      I'm clearly fine with 4K.
It's nice to have 8K but more than 12K...
I'd be very spoiled with complaining how awful is having 4K.
Already complaining about 1080p, yet it looked like 4K to me.
Even in old days when i played PS1 games it looked like 8K to me.
12K and onward is sucking too much power bills out of graphic card and CPU.
If i live with a job where i have 10K $ per month then i'd be fine with it.

Even in early build, VC looks just like LS.
At least it will have entertainable dinners and nightclubs though.
Unfortunately most of good parts are saving for mp (like they did in GTA 5 and RDR2), which is bad.
And they already are giving GTA 5 mp vehicles in 6, which they're redoing same like they did with mp vehicles in olld gen into next gen streets.

@@mamad_f1471 Right. He physically, by the laws of physics and biology, cannot. The pixel density is the limiting factor. You can’t increase sharpness and resolution without having the spatial dimensions to put it. I won’t bother getting into biology of eyesight with 8-12-16K. It’s laughable. It’s a gimmick. At least at these scales and distances it is. Above he replied me claiming he see all the differences even though no one will play it like that. Sorry, that’s not how physics works. One an 8K monitor as I said above, playing at 4K will look better than playing at native 8K because of higher consistent frame rate but increased pixel density of an 8K television will give a noticeable increase in sharpness in 4K because of it. Meaning, two people playing at 4K ultra, one using a 4K monitor and one using an 8K television, same refresh rate, say 120hz, the 8K tv will still look much sharper because of the pixel density despite both being set at “4K.” He went on and on above to me telling me to try it myself and see. I don’t have to. I understand physics and biology. I already know where the limitations are. But to get free stuff of course he has to say all that.

Also little tip: when you turnt he resolution to 8K you don't need stuff like TAA (Antri Aliasing) or 8xMSAA on reflections. At that resolution any kind of Anti-Aliasing becomes an unnecessary performance killer. Plus if you lower the quality to high instead of Ultra, the 4090 can probably achieve pretty playable framerates at native 8K.

I'm hoping that the 4080 is as impressive an upgrade over the predecessor as the 4090 was, because Nvidia really kicked out of the park with the 4090. The only problem with the 4090 aside for the price (which if you compare it to its closest performance competitor isn't bad) is the power draw and the likelihood of needing a new PSU to support it.
My current system doesn't have a ton of fans, but it has 32gb ddr4 at 3200 mhz and a ryzen 3800x. I'm hoping if I get the 4080 16gb that my system can put out some great performance still, until I eventually upgrade the other parts like Mobo, CPU, ram.

    • @InsidePlay2023
      @InsidePlay2023 Год назад +1

wst? 48GB of vram? I see where we're heading. The same way ram started with 128mb then 256mb then 512mb then 1GB then 2GB then 4GB then 8GB then 16GB then 32gb THEN 32gb, I suppose te vram someday will reach 64GB then 120GB then 256GB then 512GB of vram. I will not be surprised to see a 1TB of vram, even 4TB og vram, even 8TB of vram, even 16TB of vram, even 32TB of vram, there were games such batman Arkham city that had good graphics and its requirement was 512MB vram. I see how Nvidia and the industry are playing us. It's all about marketing, selling products and the high ones beat the lower ones, bet it the ram, vram or anything else. No one cares about our pocket.

Bro, Batman arkham knights just had a good artstyle, global illumination, and textures only. Not detailed dynamic shadows, real fog particles, not real cloud particles being rendered one by one, no grass being rendered as a single part of the entire world of the game, no water physics, no bullet physics, no ragdoll physics, no real time reflections, no real time cutscenes, bla bla bla. This is why we need such graphic cards@@InsidePlay2023

I can't imagine what my kids will say to me in 20 years time if I tell them I played video games on my slightly self-OCed GTX750 with 30fps at 1080p that were (are) 10 years old at this point... even just seeing someone play at 4k and seeing the difference of 4K vs 1080p on a 1080p monitor is mind-boggling.
By the way, if you read this, I really love your work. Love seeing all this different hardware in different games and scenarios!
Currently dreaming of pairing my i5 6500 with either an RX580 or maybe even a 590 (if I can get a good used deal, I do a lot of GPU but not CPU intense work for university so ist does still make sense). You really helped me in finding the sweet spot of what I want to get out of my Frankenstein rig haha! At least got me some 16GB of RAM recently, so much better than 8!!!

The power usage at the end on 16k. So noted: either play at too low of a resolution relative to what the 4090 is capable of, or just go all out until VRAM is the limit and not pure GPU strength.
