This really explains why people who are "alcohol dependent" get angry and violent when they can't have their drink - they miss the dopamine and serotonin that they are addicted to! Thank you Jessie for this very informative explanation.
Absolutely! Our brain chemicals play such a powerful role in our emotions, and I’m thrilled this made sense to you. Thank you for watching and learning with me!
I've known quite a few people who are alcohol dependent. I've never known any of them, apart from maybe one or two with underlying mental health issues, get really angry when 'they can't have their drink', let alone violent. They can get irritable and difficult, as their body builds the craving they can't prevent or stop, but violent? No, can't think of any instances. Alcoholism is an illness, it affects people who might otherwise drink the same as everyone else but, because of their illness, cannot cope with alcohol and find themselves needing more, all the time. Like most people I don't suffer from it and have made the decision years ago to cut drinking from a regular social thing right down to almost nil. This was very easy for me as it would be for most people, and I did it for the very well-known reasons recycled in this video. But it is extremely difficult for people with a dependency-forming illness and in some cases they can't do it and it will kill them. Silly generalisations like yours do not help with the understanding of this illness.
@ I realize that we all have different experiences and my view is based on what I personally experienced with the people in my life who were alcohol addicted. Not “silly” but sad.
I am 45 and to be honest I quit exactly 30 days ago, before these 30 days I used to be a heavy super heavy drinker, and what has helped was to confront my ignorance over this topic, for real I do not remember being like a single day without drinking, or smoking cigarettes or using drugs for almost at least 15 years continuously 😖…. However at least in my case, having focus on changing habits, starting with meditation as 1st thing in my mornings at 5am, quitting those places and “friends” that I used to go or be with, changed my nutrition, even what I consumed on social media plus a deep sense of respect, humbleness and willingness to appreciate my life a gift, have given me the power of believing that I can really enjoy life without being intoxicated.!!! I know it’s early to say that I am not dependent however the journey commences with the 1st step which is what I have done this 1st month !!! Thanks for the inspiration, love Science and I am so thankful for your work and content, keep it up and blessings, I don’t know you, but you must know that you are helping me tons along the said journey, thank you.!!! 🎉
You are a winner. I walked through this path you just started on in July 2016. I added regular exercising to it. The pain after exercise takes my mind away from alcohol and cigarettes. Good luck, mate. You can do it.

I quit alcohol 6 weeks ago and read This Naked Mind and Alcohol Explained. Great timing of this episode. Hopefully, it will inspire people to quit drinking.
Alcohol Explained changed my life but Alcohol Explained 2 is surprisingly even better and I've reread it (well, audiobooked) tons of times to strengthen my sobriety.
Thank you for this information. I appreciate the way you explain things in a way that is easy to understand. I have recently become aware of some of these truths about what alcohol does to the body and brain. As a consequence, I quit drinking completely. January 20th marked one year of sobriety. I feel great!
I really hope this will get into the classrooms - it might not stop young people from experimenting with alcohol but at least it brings some awareness of what is going on, how to drink a bit better and hopefully shorten the period of drinking significantly - and that goes for all ages. Super interesting, so fascinating, thanks for a good episode!
Jessie, I just wanted to say thank you for putting out this valuable information. There is so much confusion out there on health and diet. It can be overwhelming and restrictive. Your hacks are simple and actionable. They are gentle guidance to start real lifestyle changes. The savory breakfast, vinegar before high carb meals and veggies first is so easy. I see other health experts now saying the same thing. Why? Because the science is there. I’m maybe 15 lbs overweight, and likely somewhat insulin resistant. I just got my insurance company to approve a Cgm with help from an endocrinologist. I’m not going to obsess over using it, but the data will help me understand my body and my microbiome. Thanks again for everything you’re doing….progress, not perfection is my 2025 resolution!
