Chuggaaconroy the tumbleweeds are erratic, but there is always one thing that is constant about them. They always appear when the wind picks up, and will be travelling in the direction of the wind. If you pay attention to the wind, it becomes clear very rapidly that they aren't rare at all. The wind picks up *all the time*. once you start looking for it, tumbleweeds are easy. It took me maybe ten minutes to grind SIXTEEN.

I always thought that the time shift stones weren't bringing them into the future but you were going back to the past in that area, and that's why they don't notice anything outside of the shift. So while they're talking about the mining operation like it's still going on, from their perspective, it still is.
The Jiggler that's right we don't know how far back in time timeshift stones can go, so unless they always go back to like the first time they've been activated after being mined then well eventually it will be a desert no matter what
on the bright side, if you remember Twilight Princess, the Lanayru region is where Lake Hylia is, so in the future this area isn't as much of a desert anymore
which would mean someone brought life back to the desert @link it's best to assume the time stones go back to when demise was first sealed as evidenced by the end game they where probably mining them to create the gate way
You also need a peacekeeper, a hat and, know how to m'lady ..... And 100% ultimate charge chugga might be able to do a couple of those things but link how is he going to m'lady when all he can do is grunts
Tumbleweeds do spawn in at inconvenient times, but as long as you pay attention to whenever the wind picks up and you see a bit of sand kicked up, that means one has spawned and you can get a bit more time to react and collect it.
Hey Emile I just want to say thank you for being an awesome person and uploading everyday cause no matter if im sitting at home or getting off work I know I'll be able to come back to a new video from you can't wait for whats next
You know what, Chugga's pep and cheer and general YAHOOO attitude in the first bit of video, and generally throughout all his videos is absolutely wonderful. Brings my heart joy
Surprised Chugga didn't know that a skyward strike's damage is always equal to half the damage of a sword swing of that type )except for a spin attack, which adds damage I believe). So if your sword gets stronger, so does your skyward strike
One thing that I can say about SS is that with every new area introduced thus far, they got progressively more open and more interesting. Lanayru Desert is the one that is the most memorable to me because of how LONG i spent exploring that area. .... that being said watching this episode reminds me just how much of that time was spent on fighting those electric super snails. "I swear I'm positive about this game, guys!" - Emile, 2017. In all seriousness, I like this game. After LPing it, it dawned on me that it has a lot of tedium applied to many of its mechanics, but I can still praise it for what it wants you to do: get creative with how you go around puzzles and fights. I like that you point out small details and nods that make this game all the more enjoyable, but if you're gonna make it a point to prove that this is a good game that you can be really positive about, maybe don't emphasize that much on the bad stuff. I agree some things are annoying, but you've gone against your enthusiastic point a couple of times now. Sorry for the wall of text, I'm still enjoying the LP! Thanks for your hard work, Emile.

