Mr. GK - doubt about the stars. You said the stars that we are seeing today are not live stars. If we are seeing the old stars which emitted light so many light years ago, then how are we seeing the same stars every day? I mean the same constellation is there for millions of years. So how is that possible. One day those stars should disappear right? I am confused with this one

Habitable zone change எதுவும் நம் கையில் இல்லை. தண்ணீர் உற்பத்தி நம்மிடம் இல்லை. இருக்கும் தண்ணீர் எவ்வளவு நாள் என்பதும் நம்மிடம் இல்லை. எவ்வளவு தண்ணீரை நம்மால் சேமிக்க முடியும். அழிவு என்பது நிச்சயம் மனித முயற்சியால் ம்ம்ம் ஒரு 50 அல்லது 100 வருடங்கள் வேண்டுமானால் தள்ளி போடலாம். நம் உலகின் உயிரினங்கள் நம் பூமியில் வாழும் சூழலில் மட்டுமே உயிர் வாழும் மற்றைய கிரகத்தில் வாழ முடியாது என்று தோன்றுகிறது. நம்முடைய ஆசைக்கு வேண்டுமானால் வேறு கிரகத்தை போய் பார்த்து விட்டு வரலாம். அந்த சூழலுக்கு ஏற்ப வாழ நம் உயிரினங்கள் மாற்றம் அடைய மிக மிக நீண்ட காலம் ஆகும். அதற்குள் என்ன வேண்டுமானாலும் நடக்கலாம் நடக்கும். நாம் குழந்தை ஒரு இடத்தில் இருக்கும் போது நானும் இருக்கிறேன் என்று நம் கவனத்தை ஈர்க்க அழுகுமே அந்த மாதிரி இந்த விஞ்ஞானிகள் தாமும் எதையாவது சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். இது ஒரு விஞ்ஞான ஆவல் இதனால் தான் வளர்ச்சியே. இயற்கையை மீறி எந்த உயிரினமும் எதையும் செய்து விட முடியாது. நம் செயல்கள் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் ஆவல்கள் அனைத்தும் இயற்கைக்கு உட்பட்டது தான். நம் பிரபஞ்ச அழிவும். சூப்பர் நோவா வெடிக்கிறது. அப்போ அருகில் உள்ள கிரகமே அழியும் கருந்துளை உள்ளே இழுக்கும் அப்போதும் அழிவு தான். விண்கல் மோதும் அப்போதும் அழிவு தான் இதற்கெல்லாமா மனித உயிரினத்தை காரணம் சொல்வது. வெள்ளி கிரகத்தில் தண்ணீர் வற்றி போனதற்கு அங்கு இருந்த உயிரினம் தான் காரணமா. நம்முடைய பூமி பனியால் மூடியது மனித உயிரினம்தான் காரனமா அல்லது அந்த பனி உருகியது நம்மால் தானா. எதுவும் யாரிடமும் இல்லை. எவ்வளவு கோடி கேலக்ஸி எவ்வளவு கோடி கிரகங்கள் யாருக்கு தெரியும் எவ்வளவு உயிரினங்கள். இதில் எத்தனை நட்சத்திரங்கள் அழிகிறது எத்தனை நட்சத்திரங்கள் புதிதாக உருவாகிறது அதெற்கெல்லாம் உயிரினங்கள் தான் காரணமா. எல்லாம் இயற்கை நியதிப்படி தான் நடக்கிறது. இப்போ ஆப்பிரிக்கா வனத்தில் மழைவருவதும் பொய்த்து போவதும் நாம் தான் காரணமா. அல்லது சகாரா பாலைவனமானது நம்மால் தானா. அல்லது கண்டங்கள் பிரிந்தது உயிரினத்தின் செயலா. எதுவும் யாரிடமும் இல்லை. நீங்க சொன்ன துருவங்கள் இடமாறவது நம்மால் தானா. அதது அப்படியே போகும்.. இவை அனைத்தும் எனது கருத்து மட்டுமே. நீங்க ஏதாவது கூற நினைத்தால் சொல்லுங்க.
அதேமாதிரி ஒரு புள்ளியில் இருந்து இவ்வளவு பெரிய அண்டங்கள் தோன்றியிருக்க முடியாது. வேண்டுமானால் இவையனைத்தும் ஒரே புள்ளியில் மிக அடர்த்தியான பெரிய புள்ளியில் இருந்து வெடித்து தான் சிதறி இருக்க வேண்டும்.

Not exactly , those stars far away from earth in light years. For example betelgeuse is 642.5 light years far away from earth. researchers found betelgeuse is dying. if we see the supernova of betelgeuse right now that means it happened 642.5 years ago.its the time supernova's light takes to reach earth.
Then how we are seeing the planets in the sky? Even that we are seeing in light years. Sometimes NASA tells that we can see the planet on this day how is that possible?? It's just a doubt.

It is interesting to know that waves are due to combined gravitational pull of Sun and Moon is new information for me, now more waves make more sense. I used to wonder the size of the moon does not increase but only the portion that is visible is increasing, then why more waves? Thanks for sharing.