Thank you very much for this video. I have been ambivalent about alcohol for a while, don't drink much but enjoy a glass of wine most nights with my evening meal. As a woman of 61, I found that when I reached perimenopause alcohol didn't do me any favours- I think it was my body's way of saying 'stop!'. After seeing this, and also reading a study saying that ANY amount of alcohol increases your chance of breast cancer, which you touched on, I think I'll stop altogether. And decent wine is expensive now too, so the money can go towards a facial instead! Thank you again for presenting the latest scientific reasearch in a consise manner. 😊
Thank you so much. I have been following you ever since I discovered you, and I have implemented all your advice on T2D. You have no idea how much you have helped. Thank you again so much.❤
Can you make a video on acid reflux, gerd, bloating, gas and excessive burping, which is something my dad struggles with, which I'm sure a lot of other people do as well. Btw I absolutely adore your videos and find them incredibly informative and entertaining🤗❤️
Alcohol is one of the last social taboos that needs to be challenged. The addiction and social conventions/norms will keep alcohol consumption high. Despite personally convincing some people to give up drinking, the demand in our society is way too high. The social damage, vehicle accidents, domestic violence and just violence caused by alcohol is also really bad.
the reason it's legal is because judges and law enforcement want to get down on the weekend. our judicial system wants to have a little fun too you know : )
people use it because it's one of the only legal, consciousness-changing substances, and a living organism (animals too) has a natural innate drive to seek altered states of consciousness. Since psilo-mushrooms, cannabis, peyote/cactus, iboga, ayahuasca/,DMT, amanita, even potentially kratom and kava, are largely prohibited and can end you up in jail, society is left with neurotoxic alcohol to fulfil it's natural drive. Sad. Oh, and a pack of cigs at the same time. Very sad indeed.
Superb podcast. More people should know this. Just a note to say that the more commonly used term acetaldehyde is 5 syllables and easier to say than the 6 syllable acetylaldehyde. Best regards From a great admirer and Nutritional Biochemist for 45 years.
Yes, thank you so much! It warms my heart to hear that the explanations and reasoning click with you. There’s more to come, and I’m excited to keep sharing!
I SO Agree, Girl! I am 59 and I don't really drink Anymore and I LOVE Wine but I have just Lost my enjoyment of it. I also used to go out and have a Cocktail but it makes me feel Awful and I can't stand How I feel after I have a drink..I am DONE!!!
Well, I'm 57 and am almost exactly in the same boat as you. I also love wine, have a wonderful collection of mostly Australian reds, and until recently (8 months ago), would often have a glass or two with dinner, most nights. Now, I would have less than 1 drink per fortnight as more often than not, even a single drink leaves me feeling terrible the next morning. Bit sad but simultaneously, good news as like you, I've also lost my enjoyment of it. Probably better for us in the long run!
@@deldridg good to hear - I hope I can get to point I can give it up - it is something I like and also just a habit. I'm 73 and from what GG shared, I know it is time to give it up
Hello Jessie! From an old alcoolic at the Beaujolais Party :"Un verre de vin, deux verres d'Évian !" And you are right as usual :"Wine and Cheese (even with their red wine and ham and pork spicy chorizo Spanish drinkers add ew, goat milks chesses (Ca+ molécules against bloody processed ones), they sipp no binch drinking... But you are right again :"Sans alcool, la fête est plus folle ! Really nice to remember EVERYTHING you did at the party !" From a retired French Navy Senior Petty Officer in an almost Dry county Boujou ensoleillé carolinien du Nord des USA donc ! Belle année aussi ! Love your books & vidéos...
This is so good! I stopped drinking because I felt better but didn't know why. I have been considering taking up wine again because it was recommended.... but now I know not to. I love how much you geek out on the science! It really drives home the point! 10/10. I recommend your channel to all my clients because all this compliments my work as a breathwork/polyvagal/mindfulness (working with anxiety) coucelor so well.
Great job! I am 60, and have enjoyed alcohol since I was 18. Sometimes too much, leading to poor choices and hangovers. I too wonder why the negative health effects are minimized. Probably money$$$. Because it makes us feel good at first, it is hard to give up. I am considering greatly reducing my alcohol intake. I want to remain healthy, and whole as I age. Question? Will quitting alcohol be beneficial at any age? I feel bad about my past partying years!
