I love how humble he is. Totally downplaying his accomplishment while building up everyone else around him regardless of their formal education credentials.
That’s why his Podcast Conan O’Brien needs a friend is so good. I’ve enjoyed every single episode I listened to, whether I knew the guest or not, or whether it was a celebrity or fan lol he’s arguably better without a script than he was with one on late night
Geez, Conan is such a genius he wrote on the Simpsons, hosted the best late night talk show of all time, and fed The Rock lines for the WWE. They don't teach that at Harvard!
@@90whatever For me it's Carson (almost cheating to include Carson, but if we're ranking everyone), with Ferguson a close second and then Conan. All three were/are true greats.
Conan just might be the greatest comedy minds of a generation, yet remains so humble everyone can actually picture themselves, no matter of background, education, or even not having anything to do with the comedy business, having actual conversation with in person.
I've always loved that catchphrase and instantly remembered it when The Rock said it all those years ago. I love it even more now I know the origin of the phrase. Conan is a legend and a genuine lovely person.
Conan and The Rock are great together. I remember when Conan interviewed him on his late night show, it was always hilarious. Mind blowing to know that Conan wrote one of The Great One's one liners
Conan has definitely gotta be one of if not the best late night talk show host. He is extremely smart and funny. Very humble. He jokes around but also treats people with respect and you can tell he gets a long with a lot of people.
Is Conan coming back? I loved his Conan without borders and watching him travel and interact with people. He is hilarious. He should return with a show where he travels the world
@@donmogsleyforever he wrote a few episodes and I believe a staff writer so he wasn't always credited as writer on those early seasons but still contributed.
I started watching Conan by mistake. When I was in the 4th grade I was packing late at night for a trip to Mexico. It was conans first season at Late Night. I was hooked.
I used to love that.Anytime a guest would mention be went to Harvard he would correct them and say Harvard school of driving. I always wanted a Harvard School of Driving T-shirt
I loved the Tommy Blacha shout-out. That he oversaw the diamonding of Ten Minute Podcast is heartbreakingly unfortunate ‘cos he is a great comedic mind
The Rock also coined the name "Coco" for Conan during an episode of the show because he learned that Conan's name is Conan Christopher O'Brien which is how the name "Coco" was born.
To be fair, it used to be a lot easier to get into Harvard. Nowadays you need a 4.5 GPA, the big ring from Lord of the Rings, and reference letters from the hierarchy of extraterrestrials using the Earth for their own nefarious purposes.

Conan gets the $$$s. So .... that's a plus?

And that's why we love conan.
He learned that at Harvard
I could listen to Conan talk forever. He’s so genuine, funny, and interesting.
He's the only talk show host that's likable. His comedic timing is always perfect. Creates humor from absolutely nothing

Geez, Conan is such a genius he wrote on the Simpsons, hosted the best late night talk show of all time, and fed The Rock lines for the WWE. They don't teach that at Harvard!
How could you FORGET....ALSO a writer on SNL
I would argue that Craig Ferguson was probably the best late night talk show host with Conan a very close 2nd

I miss Conans show so much, It was always my favorite late night talk show. He's so funny, unique and creative.
The best part was that he was genuine.
His podcast is much better and lets him do what he does best: be funny.
Conan: the joke came from
The Rock: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE THAT JOKE CAME FROM!!
100% the correct response😂
When Conan set up the scene I was kind of hoping that it was the "it doesn't matter" line
Conan just might be the greatest comedy minds of a generation, yet remains so humble everyone can actually picture themselves, no matter of background, education, or even not having anything to do with the comedy business, having actual conversation with in person.
It's older than Conan. I'm surprised he's trying to take credit for it.

Conan was the one of the reasons why early Simpsons was SOOO funny.
Up to season 8. Season 9 was ok.

I've been a big fan of Conan before the rock... then became a huge rock fan in THAT era. It comes full circle. Soo cool.
Conan was the one Late Night Show I would actually watch entire episodes of. Thank you, for existing! 💘
