He does work on his guitars HIMSELF? like us peasants? That's so COOL
Gotta remember that EVH also did the same thing!!
I do as much of my own guitar work as i can so i know its set up exactly how i want it. I've been so disappointed everytime i paid a professional to set my guitar up. Their idea of playing great can be completely different than what you prefer. My dad used to take his guitar back into his tech several times until he got it just right. And that tech said he liked working on my dads gear because he had to try harder to nail a certain feel, when most customers had no clue and took it home first time happily.
You scallop your own fretboards? I don't imagine that's easy work.
@@NinjaRunningWild Scallops are overrated, but if I were to scallop a fretboard I would practice it on a cheap guitar before digging into something I'd actually play. Even Yngwie recommends this in his old instructional vid. Yngwie scalloped his own when he was starting out. Seems like these days people are afraid to work on guitars and experiment... Hell, EVH was not only crazy enough to fully customize his guitars, but also screw around with amplifier electronics, which isn't a safe thing to do...
Ellis is a true G. Kid does it all ❤
Phil Campbell from motorhead plays LAG guitars.. I own a Phil Campbell LAG signature s1000PC explorer. Brandons the only other person I've seen with their guitars. That company is awesome.
i just saw them play it was insane
Inspiring us to buy 100 more guitars
please make more of these!!
What an awesome dude and amazing musician! Im so glad he's in The Black Dahlia Murder!! ❤
We need more guitar collection videos
i dont think the man can fit more guitars in that room haha
I woul like to see Bill Kelliher and Brent Hinds guitar collection
I’m going to be starting a new guitar review channel very soon . I will be featuring Ibanez, Jackson, Kramer and possibly a few others. Stay tuned 😊
@@GeorgeBonezhave you started this channel yet?
I’ll be starting one
Soon. I believe I have about 80 Les Paul’s and 30 or so other brands.
His new Jackson custom is amazing......I really hope they do a similar signature model of it for us normal people.
imagine how expensive itll be :(
For real. I have his green crackle and as soon as I saw the new gold I was like whelp “guess I gotta save up again” lol
Shut up and take my money
I cannot seem to find a picture of it
"normal people"
Is anyone else pumped for a possible new album!?
i can't wait to see what Brian has to offer as a lead vocalist instead of a backing vocalist. i've watched a few videos of him singing live and holy damn -- i'm sure Trevor is proud of him.
with Knight back in the band, i suspect that the possible new record will have a bit of older BDM writing mixed in with the (really solid) newer stuff.
I would definitely consider myself a boring traditionalist with guitar designs, but that gold crackle is ridiculously cool. Excited to see it up on stage Saturday night
I’ll be there Saturday too. The anticipation for this show has been driving me crazy. This’ll be my 9th time seeing them over the years!
@@metalgetsmehigh Hell yeah! I think this will be number six for me
@@metalgetsmehigh Checking back in, that was an awesome fuckin show from top to bottom, though I was *SUPER* bummed that Phobophilic had to drop
@@Drforrester31 Agreed, it was a great package. I was bummed about Phobophilic as well, luckily I had seen them in December so it stung a bit less.
His Jackson is probably the only Kelly body style I’d own. I love love love his finishes and the specs he demands. And the fact that he works on his guitars HIMSELF makes being a fan of his that much better!
The Jeff Loomis Kelly is sweet, but very expensive.
I completely agree, they're awesome
My wife said 15 was too many... Lol.
Brandon seems like one of the most level headed guys in the industry, just seems like a top bloke who would join you at the pub
And he has or did have a Porsche 944. My guy has good taste galore
Can confirm - after seeing TBDM the other night, after the set he hung out having a beer and chatting with the shredder dudes who made a bee line for him to talk guitar. A gracious, chill dude who can play guitar like a motherfucker
I realized that all guitars in his collection are so clean and looks cool. He also knows how to collect guitars. He deserves a lot of respect. And his playing… words are not enough to describe… Well done Brandon 🎉
Guys, I think he likes Jackson guitars
Brandon walking into a guitar shop: "Do you have anything in crackle?" 😂
Yesterday I was literally thinking he should do a collection video and here I’m blessed with this today!