Thank you Jessie for this really open and undogmatic perspective on dealing with alcohol. I hope that people who pay too much attention to alcohol in their lives will watch this video. You speak so excitingly and free of morals and prohibitions that it is easy to follow you and your content. Thank you for your work!
Thanks for the information. I've been using your hacks a while now and doing pretty well, when I stick to them. I've switched to decaf coffee and decaf teas when I use them and am doing the savory breakfasts, veggie starters and vinegar before a meal regularly. Really seems to be gathering speed. ;)
I never had a problem with alcohol dependence. The older I get, the more I really feel the effects of it. Wine always gave me a headache, so I didn’t drink much of it. If I have even 1-2 drinks, my body totally reacts as if to say….” Alright fool, this is going to cost you while I clean this up”. I sleep worse and I’m tired and sick the next day. I feel like crap and feel depressed. I basically lose the next day. To me, this is an energy equation. It depletes mine. It’s not worth it to me. Occasionally I’ll have a non alcoholic beer with a taco. I’m not sure if that is healthier, but I keep my sleep and my energy without any toxic feelings. Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn is pretty good, others are not. My goals are simple. I want to feel good!
This doesn’t make sense to me. If the liver is busy with the alcohol and has no resources to process blood sugars then we should see a higher spike not a reduced one, right? What am I missing? Also, how does your science coexist with cardiovascular studies? We’re being told moderate red wine consumption is good for the heart.
red wine might have "positive" ingredients but those are surpassed with the negatives of alocohol the wine comes with, so actually it should mean wine with no is good for your heart, a bit like saying alcohol beverages are good for you because they contain water
I am having the same question as you @mosca-tse-tse. Maybe there is some missing piece of information or it is explained already in the video and we missed that. I am totally ignorant on this field. What I know is that blood sugar is regulated by insulin produced by pancreas, and by converting glucose to glycogen by the liver. So there are like 2 guys working on this. If one of the two stops, I should expect higher glucose. 🤔
Yeah maybe I missed it but she never really followed through on the premise of her video which was about the reduced glucose spike of drinking wine with pizza. She just started talking about how alcohol is bad for you which everyone already knows.
This is just visually a treat to watch. Love the design. I just wonder how much lower the mic is irl since Jessie is always trying so hard to avoid it haha
I wish I could buy one bottle of anti-spike to see if it agrees with me. I didn't like that you have to commit to two bottles and one refill before you can cancel your auto renewal. I don't like auto renewals either.
Thank you for this detailed explanation. This is the best one I've heard so far, that I hope will give me the conviction to quit or at least cut waaaay back. This should be shared in ASAP programs across the country. It also should be shared in school health class too.
I’ve wondered the same thing you mentioned at the end. It also has waaaay higher rates of hurting other and not just yourselves of any other substance out there.
Such a great episode! Thank you! I’ve been doing Dry January and I’ve been feeling great, and now this has me feeling like I should just keep going. Protect the brain and the breasts at all costs! I wonder if there are studies that show the effects of having a glass of wine maybe once or twice a month? I like to have one glass on every second Saturday night (because it’s date night and we go out for dinner). Maybe I can try that De-alcoholized wine…so I have the taste but none of the ethanol? I’m really excited to start taking better care of my body, thank you for making it easy to get the latest info!
I totally get that alcohol consumption is bad and people who can’t do without a drink clearly have a problem. I drink once a year over the Christmas period and sparingly over new year beyond that nothing. Our grand parents and their parents drank a glass of strong liquor and they lived past 100years old. Everything in moderation and if people cannot handle a drink or are dependent on it then it’s an issue. I know so many tee totals who have several health issues and people who drink the occasional class of wine have no health issues.
well just because some are healthy despite consuming alcohol doesnt mean alocol isn't unhealthy, the body is complicated and health is a result of many things, but one wont be healthier by consuming alcohol everything else being the same
This is so super interesting, I always enjoy the way you deliver all this valuable info and how you glow talking about what you yourself love, and I appreciate the effort given to the visual part of your content sooo muuuuchhh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your stylist ❤❤❤
All of these videos that keep popping up about the negative effects of alcohol are leading me to the end of my drinking days. I'm glad that I've been exercising a LOT so hopefully haven't done too much damage to my body.