Chuggaaconroy, you missed a goddescube. I know you don't like this part of the dessert and i don't know if you could get it but you can see it clearly at 10:42 in this video.
I love the beetle. It's great XD Also, when you started yelling about the tumbleweed in the very beginning, so was I--I know all too well the pain of being a little too slow on the net draw.
I wish I could be early. That way, I could actually post tips that people will see. Like Sand Hopping. Which is extremely useful in the area that chugga struggles with this episode.
Hyper Sound *I'm so glad you asked.* Sand hopping is a technique I use to get accross pits of sand in skyward sword. Step 1: Z-Target and jump forward with a quick tap of A. Step 2: After jumping, swing the wii remote mid-air to have link do a jump attack. this allows you to jump higher/farther than a normal jump while simultaneously attacking. Step 3: Just before link lands on the sinksand, press and hold A to dash on the sand and make it to the next patch of solid ground. Using this technigue lets you conserve stamina by increasing the amount of distance you travel, rather than using your stamina up from the start. No stamina potion required! Since most of the areas with sinksand are around the same length, using "Sand hopping" will allow you to save around 1/3rd of your stamina.
I'm sure someone has already said this, but tumbleweeds always spawn at a regular rate for me. What I do is I run up and down that stretch between the entrance to the main area past Lanayru Mines, and the area with the cages, just back and forth, and watch for the desert sand to blow. You know a tumbleweed has spawned when the dust starts blowing in the wind around Link. This isn't helpful, being that this is over a year late, but hey, I said something anyway.
Guys, I have a question to ask: Do you think I should do a playthrough of Twilight Princess and this game with only 3 heart containers? This will be my first time ever doing so, and it's for anticipation of Breath of the Wild. I have beaten both 100%, but I'm not sure if it will be completely hard or easy. What do you guys think? Sorry if this question isn't related to the video, but I have to ask.
***** Yeah, it does. I wanted to post this on Chuggaa's playthrough specifically because he was the one who inspired me to do this. And plus, this question was directed towards the Zelda fans here who might have given me advice on doing a 3-heart run.
I have not done it myself, but my younger sister has done a 3 heart TP run (she also has her run down to about 13.5 hours without glitches and I keep telling her she should practice to speed run it) The biggest thing she found during it was you will rely extremely heavily on your shield in both TP and SS. TP got pretty difficult when enemies started hitting for 2 hearts each. SS gave you a little more of a buffer, but you will need to keep a very close eye on your shield.
ToanDef yeah the Beatle was older model when that ancient robot was working. A sign that the time shift stones go to the past is that things like dead monsters and broken robots, start to work when the time shift stone is on. Why would there be dead monsters and broken robots in the present if they come from the future. I hope that cleared that up for you
you can see the broken down robots and the bones of the tecnoboblins. And how the tecnoboblin reverted to a skeleton the moment it left the time shifts stones area of influence.
I hope I wasn't the only one shouting at the screen "use the beetle", when he was trying to deal with the amphilus in the sinksand? And also facepalmed when he let the golden ornamental skull slip through his fingers. I guess that's one of the reasons whe we like chuggaconroy's videos.
In my own testing with this game, I've found that you can reliably get Tumbleweeds to spawn by running in any particular direction for a certain amount of time and then stopping. They also seem to more commonly spawn near certain spots (such as near the rock columns, near the tree in the right corner, or near the wall directly across from the entrance), so if you kinda go in a big circle around the first flat area, you'll be able to get them in no time. I'm pretty convinced they always intentionally spawn just offscreen from you, and usually do so from behind, which is why running in a straight line and then stopping works so well. (By the way, I think you need 16 to upgrade everything in the game, so if you're playing along and want to get them ground out all at once, there you go).
The way Emile is in such disbelief at the concept of advanced technology existing in the past, you'd think he'd never heard of a precursor race before. Halo and Mass Effect would blow his mind.
Under 2 minutes, almost 200 hundred comments and over hundreds of views. Some of waiting a good chunk of time refreshing the page. Congratulations Chugga. You're subscribers are stalker levels of insane.

Chugga, from my experience of farming tumbleweed for hours I have drawn the conclusion that they always spawn when an Ampilus starts attacking me.
zaxory no, always spawn when the wind is getting stronger
Actually, the Tumbleweeds spawn when there is a gust of wind. This is show as puffs of sand blowing across the screen. Just FYI.
zaxory i've always noticed them spawn when you see the wind blow
weird, then that means the wind starts blowing when the Anpilus starts attacking. What I said in my previous comment has always been true for me.

The Bearded Amprat from the Pikmin series is another victim of this reading.
I was gonna make that pun if weren't for you.
... -_-
Reminds me of how I read "Bearded Amprat" as "Bearded Armpit" in Pikmin 3!
It's also sad to think that when the timeshift stones activate far enough in the future, the past will just be desert and not lush plants.

