- I was so stoked to find these brand new Barbie Dream Besties dolls at Walmart!
There are four dolls in this brand new doll line and I picked up the two that stood out to me, Teresa and Barbie. The other Barbie and Renee look stunning as well but I want to hold off on them for now and maybe down the line I’ll pick them up!
These dolls also only retail for $20 which I think is a super fair price especially considering how well these turned out.
I’ve never considered myself a Barbie collector but after today I might be converted!
These dolls feature some stylized proportions such as larger heads and bigger eyes which is usually uncharacteristic of Barbie but with these dolls still somehow manage to capture that essence of Barbie while still feeling fresh and like something entirely new.

I'm a core doll collector. In most case's I could care less about the overall theme or marketing concept of a particular doll. It's the actual doll that wins me over.
I LOVE these dolls!!! Their charming and so pretty!
Some of the fashion pieces are terrible and the accessories are silly, but the doll's are WONDERFUL!

Im tired of the "gaming" theme too ! Like too many dolls with MGA & Mattel, come with ear headsets with animal ears of some sort...like ok, its been done to death 😂, can we have an extra shirt or a necklace instead?

im actually so excited for these! their heads are so good! and the fashion is surprisingly cute! i'm excited to see what they will do in the future with dream besties (hopefully some cute boy dolls!!!) wish they came with a stand tho haha but we can't have everything i guess haha love the vid! as always hihi

Teresa is a beauty! Her lil dimples is darling...n really favors Cedar Wood fr EAH! Brooklyn is Justine Dancer 2.0, also. LOVE!❤
I'm just like you Elijah, in that, the only time Barbie goes into my cart is when I plan to use the outfit for another doll line, or if it is an exceptional Barbie such as Angel Kent Mermaids. But these Besties are going to be an immediate purchase, been looking for them like a hawk

I have a hypothesis that these doll molds were going to be an EAH reboot. Just look at those faces! IDC how smudged their makeup is, I will get so many of these and turn them into my own "EAH reboot!"
One of our local Walmart had Teresa (which I bought) and Brooklyn. I wanted to see what one of the dolls was like and I was not disappointed. I will likely get 1 or 3 more as finances allow :)

I also collect Monster High only, but these are just too gorgeous! I don' like Barbie's "realistic" approach so the Besties, being more cartoonish just like Monster High, makes them perfect to me.
Even if the outfits & accessories aren't great, as long as the doll & hair are good, its worth it. Even though these arent standard Barbie bodies, im sure other clothes can work. And saran hair is a must ! I plan to at least get 2, maybe the other 2 later. I want Teresa & blonde Barbie for sure. Blonde Barbie accessories are so Barbie core, i have to have them.
Yes totally agree! The base doll has a gorgeous face and nice hair and that’s what will always win me over
Great video. I like them. I would have got these two first myself. Last Barbie Dolls I bought were Barbie looks. #22,24 & 25. I just checked Walmart. They sold out. I only collect Monster High dolls. No more Rainbow high since they changed them.. Don't care for Brats or LOL.
I’m mainly Monster High myself too, but I can def make space for these Barbies! I wanna get into the looks dolls too but one thing at a time lol

Theres a Barbie Extra that came with the moulded leg warmer/shoes & i usually would hate that, but when theyre on doll, & from a distance, they look cute. I have used them.

Yo I like these girls but I can't justify buying them when there's so many Monster High and Rainbow High dolls I want to get. A new line seems too much for me rn but I might still get them. Teresa is currently my fave.

these are so cute! 😍 thank you for showing us the dolls you picked. i’m looking to maybe acquire brooklyn and/or renee but i might wait a bit for a sale ‘cause i’ve been picking up so many monster high dolls lately and my bank account needs some recovery time 😂 as for barbie joints, i believe the bend & snap knees were discontinued a while back so now dolls either have the made to move body with a lot of articulation (extra, signature looks) or have no articulation in the knees/elbows/wrists (fashionistas). i don’t collect a lot of barbies because of the lack of articulation so i may not be 100% correct on this but most of the barbies i have collected are the looks and extra lines with more articulation.
Ahhh it’s so interesting how Barbie does things like articulation! I have seen the mtm bodies and they are kind of ugly, but these dream besties feel like a good balance between good articulation with still clean looking joints
@@Draculijahagreed! the mtm joints are fine if they’re covered with clothing but so many of the looks dolls are sleeveless and have short skirts, and it just makes them look like dissected corpses (and not in a cute way like frankie stein 😂) also correcting my earlier comment after checking my collection - signature looks dolls have mtm joints but the extra dolls have the more clean-looking peg style joints like the dream besties and monster high dolls.

Unfortunately, I think the quality back then Was way better - the legs and arms were a whole other Material. Even the one I bought 2009 is completely different. Thats kinda sad,especially with these Reveal Barbies...
Went to Target today and all they had was Teresa who I wanted but when I saw the Barbie tiny feet in person and how the clash with the rest of her proportions I couldn't. I might get over it but right now seeing those tiny feet with that big round head is too much. It doesn't look bad on video but in person it's a lot.
Can they fit any other doll brand’s shoes? Are their feet the same size as any other doll brands?

select Walmarts have stocked them...Mattel lists Amazon, target, & Walmart as in stock yet none are...so far I've only seen Teresa stocked online at Walmart and sold out immediately

I like their faces but Barbie fashions aren't as fun anymore. Same cheap looking vinyl pieces that appear in G3.
