If you buy this weapon system, do two things: replace the buffer retaining pin with a titanium one ($10-15) and replace the buffer spring with a flat wire spring ($22-$25). Trust me, its worth it.
In store I picked one up at 1100, small smith shop though. Big box shops sell em like cobid times still. Lots of add ons to make this short a or long rang monster! I shoot 500yds with mine because that’s as far back as my propert lays flat. But I do plan on taking my set up to gunny land and getting my 1mile coin with it. It’s the cheapest route to go but still has enough challenge to do rather then doing 1mile with 6.5 as every one else now gets their coin! It’s a bad ass cheap platform for every type of range life!
Buying the AR-10 with the rifle length gas system, depending on the gas port size; it may need to be drilled out to open up, being the muzzle the distance from there is too short not enough gas through the gas tube to operate BCG to lock back or pick up a new round - the problem I was having with an 18” 2A barrel mid-length better.
I have basically the same rifle in burnt bronze. Got it for Christmas a few years ago. At first I was thrilled, later on not so much. Mine would beat the piss out of brass, kick it to about 1:00 and would stovepipe often... Seriously overgassed. I was giving serious consideration to selling it. But on a whim I changed out my gas block to an adjustable one. It's like a completely different gun now. Changing the gas block voided my warranty. But WTH, I have a gun that performs like it should now. Diamondback should think about revamping their gas system or just including an AGB as standard.
Amazing review Elliott, I am importing exactly this model, it is very multi use going from hunting to home defense, Diamondback has good quality products in market, I am very happy and counting days to receive it 🤩. Again congrats with video and hope you can do more with this amazing DB10DB.
I see you are Brazilian. I visited Brazil in 1998. Can you tell me about gun ownership in Brazil? If I were to move to Brazil can I bring the guns I own already to Brazil legally. Chao!
The AR-10 chambered in 7.62x51/308 Winchester. I have encountered some problems with the BCG; my first build was in 6.5 Creedmoor; this did not happen with every factory ammunition, but it happened. I upgraded to JP Enterprise high pressure enhanced BCG, and here is the factory ammunition used in 7.62x51 Sellier & Ballot 147 grains and Winchester M80. There was no problem with S&B, but only Winchester M80 pieced primers; primer material broken off blocked firing pin hole unable to fire next round in chamber. Not everyone may not encounter the same problem, but I wanted my AR-10 to run 100% with ALL FACTORY ammunition. The same problem with 6.5 Creedmoor factory ammunition.
AR10s are not as plug and play as AR15s, but it used to be a lot worse, basically 10 years ago most AR10s on the market were junk. Go messing with BCGs, springs, other stuff and the risk of there being issues is much higher than with an AR15.
One rifle i regret getting rid of. No modifications, shot a bowling pin and had it dancing, placing round after round on it. Going to buy again very soon.
Good work, I'd like to see you do a follow up video on this for us, with your "Can" on. What gas system you used and how well it's shooting for you. Thanks
I have the DB9R 8" and the DB15 upper on anderson lower. I like them both. Really enjoy diamondback firearms, except for the major price jumps on their website. Uppers went from $300 to $500. Im still a fan though.

Of I feel it’s great for 700-800 yards The round can do more but the rifle out the. Ox I think is a bit less They did great. And personally I’m as shooter not yet capable of 1000 yard shots. So don’t let me detour you It’s a great rifle. Needs some personalization for. The owner
Great review. I got the exact same rifle. I put the enhanced rubber butt pad on it. With the butt pad and the muzzle brake I swear it shots like a 22. Also love the CMC trigger so much I put one on my Diamondback AR-15.
Great video... Very informative. If you can, provide better lighting in future videos. The room you were in was a bit dark and some of the features you pointed out could not be seen. Overall, I enjoyed and appreciate your informative video!
Question Elliot: There is a 6.5 Grendel Diamondback AR @ $775ish for sale. Would you recommend it at that price if I already have a 9mm and 5.56 Diamondback? I was looking for something with better stopping power and range. What would you do?
I think I paid around 700 for my DB Grendel in 2018. I think is not a bad deal. A PSA Grendel would run you around the same and I think DB can be better then PSA.
Currently looking for a good hog hunting rifle and stubbled across this review. This might be what I go for now. I really like the features it has on top of the price point.
@@TonySnow-Frm_D.C.556 or 223 is probably better for self defense as the rifles are usually much lighter and have much less recoil if you need to fire multiple rounds
Has anyone ever found the easiest way to remove the sticker below the trigger guard? Would it be easier to heat it with a hair dryer to loosen the tacky glue to it? Curious before I make a mess of it lmao
Damn, I bought mine about seven months ago and it didn’t come with that trigger or muzzle brake. As for the QD point on the front rail, it was pretty easy to add an mlok qd point (think it cost $25). This is my first AR10, and I was really surprised by the lack of felt recoil. I may upgrade the muzzle brake at some point, but so far, I haven’t felt the need. The only thing I feel like I need to upgrade is the charging handle. Otherwise, I think it’s a great rifle. The laser etching on the BCG and the fluted barrel are nice touches. I don’t know if yours has that sticker below the trigger guard, but I’d recommend not trying to remove it. It’s damn near impossible to remove the whole thing 😂
@@ElliottDelp haha, kind of unusual for young men like you to be up this early on a Saturday. Unless you just haven’t gone to sleep yet 😂 Enjoyed the video. Keep ‘em coming!
Right now, a Ballistic Advantage LR 308 rifle with a 4150 CMV barrel (which is superior to 416 SS and 416r) for less than what the guy in this video paid for his DB 10. Ballistic Advantage will guarantee the accuracy potential of their barrels to be sub MOA capable.

Ok. Answered my question about 7.62 ammo in what appears to be a 308 Win only chamber. I once fired a 7.62 German surplus round in my Kimber 308 BA rifle and the case got stuck...

This reminds me of the old people in South Africa. Think they know everything when one goes shooting. The sport side of shooting is very toxic here.

Ok. Answered my question about 7.62 ammo in what appears to be a 308 Win only chamber. I once fired a 7.62 German surplus round in my Kimber 308 BA rifle and the case got stuck...
If a rifle is chambered in .308 then it can also shoot 7.62x51 (NATO). It can however be 7.62 NATO only because .308 is a little hotter.
