These two young doctors gives me hope that medicine is slowly moving in the right direction. Lifestyle does matter!!! As someone who isndealing with an illness, I learned the hard way that my choices and state of mind and emotions were devastating my health. All medical schools need to accept this and incorporate it into their curriculum. We the patients demand it! And have to also say how lovely and human these two people are. When dealing with patients remember we are human first. Too many doctors are all brain and not enough heart and this must also change. Keep it up.
As a vegetarian i LOVED making an onion, cheese and oat layered dish, now as a vegan i just replace the cheese and its still so yummy. We often forget the versatility of oats.
Thank you both. This was an absolutely inspirational and fascinating podcast. Dr Rabia has answered so many questions and pulled so many loose ends together in the lifestyle changes I have made. I will be signing up to Dr. Rupi's cookery course and look forward to further beneficial dietary benefits.
Hello, great video and a fascinating chat. For folks like me who have a mushroom intolerance, I usually substitute chicken in a recipe. And it usually works. But as I am trying to reduce the amount of meat I eat generally, if you could you suggest a plant based alternative, I would be most grateful. Many Thanks.
KernowekScouser i too have an intolerance to mushrooms and a family member i live with is allergic, so i’m always looking into trying something new/plant based as well! maybe something like eggplant, zucchini or young jackfruit (if available) for a “meaty” plant based alternative, or even a plant based meat alternative? depending on which country you live in they’re fast becoming more widely available!
@@rufa2489 Hey thanks for the reply. I'm experimenting with Aubergine (eggplant) and Courgettes (zucchini) all the time. Thin(ish)ly sliced, quartered and fried Aubergine does kind of work as a replacement in some recipes, but I have found if you leave the pieces to stew they tend to turn to floppy mush. Not tried Jackfruit, I've just checked and it is available nearby, so I will give that a go too. Thanks :)
KernowekScouser i agree! aubergine/eggplant is very recipe dependant and doesn’t work with everything (especially if the skin gets mushy it gets hard to eat, in my opinion)! with the jackfruit, make sure you get young green jackfruit in brine/water and not in syrup if you’re using it to experiment for a savoury recipe! it is basically flavourless and takes on the flavours you use- it’s something great to marinate/stew because of that and the texture has a stringy, meaty texture! i’ve only tried a handful of times in recipes, but i hope it is something new that works for you!!

I had never thought of using oats in a savoury dish
I didn't hear a word. I was staring at the chef
Thank you for your videos, I was wondering why you didn’t put more videos
Trying to do it every week now :))

Now this is shocking! Savory oats? Love the idea and can't wait to try it.
Hope you enjoy!

great suggestions!
Tofu, tempeh, beans or peas, chickpeas
I don't want to use oil. Will this be be Ok if I just omit the olive oil?
I think it could still work with a little more liquid
I put oats in my stew
HI
Sorry guys talking about guts and bottoms while watching someone cook a nice recipe is NOT a successful combo! Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua.