I feel way better about my G.A.S.
Turns out, i dont have a problem... 🤣🤘
16 Minutes of ahhhhhh , ohhhhhhh , mhhhhhhh !!! Impressive Collection in the right hands !!!
3:13 holy shit in my 20 years of playing I had no idea the sustainer could be played WITHOUT being plugged into an amp!!!!!!
Haha, me neither. I know what I'm doing on my next visit to the guitar shop!
Depends on how you wire it. For me personally, I prefer it to sustain when there's a cable plugged in, because otherwise I'll forget about it. Nice failsafe, IMO.
God, I miss Trevor
Use to play there metal
Blade documentary never not sober at 14 because of it !!! Rip Trevor !!!!
Impressive. Very nice.
Now let's see Paul Allen's sweet guitar collectsh
I have to return some video tapes
@@BrandonEllisGtr Eggshell.
I swear Brandon has the best taste in axes! #ItsInMyBlood
Jackson telling one of the best current metal guitarist he has to wait a YEAR? That just seems messed up to me.....Back in the day, they would have bumped him up to front, took care of him fast
Hey Brandon (since you seem to read these comments), do you still have any of your Caparisons? Weren’t those your favorites once upon a time?
I do not. I liked those guitars, but I never found "my" caparison. I talked to them about an endorsement once aeons ago when I was playing a Dark Night TAT... they were basically unwilling to do anything for me and I moved on.
What a cool tour, he knows his guitars like old friends, each one comes with endless stories and nostalgia. I love the fact that he works on his own guitars and does some amazing mods most guys would never consider. I don't know a lot about Jackson guitars, but I do have a Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX on my wish list, with through neck design and so many nice parts it will make a nice addition to my tiny collection. great to see someone so passionate about guitars!
Gibson MIII, Yamaha Blues Saraceno, Hamer Scarab and all the crackle Jacksons and Vesters - Brandon is a true shredder guitar connoisseur. Love all the DIY stuff too.
Blues Saraceno is a name I haven't heard in years. I thought the same when I saw those pole pieces. I always wanted one of those yamaha sigs
I see Brandon I hit like. Dude is an amazing player.
Finally ! That's the video was expecting for years! Thank you guys! You're great!!
so glad you took us through your collection! always wanted to see :) thanks Brandon.
Not even a single bass 🥲
The logo matching the paint job is really cool.
Also, I couldn’t see the Porche sticker he pointed out
First Deserve then desire. Well deserved
Down to earth awesome guitar player and wonderful human being
This dude deserves in fortune that comes his way, and I hope it’s a lot!
Out of all of them guitars I want the Fender Strat the most. It’s stunning. I would love to own a Fender Telecaster more than any other guitar though but that will Neville lots of saving. One day though.
Do ryan knight next
Or Jim Root
@@TheUnknownReject we seen jim roots collection. Kind of boring.
@@skycaptain141 only a glimpse
@@skycaptain141 and that was ten years ago
@@skycaptain141 *saw
So many tremolos to go out of tune 🫠
Not the way he does em mane lol
@@Jammin0321 Explain?
Super rad collection. I love that Brandon unapologetically is this into the shred guitars. Although I own four or five total “blues lawyer” guitars and love them, my heart is with 80s inspired shred guitars and I feel they don’t get enough love these days. Glad to see someone nerding out this hard on these guitars for a change versus a bunch of djent or vintage guitars.
100% man. Right there with you. I have two old 80s Hamers, two 80's ESPs, 80's Vester! Always collecting more! 🤘
LOVE Aria as a brand. Some of the hottest humbuckers I've ever played. Rock on Brandon. Great collection!
The Blues Saraceno is extremely cool. I haven't seen one of those in a long time.
And the fact he tweaks his own guitars just like us ordinary hard-working citizens is considered badass in my book.