I've been following you ACV and eaating sprouts /nuts before coffee hacks and its pretty great!!! THank you Doc!! Good to see you back!!! looking great!!!
There's a persistent level of advertisements for Anti-Spike in this episode, almost as bad as when you watch RUclips without ads! I'd order it if the only option wasn't a monthly subscription - I didn't go through it as fast as they send it to you, and it's incredibly difficult to cancel or adjust the delivery date of the supplements.
Lol, actually, the AntiSpike subscription really helped me. I took it every day, and over a few months, I went from having type 2 diabetes to normal glucose levels and my doctors was SHOCKED 😄 I’m not sure I would’ve been as consistent without the subscription keeping me on track. Guess it’s different for everyone, right? 😅
I agree. This is the only part that makes Glucose Goddess a little bit untrustworthy to me. That at the end of the day you can eat whatever as long as you take the pill..yeah...no! I loved the book and its message but this Anti-Spike business really defers me from trusting this woman. At the end of the day it is all about money, not health and this somehow strikes me.
Respectfully, no one is forcing anyone to buy anything. I appreciate her taking time to read studies and share scientific facts in an easy to understand format. I will tolerate the commercials just as I tolerate commercials on radio and apps like Pandora and Spotify. She deserves to earn a living just like anyone else.
@@margaretwuellner3761 There's no forcing except me being forced to see the ads embedded amongst all the info. I unfollowed, so i don't have to bother watching anymore :)
On the example of "pasta / wine ", I would think if the liver was not able to manage the glucose level due to the wine, the spike from the pasta would last longer. Seems like it would have the opposite effect. Also, you might want to read "The Red Wine Diet", by Dr. Roger Corder and the study of the "French Paradox".
Thank you for coming back with always helpful and interesting information for us to understand ourselves more ❤ I hope people are more aware of how alcohol affects their body
From personal experience, any sugary mixed drinks tend to give more of a hangover ,or having sweet deserts with say wine ,beer,etc...I find staying clear of sugars, eating prior and drink water whilst consuming alcohol . Also, just don't drink a lot ,and know your limits. Sugars eaten whilst drinking will hit you in the night and interrupt your sleep because your liver will process it and it hits your blood stream. This is great info that you provided. You're like this angel from Heaven speaking to us.
Very informative! I was surprised that you didn’t discuss how alcohol affects your glucose levels. Maybe that information is in another video? I was diagnosed with Reactive hypoglycemia several years ago and gave up alcohol because it made it worse. Was hoping for more information that might explain that, but perhaps it’s simply liver overload? Regardless I am really glad that I gave it up!
Can it be you missed an interesting link? If an end product of the ethanol breakdown is acetic acid, isn’t that also impacting glucose levels (see: vinegar)? Thoughts?
Every week, some health ‘expert’ tells us something different from the one before and I’m sick of it. All it achieves is to make people paranoid about every sodding item of food/drink they consume and take the whole enjoyment out of it. What my dad said is still the best advice: “everything in moderation” and he lived ‘til 92. I took his advice and am nearly 70, a healthy weight, take NO meds and in perfect health. Ta dah!!!
@@EdelweisSusie I agree with you. I used to listen to the medical people and big pharma. Until I started trying her hacks I had very little success with my diabetes type 2. I have not bought anything from her all I've used are the hacks My A1C has dropped to 7.2 from 13.4. ...and yes, everything in moderation is correct. I attribute my drop in A1C to my managing the spike. Prior to her, mainstream medical doctors only pushed more and more medication at my type 2. I even got to the point where I was taking, insulin and Metformin at a high dosage after dropping glipizide. These didn't help me much. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them I'm taking about me. Today I take nothing. Let me repeat, nothing. Modified Diet and Exercise are what's working for me plus the hacks. I eat my food in a certain order, drink a little vinegar before and I eat just so much carbs. I watch for hidden carbs. I read labels, and that's where I am. I attribute this to her as she's the only one who told me about insulin resistance and all roads leading off. I now wear a CGM like she does so I always know where I am with my sugar. The CGM makes it easier. I buy it deeply discounted and only pay $75 a month. It's a game changer. I'm more energetic and have a more positive outlook. Again I have bought nothing just followed the hacks in her other videos. I'm not saying my diabetes is cured it's just more controlled.

