- Today i got to fly with Bill Burr. I asked him to do some stand up comedy for me in the helicopter but he said there wasn't enough room in there to stand up. We were flying the Cabri G2 and we flew from Abbotsford CYXX airport over to Vancouver Harbour and back. Bill is from Los Angeles but has never flown here in BC before. He wanted to discover bc from the air since he was here for a show anyways.
I filmed this video on a GoPro Hero 6 and an iphone X.

This was a treat. Hearing Bill talk about flying on podcasts replanted the seed in my brain that got me looking into flight school (once again) which then led me to BC helicopters. Hoping to start training soon. Thanks Bill.

I've watched a lot of bill interviews. This is the first time I've seen him so disarmed. It's not that I think he puts up a wall or anything. I think Bill is a sensitive guy that doesn't take shit and he usually has to put up with a bunch of shit in interviews. This whole helicopter setup just brings out the kid in him. It's a nice thing to see.
Wanting to do everything correct, he probably feels the pressure of flying his instructor.
He’s got a lot going on, not to mention an unfamiliar aircraft. most non professional pilots obviously pay a ton for flight time, so it’s safe to say they enjoy it. You can have polar opposites in the cockpit, but once airborne the team work starts.
You should check out his podcast. He's pretty unhinged there.

@@MrJackal43 That is condensation off of him. He looks so uncomfortable the entire time, biting his lip and fidgeting his fingers and the little twitch here and there. If it were from outside it would be on both doors and not just on the right door and you would have seen it earlier.

Tim Craft Holy crap Tim that’s exactly what happened to me. I used to get so frustrated that I would ever so slowly just rock back-and-forth until I was out of control and then my flight instructor would effortlessly bring it back to center. And then, I believe it was my fourth lesson, suddenly I could do it. Then the next lesson it wasn’t that difficult and I didn’t even have to think about it. And just like you I remember thinking well what the hell was the problem?
