I was born into a country with an appropriate minimum wage, universal healthcare, free education up until cheap university, free public transport for students and a government that's keeping companies in line from indulging in their worst instincts. I didn't vote for that, I didn't make it happen, it was just the situation.
And you currently live under a system which isn't very humane but that says nothing about you or Americans in general beyond 'you are getting a bad deal'. 2 Economic crises have happened yet the min wage is still the same, no mandated PTO, limited sick days (because you can totally control how often you get sick /s) a strong lobby that buys those in power to serve corporate interests rather than the people. Insulin need not cost $300, but it does, because it can.
Honestly, I feel terrible about how Americans are treated by their government, corporations and media, but even worse when the citizens get judged on factors outside their control. I'm not better than you, I just get a better deal than you. Anybody that judges you for getting a worse deal than them is a jerk, because most of us had nothing to do with the quality of the deal we are getting. Good luck :/

and trust me, this is not a stressful environment for a cat

To answer your question at 6:43, it is likely true. Equations are used in gaming for coding. Referenced in tf2 even with the engineer class' favorite equation being the one used to determine in-game lighting
But it's unnecessary large and it only has one variable lol
The shakey shake algorithm is complex because in early games it only calculated the catch rate once and the number of shakes had nothing to do with it. They updated it to make the actual mechanics match what it looks like, so now the pokemon has a chance to escape every shake. The complex math is designed to make it so the catch rate matches the old numbers anyway

@@Azoperoa its still true, this is the new algorithm. The old one was basically every pokemon had a base catch rate lets say between 1-10 (it’s actually way different but im simplifying) then the game adds points to that catch rate based on how low health the Mon is and if its asleep. Now each pokeBall has a is given a random number when it’s thrown, better balls have bigger numbers. If the balls number is bigger than the pokemons number it catches.
But how does that work? What was shown on the post was just a bunch of equivalent statements. What is the variable a? Is there a full formula somewhere?

There are also prosthetics you can get to ADD limbs to your body. Tom scott made a video about a thumb.

I have seen the algorithm for ball shaking used in Pokemon essentials (starter pack for pokemon fan games on RPG maker).

Made jokes about a woman he worked with after she committed suicide, also blamed modern media for the rising suicide rates and claimed that depression ‘didn’t exist’ when he was young, and that they used to just get over it. Him and his wife also support an organization that claims praying can cure things like autism, cancer, and PTSD. Homophobic and transphobic, has backed a few Christian organizations that are notorious for being both. A few times he’s interacted with strangers online solely to misgender and be weird to them. He also has a grudge against introverts for some reason. He went on a tirade in one episode of his podcast about how introverted people are self-centered and selfish, and that they should just stop being introverted. It really came out of nowhere.
He’s also done some scammy things I’ve heard, but I don’t know much about it. Also complains that everyone who criticizes anything about him or his creations is “weak” and usually approaches it with that old condescending, ‘sorry you feel that way’ attitude. Butch is just a man-child with too much time and money.

We aren't allowed to take them though, because the store doesn't technically "own" the product. We sell it to customers for a bakery in the city and get a cut.
