i post this every week, but i dont care lol. this show kicks ass and it allows us common folk to hang out with our favorite skaters and hear all the epic stories. thanks Chris and Rob. you guys kick ass.
I hate to sound cliche but damn these interviews just keep getting better, through this interview I really got a great insight on him. much respect to Paul Rodriguez. this content is pure gold
This is probably the best interview I've ever seen of a pro skater....also I can't help but notice that the overriding theme I got from Paul is that he's not "hungry" anymore and that he's satisfied with his career. He's just focused on SLS and aside from that, he's pretty much done as far as giving us content. He just doesn't care anymore whether he's impressing the skate world anymore because he's already proved himself and achieved his goals. I also can't help but notice that it seems like turning 30 has put a stigma on him in terms of confidence. It's like he thinks he's just too old to put out a banger video part anymore. But when your confidence to do so isn't in the right place, well then you probably can't. Not trying to be negative about Paul. I've watched him since he was a kid and seen him accomplish all he has and I can't blame him for having the mindset he has right now. I'd probably be the same way if I were in his shoes.
I think the bigger issue is that he is trying to create a stable and lucrative life for himself and whatever family he may have. That takes a different set of priorities.
Seriously great work, can't be more stoked on the current state and direction of the show, Paul talks about gaps in the marketplace, well there is a COMPLETE lack of serious skater driven podcast right now, props for filling that niche.
I hate to sound cliche but damn these interviews just keep getting better, much respect to Paul Rodriguez, got a great insight on him through this one. great content man pure gold
It really surprised me to see just how business savvy Paul Rodrigues actually is. I probably shouldn't be surprised though, he is at the top of this game we all call skateboarding for a reason. Love the show guys, keep the interviews coming.
pretty seamless transition from talking about Devine to talking about a Primitive video seeing as some time ellapsed between (4:26, PROD finishes third can--4:28 sippin on a bottle)
Nigel K. Alexander goes down as one of the best filmers in skating. Even in his edits he's been doing what Flip was able to accomplish a couple years afterwards - not only just from the original music used but because it was definitely something refreshing and rarely done in such a long time now.. My first real branded deck was a DNA Jerry Fowler "World domination" board from a Guam mall shop back in 2008. It was then I realized there was clear grip tape. P-ROD has always been part of every new things beginning. That Plan B Life After Death video was "The" 1st easily accessible skate mini full length to view. It's good from beginning to end and I appreciate Hip-Hop and the way that was edited is timeless.
By far best one yet. I literally didn't want it to end haha. Been skating since 2000 and been a huge fan of Paul ever since In-Bloom days, so it was awesome to hear what he had to say. Keep it up guys. Thanks for doing these.
Now I wake up every monday waiting to see my youtube's notification from The Nine Club! Thanks for this one, Paul is my all time favorite... after C-Rob of course!
Give us footy Prod, the boss filmed a part for the new emerica vid, he said he won't we out do his stay gold part, but no one cares, any footage is good, even if it's chilling bench lines, we love that shit, you have done your thing you have nothing to prove anymore
The Primitive encore video just came out. Hands down one of the best skate videos of all time. Every skater every trick was mind-blowing trick was mind-blowing
Kind of sad hearing them talking about if prod will be having another video part. it's like the ending of that generation where lots of us skating hard in the 2000s. Hearing there may not be another video part from him makes us feel old, would be epic if he can just pump out one more career ending part.
Loved hearing about Paul's time on Girl and 'eS. Also the fact the Koston 5 was intended to be Paul's shoe! always wondered about that info. Great episode, keep doin ya thang C-Rob!
What a wise and humble person you've become, Paul. Great to have known you personally and watched you come up. Yours is a good example of what true success looks like.
Best one yet! I can't tell you guys how stoked I am to see a new video pop up on my feed and listen to it while I'm driving. I actually don't mind the traffic for once! I'd love to hear Appleyard, Mikey Taylor, Sheckler, Austyn Gillette, or Robert Brink.
This was so good. Gotta catch up on all of these episodes. Always admired P-Rod since I was 12. This was a much needed sit down and insight into his life
I absolutely love this show. Definitely my favourite channel, always looking forward to the next episode every Monday! I'd love to see interviews with Giovanni Reda and Jerry Hsu (I'm sure Crob could make that happen...)!
don’t judge a book by its cover. just watched the reda episode. i always thought he was a dick too just by his “in your face” personality. but i didn’t after the episode. and it wasn’t only because of the b.a. story.
VALLEY SKATE & SURF will always be a favorite local shop! Got my first board there too in 98’ Powell Angel Boy👊🏼been stuck on your show guys!! Keep it up!
Hey, that would be awesome, english is still a barrier for a huge part of people here in Brazil, I got friends that watch it, but not all them because some can't understand, subtitles will help a lot people to understand whats going on and attract more people to the channel, no doubt.
was not expecting much. the city stars in depth to breakdown of craft brewing and all the other business small talk. I got a whole new respect for PRod. Great episode with a ver unsuspectingly entertaining guest. big up to Crob And Rog .keep it the fuck up. don't sell out.
guys talked about some really good topics, never knew that Erics 5th shoe was supposed to be prods pro shoe. P rod might be the best person you've had on the show so far. keep up the good work chris and roger
Crazy good! Totally get p-rods skepticism on film project, kinda hard out-doing his older street footy. Could see him going the same route as Guy does tho.
i post this every week, but i dont care lol. this show kicks ass and it allows us common folk to hang out with our favorite skaters and hear all the epic stories. thanks Chris and Rob. you guys kick ass.
+BeyondTheAges thank you! We welcome you into Roge's living room every Monday! Enjoy your stay! -Crob

Always could tell Paul was praying under his hat. Always thought that was such a beautiful process.

the end of this video when they are talking about floating in infinity is beautiful. paul is Very philosophical.

Hearing there may not be another video part from him makes us feel old, would be epic if he can just pump out one more career ending part.
I had to make natural high vids for school and the one I used to model mine was P-Rod’s. I will remember that vid of him for ever.

Prod drunk 54 mins into this.. hahaha
BeatBum Gaming that saint archer ain't no joke
did they really need him drinking throughout the interview? I saw they cut away to take the cans away and give him the bottle.
54:43 , yeah men we'll love you see skate! paul, you're still a great inspiration!..... great show guys
Get Shecks on here! One with him would be awesome.

Best episode yet, Paul is an awesome person. Great show, Crob and Rbag.
My iconic Paul moment was his nollie flip intro in Yeah Right, just one of those images burned in my brain forever.

Do you think we need to add Portuguese subtitles to the show?
- Roger
Hey, that would be awesome, english is still a barrier for a huge part of people here in Brazil, I got friends that watch it, but not all them because some can't understand, subtitles will help a lot people to understand whats going on and attract more people to the channel, no doubt.

your show is great. thank you.
+Computer Chip and thank you too! -Crob
Its so awesome to see you guys just doing your thing. Keep doing it and keep having fun with it
primitive should film a video but no online. keep it hard copy.
Yeah, have it on VHS and put it in two parts and put it in those old plastic cases.
Lmao Primitive would be the absolute last brand to do that. They'd sell it in target if they could.
Nostalgia isn’t completely profitable.
I'm with that
best episode yet
Get Cody McEntire on
