close-set eyes and human-like teeth."
The thing is that the guy who made the taxidermy had seen a lion. For instant in Sweden's coat of arms. Unfortunately the coat of arms lions are way off from their portions and cannot really be used to make a real lion. If only he would have known that.
The reason, I think, that everyone loves Mimikyu; is because him being a "Pikachu rip-off" is literally part of his lore. All he wants is to be loved. But nobody can love his true form because if they see it, they go fucking insane. So he hides under an attempted disguise of the most beloved Pokémon in history, Pikachu. Poor dude just wants to be appreciated and cared for. So much so, that if his costume gets torn even slightly, he can be seen trying his hardest to repair it so nobody can see any part of his true self. Also, if I was born in the medieval era, I would've died at birth. I was born with actual holes in my heart, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy to name name few. If I, by the grace if God himself, survived past birth; I would've died by the age if like, 5 to maybe 9. My first seizure that I somewhat remember happened around that time frame. And I survived because my brother told my mom that I just randomly fell on the floor and started shaking, and she called 911. They would not have taken me to the hospital back then. They would've assumed I was either possessed by Satan, or a prophet of God, and just left me alone thinking God was speaking to me as they did with Ceasar in the Ronan era. Even in today's age, I've "died" at least twice I think. At one point for a full hour. So, yeah, I would not have lived very long.
I would have died at child birth because I was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck. Also I was under respiratory distress and most of my veins collapse. I was rushed to the hospital several times for not breathing and many more. I am lucky to be alive.
I hope you're doing well. Also, apparently I was born really premature, jaundiced, and needed a ventilator incubator thing, and the docs said I had a slim chance of living. 24 years later, I live to spite them. Thank God for medical science.

22:05 I love how the joke in the show was that everyone kept forgetting that she's blind. Meanwhile we have real people who would totally get her snark for forgetting that she's freaking BLIND.
I still remember one of the scenes where they're looking for something and she calls out "there it is", to which everyone turns to look at the nothing, then give her evils (which she's obviously immune to) and her only rebuttal is "that's what it'll sound like when one of you sees it" before waving a hand in front of her face.
5:21 i asked my sister this and she said the roaches. i disagreed and said i’d rather find a person. she was like “why the hell would you rather find a human being living in your house than a common pest” and honestly my entire reasoning is that the person probably wouldn’t reproduce while i was trying to get rid of them