You might be safe, but about 82000 people are dying every day due to inflammatory diseases, and alcohol is one culprit. Eighty two thousand people per day. And people are profiting off of selling highly processed food and alcohol that lead to so many unnecessary deaths. That is the problem That’s half of all deaths, without even mentioning the deaths from cancer. 😢
@@brigmain The overwhelming percentage of these "inflammatory disease" deaths...are not due to alcohol- induced liver failures...THEY'RE DUE TO THE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS THAT EAT THE POISONS FROM OUR "PROCESSED FOODS". These are the DOMINANT culprits! It starts w/poor soil, bc large land growers refuse to allow the land to fallow-out every 7th year. Next the pesticides. Next the GMO SEEDS PLANTED. Next, the processing: removing much of the little (life) remaining. This includes high heat in oils and often hexane. It goes on and on...THIS is the main culprit, affecting so, so many MORE ppl!...This is what RFK will hopefully change
Like my dad who lived to be 97 years young, I drink a glass of red wine daily! It pears so well with wholesome food and is relaxing, not to mention the benefits it contains. Everything is good in moderation, live your life to the fullest!! ❤
I'd like to believe in the Moderation modality and I love to drink but the data does not support that . Glad your Dad lived to 97 but had nothing to do with a "Positive effect "of alcohol . It's impossible to ignore the data . I hate the Idea of stopping my glass of red but the mounting data reflects that there is no safe amount of alcohol .
I am not a heavy drinker but stopped alcohol for 60 days now and I have lost 7kg, having the best sleep ever, my resting heart rate is 10 beats lower(15% lower), eyes whiter and brighter, blood pressure lower, mental clarity and overall I am a lot more positive.
Lots of negative comments on here. Yes, maybe it's a bit over the top regarding just drinking occasionally, but I have recently (Aug 2024) given up alcohol after drinking almost every day for a very long time. My blood pressure has reduced - my quality of sleep has improved - a lot. If you're a regular drinker, I recommend that you try to give up for a few weeks to experience the benefits!
Great episode...nice way to start the new season...one question...what do you think about using NAC before ...if you are going to have a drink? thank you
In Canada there is a proposal and a study was actually implemented in Yukon, but the lobby took it down. So to answer your question with my limited understanding of this subject, I believe the lobby is the reason why this information is not reaching people in scale. Thank you for another great video!
I've alway said that one has to consume fermented foods every day. I do, honest. I make my own saurkraut, fermented crock pickles, rutabega, home brew beer and more. I eat kimchi and fermented onions as well. I inculde beer that I've brewed in that list. I don't drink it every day but I do. I never drink it fast. I never get hangovers because I do not drink that much or that fast. I often start a beer on one day and finish it the next. Beer stabilizes my blood glucose. My last A1c was 5.3. Honest! I get the exercize thing. I run ultra marathons. One of the best fuels for those is beer. I know a guy who has run 142 100 mile races usig only pizza and beer for fuel. I've done a few 100 milers and while I don't drink beer only, it is a nice change from the typical running hydration options. BTW I never drink any spirtis or distilled OH (alcohol). Those are death. So fermented foods and exercise every day. In my current view, from best to least best, saurkraut, crock fermented beets, rutabaga, crock pickles, kimchi, kombucha, vinegar, olives, real beer (not mass produced crap), yougurt, kefir, wine, crazy fermented cheese and the nasty looking rinds, old food left out that most might think has gone bad. Those are the things I must get every day, that and at least 7+ miles of running, outside on the trails. Not on a treadmill but out in the weather, even in the cold temps below zero, and on trails, off of the pavement. This does wonders for my BG control and keeps me more happy than I'd be if I could not do any of that.
