Thanks coach! I like getting the perspective from Guy, who's received your coaching and put it to use.
It's interesting to hear that the 80's Swedes focused on block training... it takes away a little of the mysticism surrounding Waldner.

@@ebatt8803 Thanks for sharing that :D The man really is his own thing, what fortune to have worked with him. That must be some feeling, knowing that something as impressive and in control as the Chinese team doesn't really know what to do about you.

Great video - thanks. 😉 I wasn't quite sure what you meant about 'squeezing' when you block - are you saying that you change from a loose grip to a firm grip at the moment of impact?

Thanks for this vid. I am never knew you meet the ball. I took it normal timing try to add side spin to disrupt the spin on the bounce. I playing tomorrow I give it a try.

I take also the aggressive blocking top of my training plan every time,at least before I reach 1600 rating points in Finland 😁

very comprehensive explanation! when I block on the backhand side, the ball always fly out from the left side of the table. I am right-handed. what should I do to improve?

I think I get into the habit of blocking into the player instead of blocking a ball that is difficult for the opponent to reach because of drilling so much :o

This is a great comment you make, my tip is simple…
      Try to avoid blocking drills

@@ebatt8803 Thanks, but some people in the club have to do it if you want to develop players, right? My trainer can do multiball for a fee, but I think the most successful clubs have programs to develop their own staff of trainers. It looks like Samson Dubina in the US does this.

Bad audio really detracts from the presentation.