Q does traditionally stand for Queer in lgbtqia, but I feel like questioning is super valid and it could absolutely stand for that if that's what you need to feel welcome and safe in the community. I identify as Queer and don't take it as a slur. Of course if someone felt like it was a slur I wouldn't use it for them, but that doesn't mean I can't use it as my identifier. My sexuality is so confusing and ever changing. Queer just fits it much better for me.
@Samuel We ......... how did you possible reach that conclusion? please google things before reaching really weird conclusions. No it is not that. The I stands for Intersex. These are people born with a biological sex that is nither male or female. this could be because of natural chromosome (like instead of xy or xx they are xxy and stuff) or hormonal diffrences that occure during their formation. Most still have the mental gender of male or female (as gender is determined by the brain structure and chemicals, and can be incongruantly formed from the bio sex) but some don't.
There's always a big fight when two identifiers share a starting letter. Don't get me started on A. Listen the letters in LGBTQ+ are what ever identifiers you want
6:04 interestingly (and sadly) this applies to much more than racial profiling and expectations of violence. Footless Jo has a video where she explains how she doesn't show pain for just about anything as a defense mechanism because she's encountered so many people all throughout her life who have just put her real pain off as exaggerated or all in her head. So she's made it a habit to just not show any pain she feels except when it's over a 10 just so people will *believe her* when she says she's in pain (along the lines of "JO is saying she's in pain? but she doesn't show pain for ANYTHING! It must be really bad if JO, of all people, is saying she's in pain"). Poor woman spent her life earning pain expression brownie points. Also, for 11:30 : cold-brew tea is when you put a teabag in cold water and just wait for it to infuse. The lower temperature prevents the tannins in the tea leaves from being dissolved in the water, making for a less bitter tea. My personal favorite way to have cold-brew tea is in summer when it's hot, you put one teabag per liter of water into a large container (I use two-liter bottles but you Americans have gallon jugs and I am jealous) and then you add some freshly sliced fruit, maybe an herb or two. One tablespoon of sugar per liter of water if you want it. Shake, then let sit in the fridge overnight. This is the only thing I drink during the hot summer where I live. You can also just get fruit teas to avoid having to slice fruit yourself - tea shops will often have blends with or without actual tea in them and with dried pieces of fruit. I use muslin bags to put those in the bottle so I can get the fruit out without a hassle. A slightly different variant of this is sun tea: just follow all the above steps and leave out in the sun for 4 hours.
I grew up in Texas and sun tea was so ubiquitous that for a solid 10-15 years or so I didn't understand that other kinds of tea existed. I know better now and have gotten into other stuff, different kinds of flavored teas and sencha and stuff, but to this day I still understand default or "real" tea to be sun-brewed black sweat tea. This is why I'm ineligible for a position as ambassador to the UK.
I havent had tea before because I've always disliked bitter tastes (also Ive never found tea in the phil) but honestly I migjt just try cold-brew or sun tea some time if my parents find any, sounds interesting for me to try
Reading only the first four parts of the cold tea post should be considered an act of blasphemy. Someone suggested microwaving the water Someone else claimed their stove could boil water in 30 seconds Someone was putting their mug directly on the hot burner. It's an *iconic* post
When I was in college, there was this girl who would be in the lab at the same time as me a lot, and she always tied a piece of yarn or ribbon or something around her test tubes, flasks, etc. I figured it was just her way of marking them so they didn't get mixed up with anyone else's. We were talking one day, and it she told me that if she didn't tie the bows, the labware would break. We also had a tile that you HAD to step on the first time you entered the lab for the day or your whole day would be screwed. Equipment wouldn't work for you. You'd get contamination. Anything and everything that could go wrong, would, and it often resulted in new students having to completely restart their experiments. You also had to memorize which one it was, because if you tried to mark it with anything, equipment would break. We tried to mark it with red painter's tape once, and like 3 pieces of equipment including the big hood stopped working. Another class thought they were slick and put a penny on it. The hand-crank centrifuge broke and hurt the guy that did it; not bad, but had some NASTY bruises on his wrist.

Her whole family seemed very judgemental, bitter, & carried a huge chip on their shoulder, which may have had something to do with being the only divorced family in her church (mormon), even though they were related to nearly everyone in the church, which made up half the tiny town we lived in (my family was one of few secular families in town). Most of my friends were Mormon & I'd never heard anyone talk badly about the family, but they did hide a lot from those of us they were trying to convert, especially the fact they were trying to convert us. The way the person described it made it sound like some sort of curse or something (which is the case with Nyan Koi, where the protag breaks a cat deity statue and has to help cats or be turned into a cat); but it has additional steps - basically, he's a pornographic comic author that has a tight deadline, but has the special power to work at super speed if he's aroused. So, it's not a curse, but rather in order to meet the insane deadline he has to constantly use that power - hence the month-long erection. When it died, the taxidermist had never actually seen a lion before (since this was one of the first lions in the country), had done the taxidermy how he thought a lion would look, resulting in the horrible (yet hilarious) monstrosity that is supposed to be a King's pet lion.

That’s an oversimplification, to put it mildly. Sure, many of the words in Spanish have roots in the Latin language, but some don’t. You have correctly identified the lion! Luckily he is not whatever the sign is referring to. Also, it wouldn't make sense to have a sign ONLY in English at a Swedish castle, even though it is a tourist attraction.
Read about him and see an picture of the exhibit (looking nothing like the original image) in an article from the Royal Palaces' own website:
Edit: It seems RUclips auto-deletes comments with external links, but googlig the following sentence WITH QUOTES should send you straight to the English article: "Leo is unlike any other lion in the world.
The teeth are really creeping me out!
I would probably die of pneumonia at 8. Or dog bite at 11 (because it wouldn't have rabies shots, plus no antibiotics)