Vitamin manufacturers have really up the prices of raw materials. What about all the lecturers she gives us for free? Recipes too. Figure that into your costs.
Hello I really enjoy your videos I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in August of 2023 when I went back to the doctor in December my A1C was down to 6.1 it was a 6.7 before I watched your videos about clothing your carbs and this has really helped me I also dropped down from 188 to 163😊. It has been difficult for me but then this last month as I went back to eating sugar like I was before but still haven't gained the weight back so I'm still going to keep trying to reach my goal of 150. I do have a question, can activated charcoal help release the toxins in your body after you drink alcohol?
Great video Jessie. To answer your questions at the end about why we are not treating alcohol the same way as tobacco, putting higher taxes etc. 1. Freedom of choice. People want to drink alcohol and enjoy it. Something your video doesn't go into is the social benefits of alcohol. People are more relaxed, find it easier to talk and socialise. It breaks down communications barriers. That's why it's such a big part of out culture. I'm British and people really suffered during the pandemic for many reasons - one of those was loosing access to pubs, where they would normally meet to socialise. Also look what happend in prohibition. If you ban alcohol people will just turn to underground/black market sources. People want to drink and they enjoy it - otherwise they wouldn't do it! It's great to inform people about the side effects of alcohol, which you have done splendidly in this video, but at the end of the day people should be able to make their own (informed) choices.
My problem with antispike is 1. Price 2. You have to take it before meal which I ALWAYS forget. We need something that can be take with food or immediately after food
Drink apple rider vinegar with water before a meal, she does talk about this in her earlier videos before she started to market this product. It works... and you can take it with you in a small glass bottle whe going out.
Very interesting, although I don't drink alcohol at all (only special occasions) I can tell that this information is really useful 🧠 Pd: I love the way you move throughout the whole video, really fluid 👌🏻
What a perplexing ending. You outline all those shockingly detrimental effects. Then, you gleefully suggest ways to potentially attenuate its effects. If only half of the negative effects of alcohol consumption were only half true... Wow, if informed, you proceed. You deserve your outcome.
Thanks for this info. I was thinking of starting to drink red wine with dinner as a health measure. Because of your talk I am leaning toward not drinking wine with dinner.
Starch is converted into sugar in n the mouth and in the small intestine. It converts ultimately into glucose which enters the bloodstream. This process appears to happen without any regulation and without the liver getting involved. So if alcohol reduces glucose spikes there must be something else going on. The explanation given is that the liver is overwhelmed processing alcohol which somehow reduces the spike. I’m not really suggesting that ms glucose goddess is wrong but there must be more detail to this explanation.
This info is not entirely new and unsurprising. But still good to know. I don't drink during the week and not every weekend. I love wine and will never stop drinking it 😊

The social damage, vehicle accidents, domestic violence and just violence caused by alcohol is also really bad.
the reason it's legal is because judges and law enforcement want to get down on the weekend. our judicial system wants to have a little fun too you know : )
It’s so funny cause almost every illegal drug is a better alternative than alcohol lol, and more fun too with less hangover
people use it because it's one of the only legal, consciousness-changing substances, and a living organism (animals too) has a natural innate drive to seek altered states of consciousness.
The the States introduced Prohibition......crime went up 60%
Superb podcast. More people should know this. Just a note to say that the more commonly used term acetaldehyde is 5 syllables and easier to say than the 6 syllable acetylaldehyde. Best regards From a great admirer and Nutritional Biochemist for 45 years.
I could listen to you all day. The way you explain things and the reasonings behind them is addictive and I am benefiting from them.
Thank you.
Yes, thank you so much! It warms my heart to hear that the explanations and reasoning click with you. There’s more to come, and I’m excited to keep sharing!
So, you are addicted. Admit it. Still, I doubt it is unhealthy as alcohol! 😉
I'm 73 and from what GG shared, I know it is time to give it up
Same!
