I just bought one. A 1 year old GT Line. Brilliant!
Any troubles in the winter? Since the windows have to roll down like 5 cm to be able to enter the car?

This car's roarin' baby!! It has flair and spice like older pug sedans like the 405 STI LM i used to have and the 505 my grandpa used to have b4 he stopped driving.

just purchased gt model only complaint is the ambient lighting advert says doors,cup holders & center console.first drive at night no center console lights does anyone know if this can be added as an extra

@JohnDark93 I'm not understanding you. Journalist generally have integrity and should state thing honestly. I'm asking if he truely means the 508 is the most beautiful ever as that is what he stated. If this was just some random guys channel I'd care less but Carguide does have some responsibility to be honest

Too bad it’s only FWD. With an interior and an exterior like that, if sold with AWD in the USA, it would probably do very well. That’s a very very advanced looking cockpit.

Rear seats car vents cant be a selling point, my 2005 camry sportivo has them..

@@djnigellove just read it uses the insignia platform so looks like I'm 100% right
previous gen insignia is what I was referring to, which we saw rebadged here. New 508 and new Insignia ride on a new PSA platform. So yes it's the same platform, but it's not an Insignia, the Insignia is a 508

This might be a Peugeot or opel or commodore worthy of my attention....psa bought opel, which was owned by GM who owned Holden who bought the current commodore from opel who was sold by GM to PSA who owns Peugeot.....

Better than C class and giving E class a run. But who cares anyway, its still PSA Peugeot Citroen that makes interiors and body trims for Mercedes.
I don't know about mercedes interior quality but this car interior and exterior are far better looking than most, if not all, mercedes
However good this car may be (I’m withholding judgement on that) Peugeot’s cliff like depreciation and a reputation for poor reliability is something they’ll will have their work cut out to beat.
Over the last few years they have made some pretty reliable cars since the old 307 1st gens!!! So dont be so narrow minded!!
From your statement you seem to be making my point. They’ve got their work cut out for them to beat the reputation they suffered from bad experiences by “narrow minded” persons like me. I’ve liked Peugeot’s (504’s, 404’s, 205gti’s) but probably am unlikely to buy one.
I’ve bought myself the third 508. Now the new model. Never had any Maine problems.
Could not help but notice the way some people make sweeping generalisations, not just about this car, but about the manufacturer, without ever having driven it.
I did not realise, for instance, that it is a fact that Peugeot still can't build a decent car, according to Andrei M, implying that they never have.
And they have probably never won a rally either, or a rally championship, or Le Mans, or Dakar, or Pike's Peak, or any Car of the Year awards either. Shame really.
I'm French, and never been fond of french cars, I mean, Peugeot has got some reliability issues, and always has been "meh" in terms of design..
But those redesigns.. A coupe, with active suspensions, with 230hp, good fuel economy, cheaper than the competition while providing the same stats and above average options for the price, clearly my next car.

Somehow I'm not bowled over by the exterior...not all that good looking in my opinion. The interior is pretty decent though.

At least until the 3008 pops up. Here peugeots aint exactly affordable as it used to back then in indonesia (my cousin had a 206 when i was a kid when the price aint exactly breaking the wallet, my grandpa had a 505 and i had a 405) now the highly acclaimed 3008 cost u at least $54k (1.6T auto) brand new.

It’s a car for special people with tast. This is my third 508. Never had problems.
Once I bought Peugeot; Everything is wrong, nothing works, a catastrophe.