Really cool seeing all of Brandon’s guitars!!! Out of dumb luck, I stumbled upon BDM playing Tap Tap Revenge on my phone back in the day, tapping away to Necropolis. Brandon is such a good dude and one heck of a guitarist!
George lynch fan so you know he was a cool dude lol
Brandon is the perfect definition of a modern metal musician.
I love that Brandon is a hands on diy type of guy!!! Obviously he knows the instrument inside and out in every way. Really rekindled my love of crackle and Kelly guitars! Great video!
Now let's see that amp collection. 😎
Man it’s so nice to see a guitar collection so similar to my own. I get so tired of seeing 60 different Les Pauls and 300 Fenders.
I’m primarily an Ibanez guy but I have my fair share of Jackson’s and Kramer.
Great collection and thanks for showing us around.
Different strokes for different folks! If i were to have a collection, it will have different shapes, not so much into brand loyalty.
@@TheSunMoon I guess I have a little brand loyalty but like you I’m more into different shapes colors styles etc. Although I mostly play big hair shredder style music I recently bought a couple of hollow bodies. They are a really fun to play. I don’t really have anything against Fender & Gibson. It’s just that those kind of collections dominate RUclips. It’s really nice to see a more diverse collection like yours.
@@GeorgeBonez agreed! Rock on!
I swear. If you took a shot every time he said the word “crackle”. You’d be high-fiving Jesus in the morning 🤣
Didn't Jacksons quality go down after they were bought out by fender?
Love the music and now come to find out he’s a fellow 944 owner!
If you google "passion" you get a picture of this guy.
Thanks Metal Injection for reminding me which band Brandon Ellis plays with again.
Brandon is one of the best guitarist out there today! Such a sick tone! Keep on ripping brother!
well this makes my stock PRS and Schecter seem sad
This was super dope, you should do one with Corey Beaulieu next
It'll be an hour long, that guy has so many guitars.
Killer collection. Love the old Japanese stuff. Those Aria Pros were the jam back in the day.
He seems like such a cool and down to earth dude. I'd love to hang out in his guitar dungeon for an afternoon
WOW, what an incredible collection! I had my 1992 Jackson USA Soloist stolen out of my home several years ago. I absolutely LOVED that guitar. No matter how aggressively I played that guitar it just always played like silk, so it truly helped me take my playing to a whole other level. I had saved for years to afford that guitar, and unfortunately because of the cost, I was never able to replace it. All these years later I'm still heartbroken over losing it. They took my Jackson, my 50W Marshall JCM800 head, my TV and my stereo. The only thing they left of my gear was my Marshal slant front cabinet, which I subsequently sold in order to purchase a cheap guitar and practice amp. I haven't been in a band since. I still wake up some morning just crushed over losing the Jackson and the Marshall. The rest of the stuff I couldn't care less about, but to me those two pieces were irreplaceable. Of course life and kids took priority, so when they stole my stuff that day, I lost a huge chunk of who I was. Boo Hoo, right?
Much respect! Thanks for sharing Brandon!!
Dude, I posted like ten seconds in. Wow! What an amazing collection. Very nice
Listen to the sustain on that, you could go for a bite to eat, you’ll still be hearing that one.
He’s not the guitarists that we asked for… he’s the guitarists that we needed 🤘🏻
I’m gonna go out on a limb & say he deserves/earned every one of those guitars! 🤘❤️
Jackson/Charvel , no other makes can even come close to their superior badassness
Imagine having to setup all those guitars.
his color variation is amazing, reminds me of dimebags collection
Sickest guitar collection in the metal game by far. And one of the best players
Do the same with Ryan Knight please.
Holy crap, as a metal kid of the 80s this is a collection of the guitars I used to dream about. Super impressed with the HM strats and M3.