I could listen to Robin all day. He's awesome (so are Jack and Lexi of course). His voice is so relaxing to listen to even when he's going on a rant lol
He is also the most relatable to me which makes his videos more enjoyable :-)

Why is no one talking about the 16 year old stickman inhaling entire racks of ribs like he's the doomslayer of beef

There was an episode of Batman: The Animated Series about that exact premise, "Riddler's Reform." He almost made it, but he just couldn't let go of his obsession with outsmarting Batman.
I can confirm that I want to try Gatorade bread rn afterall anyone that says no to that is a liar
It depends very much on the flavor. I am not trying the Zero Sugar Grape Gatorade bread.

I think the Blue Cherry would make the most interesting one, in terms of color or flavor.

LGBTQIA+(Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer(or questioning so it can be both or interchangeable), Intersex, Asexual, etc). I'm so glad I joined it, I've been so much happier, it opened my options for love, which is a good thing for a hopeless romantic such as myself
What do Intersex and Asexual mean? I've kind of gotten out of the loop with this stuff.
@@GenericUsername95 Intersex means naturally born with both male and female anatomy and asexual is someone that doesn’t have sexual attraction to anyone
11:30. This must be why my British friend keeps telling me how gross we are for making our tea via microwave. I had never been so offended over being accused of making something improperly, I'd also be upset if someone made my tea in a freaking microwave 😂
A few years ago I heard a recreation of what scientists believe a T Rex might have sounded like. It was described as "the scariest sound you've ever felt."
That has so much “don’t look at me in that tone of voice” energy.
@@vidmanandrew09 Basically they took sounds that surviving descendants of dinosaurs can make and scaled them up to T Rex size. The result is a sound that is LOUD and carries for miles, but is mostly on a frequency too low for humans to hear.
@@vidmanandrew09now I'm just imagining a trex having the scariest voice I can imagine, so I have an image of a 12 metere tall lizard running at me screaming in a latina mom voice about how I'm going to get the slipper if I don't slow down.
I remember someone saying that the people that tell you you can't say "queer" are just playing the game of people that want to know what category you're in so they can exclude you better for not being the right flavor of gay. So yeah. Queer.
as a aroace person that existed during the "whats the A in LGBTQIA stand for" ordeal, i felt that
ask a would you rather question but both answers are genuinely perfect in every way and that is why the question is being asked
I can't help but wonder if that guy who saw the kid just going all Kirby on those ribs had actually encountered, like, a younger sibling of Matt Stonie.
1:53 what im taking from this (using my astronomical adhd powers):
normally the coins would be much lighter than a potato, but since theyre balanced, that means thw coins' weight have increased, MEANING, their value increased. this also ties into the calculator and the phrase "big things are coming" swarming the background. also seen in the background is something that seems to be more cash, further tying into the reverse inflation idea.

Fun fact: dinosaur vocal chords are thought to just be more primitive bird vocal chords, because they're ancestors to birds, leading to the theory that the noises they made were just chirps and speaks. BUT German is WAY funnier.
So disappointed he didn't read the extended version of the cold water tea post, that mess is fantastic.

22:53 this made me more empathetic towards call workers because I always forget they have multiple things to do and people to talk to
I mean when I have to wait 45 minutes on hold, I'm not angry at the poor sap who answers, but the company who didn't hire enough people.
I love that question about middle ages death . I would have died 8 years ago when I was 24 because I had a kidney infection that nearly shut my kidneys down in only 12 hours I went from fine to life support

15:29 I'm pretty sure Shaggy _has_ actually raced against actual Olympic runners and won (not sure if he got a medal, cause I think it might not have ever been in an actual Olympic race, but the fact remains he's faster). Plus he can go from 0 to 100 at the drop of a hat, and has a reaction speed to match his running speed. There's a reason that he was completely untouchable in that one movie where they hypnotized him into being fearless (you know, the one that Ultra Instinct Shaggy was from).
Also, Shaggy is canonically a Vietnam War vet, which is why he's so skittish, in addition to the whole "being fast and physically jacked as fuck" thing.