Easier said than done, but good luck! Im working on it as well, but I’m still struggling to TOTALLY quit. It’s a BEEOTCH!!!
Booze is poison. No lie. The worst substance.
I feel bad about my past partying years!
of course it is, its always good to stop it, just be careful of cold turkeys, might want to talk to your doctor before
Would love to know more about the process of alcohol production inside our bodies from fermentation of excessive sugar consumption.
Wow!!! This was so eye opening! I just lost a friend to liver failure from alcohol and this really explains it! Thank you.
Have you ever done an episode on sugar, alcohols as a substitute for sugar in candy and baked goods?
That would be interesting.
I've watched and read tons of quit lit/vids over the past 7 years and THIS is everything put so clearly and concisely! What a ⭐❤❤❤
Thank you Jessie for this really open and undogmatic perspective on dealing with alcohol.
Doesn’t make sense
Just adore your channel, Jessie. Fabulous. Loved seeing this new episode AND the new intro!
This is just visually a treat to watch. Love the design. I just wonder how much lower the mic is irl since Jessie is always trying so hard to avoid it haha
Happy you are back! This is a touchy topic and I’m glad you tackled it.
Yes, I’m really glad to be back, too! It can be a tough subject, but understanding it can make a world of difference. Thank you for the support!
Sooo happy you're back!

Pentru reducerea oscilațiilor concentrațiilor de glucoză (anti-spike): extract de frunză de dud și extract din lămâie
I wish I could buy one bottle of anti-spike to see if it agrees with me. I didn't like that you have to commit to two bottles and one refill before you can cancel your auto renewal. I don't like auto renewals either.
This is how grifters operate.
I don't go for her whole "bit".
Love how you teach and explain things. Great job! Blessings, Tom
Absolutely love it, Tom! Thank you for the kind words. I’m so happy the explanations make things clearer. More fun content is on the way!
Having trouble stopping drinking? Try the keto diet. Start both at the same time. Worked for me.
I like keto, carbs and wine isn’t ideal, I prefer red meat with red wine and white wine with fish
I know so many tee totals who have several health issues and people who drink the occasional class of wine have no health issues.
well just because some are healthy despite consuming alcohol doesnt mean alocol isn't unhealthy, the body is complicated and health is a result of many things, but one wont be healthier by consuming alcohol everything else being the same
@@lsoldeMaduschenIt's unhealthy but literally everything can be labeled as unhealthy is certain amounts. Moderation is key.
This is so super interesting, I always enjoy the way you deliver all this valuable info and how you glow talking about what you yourself love, and I appreciate the effort given to the visual part of your content sooo muuuuchhh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your stylist ❤❤❤
Excellent episode as usual. Great information, thank you 🙏🏽
This is such a valuable information, thanks for explaining so clearly! I look forward to see more content!
Money saving tip: all vinegar is chemically the same, consuming white vinegar is exactly the same as ACV, so save some money.
AGREE ....
Great video Jessie, thank you for the advice and anti-spike formula
On the example of "pasta / wine ", I would think if the liver was not able to manage the glucose level due to the wine, the spike from the pasta would last longer. Seems like it would have the opposite effect. Also, you might want to read "The Red Wine Diet", by Dr. Roger Corder and the study of the "French Paradox".
Thank you for coming back with always helpful and interesting information for us to understand ourselves more ❤
I hope people are more aware of how alcohol affects their body
I hope Jessie digs in about carnivore diet/animal based diet. Curious how body/brain reacts to that
Hi does drinking water with wine dilute the effects of alcohol?
From personal experience, any sugary mixed drinks tend to give more of a hangover ,or having sweet deserts with say wine ,beer,etc...I find staying clear of sugars, eating prior and drink water whilst consuming alcohol . Also, just don't drink a lot ,and know your limits.
Sugars eaten whilst drinking will hit you in the night and interrupt your sleep because your liver will process it and it hits your blood stream.
This is great info that you provided. You're like this angel from Heaven speaking to us.
