I’m glad you did this I remember you cover the Parallel Axis PATB-2 I believe.
I copped a pair in black and gold for my Jackson SLX X series 2020 Lava Orange Crackle which I’ve customized with black and adonized gold titanium pieces.
what’s interesting about my set was that I got it The neck pickup for a Floyd rose set up where the neck pickup has to have the standard spacing for the narrowing of the strings as they come closer to the finger board the string gap has to match the Pole pieces, and had MJ Set the output for the neck and also can be flipped on the neck where the crazy 8 north coil is closer to the neck for split coil action on customized wiring.Straight fire, especially if you can play arpeggiated runs or playing triplets really hear that single coil twang.
Edit: In addition to this being a passive pickup,it’s one of the higher output pickups that can be pushed with a tight modern overdrive to control saturation and you’ll get that nice bright articulate passive crunch with the Alnico II magnet In combination with the resistance (My bridge came a little hotter at 19.1K in DC Resistance). One good example of this Tone is on the track of “Removal Of The Oaken Stake” on the Intro when EQ’d into the mix which he did use this pickup and the homemade ones during the “Verminous” sessions.

I got this years and years ago just because it was a new concept at that time (early early 90s).
I think it has a great sound. A bit of nostalgia goes with this pickup, too 😃

Blues is a beast, I got turned on to his playing by Dimebag Darrell when I asked him about his plaid tattoo.

Is it icepicky/thin or shrilly sounding? I love the tone but I believe that it might be too sharp! I hate icepick...

Good demo the pickup it seems clean tones not so bright distortion. it sounds so dark.

I'm not sure if it was the recording technique or the pickup but it sounds like my ears are popped and all the high end is missing.

I think it’s time to transition and record right into a DAW 😕

I agree. Sounded kind of flat and not very dynamic.

It's not that bad, dude. It's just not the greatest cab sound. It's just really dark due to the strong lows and low mids. Maybe try some other IRs.@@nikaxeguitar

I've been using Dimebuckers for a few years now, have one in three guitars (only one's a Dean). I like this one, but I'd like to check it out irl. Sounds real punchy on my phone though!