I clicked on this fast. Who else did the same 💯
7:25 I have a MIJ eerie dess swirl DK2 with the "scoop" on the lower horn like that. HSS with a floyd (licensed JT580lp insteald of an actual floyd, but juding by the mini toggles on his and the capped hole it has had work done to it so that may have been swapped too idk). You can find them (DK2s) in various paint jobs on Reverb (often mistakenly listed as 90s models because people see the 9xxxxx serial and don't realize they stopped being date coded and moved to sequential in the mid 90s). Long story short, I don't think the scoop makes it a fusion or a custom order or parts guitar, just a rarer colorway of the DK2. Either way cool guitar in a great collection.
But it is a USA. I just removed the tone pot and put the vol pot in it's place, capped the original vol pot hole. The mini toggles are factory.
In the early 90s there wasn't even a production USA dinky, only fusions for bolt-on neck. And even after, the first official DK1 only had 22 frets. So this one is definitively a custom order.
@@BrandonEllisGtr oh didnt realize it was a US. You're right it has to be a custom order or something then. Sad Jacksons records got largely left behind when Fender took over.
Either way, rad collection, love it and the music dude. \m/
Such a cool guy. There is literally not one guitar I would want to own in this collection but I avidly watched all of this. It's cool to see somebody with a different taste than the ordinary.
Pretty much his whole collection lol…that’s the most insane ax collection and it fits because Brando is simple one of the best shredders in metal period
That latest signature gold is just sick.Blues Saraceno plaid guitar rare collection there.I really like that he kept the room really neat, respect 👍
no 7 or 8 strings :(
He deserves all these and more honestly. He’s the best guitar around right now
I mean...lets be humble here haha. theres a lot of axe wielders out there.
"Which is like a retro thing that nobody really does anymore" @8:25
*Gibson has entered the chat*
Yeah, you right about that I admit
Imagine making this guy audition... lol.
Awesome player and collection. My favorite- the Greco LP copy. Absolutely perfect
Biz bi sağlam gitar alamıyoruz ikinci el bile sen depoyu gitarlarla doldurmuşsun dayı ag diyorum ne diyim..
Absolutely amazing player. Had a pretty gnarly Amp collection too from what I’ve seen in his videos.
I was happy to see that he has more guitars than I do. Then I realized that he’s a professional guitar player and I’m just a guy who does something else for a living.
this is awesome! Please please do more of these!
That Titanium Han Taug tremolo on the snakeskin Kelly is wicked. I do love a Kelly with a reverse headstock. Cool collection for sure!
Im drunk and jealous tbh
I remember seeing TBDM for the Unhallowed Resurrection Tour which was the first tour Brandon was on and he was sick, saw them a couple weeks ago again and it's dope seeing TBDM still killing it.
Love those Greco and Burny LP’s. I have a few myself and they rip. Those Jackson’s are sweet!!
Dan Lawrence is amazing! I have three of his guitars, one custom painted that is spectacular. Dan has painted more well known guitars than anyone else most likely.
Really fn' cool collection. This dude has class and taste.
Lag, Peavey, Yamaha, Vester, and Aria guitars. Mr. Ellis clearly you are a man of culture.
OK!!!!! Blues Sarceno RGX PLAID guitar was my dream axe when I was beginning my guitar journey. Still looking today. I'm so jealous.
Awesome collection dude!!!!!
Being a Jackson aficionado,.....I figured he would've had at least one "Swee-Tone"models.
You are a huge inspiration Brandon. Rock on buddy 🤘🤘
Guitarz guitarz guitarz I thinkz i'z juzt pitched ah tent ah ahz I meanz ma six string juzt stood up'z underz da tent..lolz..luv the axe'z brother man, lolz ..rs ..

Be honest brandon... Who turned you onto kellys .. it was that damned marty friedman. Wasnt it?
What no James Hetfield guitars ... no G&L guitars what holy crap batman 😳
That's an awesome collection that gold leaf kelly WOW! I bet that's incredible to play. Us mortals will probably never get to play an axe of that magnitude 😂Those old strats are awesome too, I like all of them what a cool collection man.