Smeif's fun facts #1 The word queer used to just be a way of calling something unusual or strange.
Also I can relate to the clip were it talks about it being fine to question your gender and decide ok everything already checks out I think I'm good. I first questioned my sexuality and realized that it was ok to be bi in spite of my stepdad despising LGBTQ people. Then I realized, what about my gender itself. I determined that it all checked out. I'm running on default settings but with a neat purple pink and blue theme.
I love that last line

I've always seen it as Queer, but questioning totally works too. and the term queer has been reclaimed by most of us. some of the older generations my have issues with it given that it was definitely used as a slur around when they were younger, so i would say discretion as advised. but i use queer all the time
Yes to all of this
I mean, a person who's quetioning may by definition still be cishet so I don't reaply think it fits.
@@justafurrywithinternet317 Not necessarily. Labels can change over time as people discover more and more about themselves. One label might not fit anymore after a while, but that doesn't make it any less valid in the present
@@afoolishfopdoodle3284 I am aware of that. What I am saying is that someone can question their sexuality and/or their gender identity and then settle back at where they started - cishet
@@justafurrywithinternet317 Yeah, but they can still be questioning in the moment. They don't have to identify as questioning forever. Labels are fluid.
The vegetable at 5:30 looks like a Choko. Not a new vegetable, but an old one. Almost everyone seemed to have a Choko vine up to about the 80's in Australia. They just grow and grow without much need to help them. Taste pretty plain, but good to fill out a meal.
They do taste amazing with melted cheese or cheese sauce and a bit of chicken salt tho…..
Was about to correct you and say it was a chayote, but I decided to look it up first, and they're the same thing. Learn something new everyday, I guess. Anyway, if you like Filipino food, they're great in tinola as a replacement for green papaya.

I was really curious about the month long erection anime as I love ridiculous plots like that (I am so freaking stoked that they're turning "I Was Reborn As A Vending Machine" into an anime), so I did some digging and found the actual synopsis of the show (called Darling).
It's also hentai, so that explains the ridiculous penis superpower plot device.
excuse me, "I was reborn as a vending machine"? please elaborate on how that situation came to be.
@@TheBananaMan971well, it started when homie got isekai'ed after some kind of traffic accident (I think it involved truck-kun) and he happened to have an obsession with vending machines so in the new world he became a vending machine that is able to harness the products of any vending machine known to the MC, which is a lot. There are some other details but it's surprisingly good all things considered.

Dead End PP is hilarious. One of the main characters is a demon named Courtney. There is an episode where the entire gag is she tries to steal the eyeballs of a talking dog. Highly recommend checking it out.

Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese are all Romance languages. The same joke works in all 4 of those languages because they follow the same language structure. While English is a Germanic language, it borrows several words from other languages so the joke works in English as well.

Oh man, I remember the I Feel Sick comic book! It has been over 20 years but I am pretty sure a couple panels are missing from the meme format. Basically, the scene was a flashback where the main character was describing working in customer service and just how frustratingly stupid customers can be. Having worked retail... I have had that exact scenario happen, customer comes up and wants you to find an item for them but have zero useful info on what the item is. Whether the gun was for the customer or for herself, tbh, up to your interpretation, either way, the urge for violence is very real.
7:14 Dead End is actually really good, I loved it. the main character is a Jewish transgender man. I was really disappointed when they cancelled it

25:20 Wait no but honestly bless librarians. When I was young I went up once and told one I was looking for a book, didn't remember the title, but I remembered what the cover of the book looked like. She found it in like 5-10 min after I had been searching through the shelves for over an hour
4:57 Actually, that taxidermy was done by someone who had never seen a lion before, and had no references. A king back in 1731, was gifted a lion (one of the first lions in Scandinavia). When it died, the taxidermist had never actually seen a lion before (since this was one of the first lions in the country), had done the taxidermy how he thought a lion would look, resulting in the horrible (yet hilarious) monstrosity that is supposed to be a King's pet lion.
Even if he never saw a lion, you'd think he'd at least have seen a housecat at some point