I wish I could be early. That way, I could actually post tips that people will see. Like Sand Hopping. Which is extremely useful in the area that chugga struggles with this episode.
What's sand hopping?
Hyper Sound *I'm so glad you asked.*
Sand hopping is a technique I use to get accross pits of sand in skyward sword.
+Lord Tullus 9 [Puffy Sprinkles] Huh, thanks! That might come in handy at some point in Lanayru Mining Facility.
Name the loftwing as prepona
Or Loftona(I'm sorry)
Chugga, when describing the robots working endlessly, you just described the start. of Wall-E.
Guys, I have a question to ask:
Do you think I should do a playthrough of Twilight Princess and this game with only 3 heart containers? This will be my first time ever doing so, and it's for anticipation of Breath of the Wild. I have beaten both 100%, but I'm not sure if it will be completely hard or easy. What do you guys think? Sorry if this question isn't related to the video, but I have to ask.
FireNinja606 Do it! However, you'll have six hearts for Skyward Sword, as you start with that ant compared to Twilight Princess.
hylianofthewoods skyward swords hard mode is so fucking difficult, everything seems to do 2. Hearts and no hearts spawn
***** I didn't do so specifically because this wasn't going to be a RUclips video, but something on my own private time.
24:24 "GO SCREW YOURSELF IN A DITCH, BUT NOT THE DITCH YOU LIVE IN. THAT WOULD BE COMMON EVERYDAY LIFE FOR YOU." lol
im betting that the next episode that has battrey fail is going ot be 22
any one else wish to lay their bets
Ender ember I'm betting for a battery fail in the last 5 episodes, to ruin the climax of the plot
4:21 "Rolling" in to new materials. -Totally not a tumbleweed amirite-
Why do you assume the time shift stones send you back? Wouldn't it make more sense if it sent you forward? With all the future stuff and all...
When the robot talked about the beetle, he said it was an older model
ToanDef outright stated by the game. No assumption.
When you activate your first Timeshift Stone, Fi outright tells you that you're in the past.
And how the tecnoboblin reverted to a skeleton the moment it left the time shifts stones area of influence.
when I was playing spririt tracks, the first boss is a giant beetle. all i could think was YOU GAVE IT TO MUCH POWER CHUGGA!
;)
Gah!
Slim Shasey congrats u are actually first
12:42 He passed up the final Buyable Wallet Upgrade 2 Episodes ago and here he is with only room for 200 Rupees left in his Wallet.
4:20 We're rolling in new materials, we're tumbling in new materials, you name it!
this redundant explanation is really becoming the new it doesn't affect misdreavus
I like how you used various grunting noises from Link for the "Redundant Explanation" text instead of Mario saying "D'oh"
I was internally screaming when Chugga refused to use the damn beetle to take out the Ampilus at first.
Idk if he said this and I missed it, but the music changes when you go from the past-Lanayru to the present-Lanayru. It's a very nice touch.
Every LP has to have at least one episode to horribly stress Emile. Enjoy that ice cream, you deserve it. #AmpilusAnimosity
"We are just _rolling_ in new materials." You mean like those tumbleweeds? ;)
Chugga: "It's all repeats from here on out, I know"
You mean like the entire Zelda series in a nutshell?
OH! *claps* BURNNNN!
The way Emile is in such disbelief at the concept of advanced technology existing in the past, you'd think he'd never heard of a precursor race before. Halo and Mass Effect would blow his mind.
The Ampilus is the absolute worst. For one who also enjoys Lanayru Desert, this enemy is one big piece of sand in your face about this place
"Tumbleweeds sometimes...." Oh. Thank you Fi. Again.
Under 2 minutes, almost 200 hundred comments and over hundreds of views. Some of waiting a good chunk of time refreshing the page. Congratulations Chugga. You're subscribers are stalker levels of insane.
Watching Chugga constantly low on stamina: "Looks like someome needs a Grass Crest Shield."
Get it?
24:24 I half expected you to go all willy wonka on us Emile