I love having a glass of wine or two. It really enhances great food and conversation. Will not be giving it up. 🍷
Btw, love your sense of style.
Thoughts?
Absolutely GREAT to see you back! Excellent presentation of the honest facts! Thank you :-) !
Agreed. "Science"...so called: as it changes again, next week.
@@jameskerry3826 Science does not change. It is our knowledge and the tools we acquire that increases our understanding and interpretation of scientific FACTS
You might be safe, but about 82000 people are dying every day due to inflammatory diseases, and alcohol is one culprit. Eighty two thousand people per day. And people are profiting off of selling highly processed food and alcohol that lead to so many unnecessary deaths. That is the problem
That’s half of all deaths, without even mentioning the deaths from cancer.
Thank you for preparing this Masterclass Jessie. I knew alcohol wasn't good for health but not the whole extent of the damage it does, as you said. 😮
Like my dad who lived to be 97 years young, I drink a glass of red wine daily! It pears so well with wholesome food and is relaxing, not to mention the benefits it contains. Everything is good in moderation, live your life to the fullest!! ❤
🍷🍷 Agreed!
This setup is lit ! The old classic computer with the red tie.
I wonder if soda is the same results?

Being Biochemist I didn't know that much 😅thanks for ur hard working n public awareness vedios Stay Bless ❤
Thank you Jessie. A timely episode for me ♥️
Being a non-drinker is to my benefit! Great info...thank you.
OMG LOVE THIS! And yes it should have all this WARNINGS. Thank you so much💖
Thank you very much for this excellent video!
Oh finally... After so long.....7 months wait.... Missed you and your content❤️
Thanks a lot, for the valuable advice and information!!!
Thank you very much, Jessie!❤👍
I can't believe you charge so much for the anti spike capsules 😮
Vitamin manufacturers have really up the prices of raw materials.
What about all the lecturers she gives us for free? Recipes too. Figure that into your costs.
Gratitude for the knowledge and awareness🙏🏿💚
Amazing review !! thanks a lot Glucose Goddess !
Bless You For Helping Us . ❤❤❤ The Anti Spike Formula is Wonderful
Omg you have been missed for a so long.. welcome back❤🎉
Great video Jessie.
My problem with antispike is
1. Price
2. You have to take it before meal which I ALWAYS forget. We need something that can be take with food or immediately after food
Drink apple rider vinegar with water before a meal, she does talk about this in her earlier videos before she started to market this product. It works... and you can take it with you in a small glass bottle whe going out.
Tip: any vinegar works as well as ACV, so you can save your money.
Very interesting, although I don't drink alcohol at all (only special occasions) I can tell that this information is really useful 🧠
Pd: I love the way you move throughout the whole video, really fluid 👌🏻
Thank you. I love your videos. 😊
Brilliant info, thankyou!!
Thank you Jesse! I love the way you look the way you talk and your beautiful brain. Keep up the great great work! Love your angel Bonnie
She's back! first video in months thought she disappeared off the face of the earth!
Love the new intro!
If the liver is busy with the alcohol then shouldn't blood sugar go up since the liver is too busy to help with that?
I was a bit confused by this explanation as well. Is the liver mistakenly filtering glucose out of the blood, because of the alcohol?
Starch is converted into sugar in n the mouth and in the small intestine. It converts ultimately into glucose which enters the bloodstream. This process appears to happen without any regulation and without the liver getting involved. So if alcohol reduces glucose spikes there must be something else going on. The explanation given is that the liver is overwhelmed processing alcohol which somehow reduces the spike. I’m not really suggesting that ms glucose goddess is wrong but there must be more detail to this explanation.
Thanks Jessie! Love all your hacks and videos! Been feeling great since I started your hacks last February.
OMG….what a episode…so knowledgeable
This info is not entirely new and unsurprising. But still good to know. I don't drink during the week and not every weekend. I love wine and will never stop drinking it 😊
I wonder if this applies to regular (NOT hard) Kombucha because it has a small amount of alcohol in it.
