Shooting in game speed is different than shooting in practice. His release point and follow through is exactly the same
You not really saying anything. Shooting in practice doesn't mean you should have a weird hitch where you bring the ball forward. He's proven hes a good shooter tho so theres no reason to get worried about it for now.
@@jojoprocess2820yes it does. in practice, he's focusing on form, doing it correctly, doing it slower, all of which affects the shot. in game it's different. it's faster, his mindset is different, and the feel is different. stop thinking too hard about these off-season videos & wait for the season to come back before making judgement calls
When you've been shooting a certain way your whole life, in real game speed those mechanics is going to go right back to what it was. Probably is a way of sharpening his mechanics so that the elbow stays tucked in. Trust me that shot that he has isn't going anywhere because of muscle memory

Bridges has a crazy wingspan, so his shooting form is always going to look weird. This new form looks better. It's much smoother. It looks more clean. His original shooting form a little hitch if you really paid attention to it.

Tyrese and mikal both had long wingspan so they shot very differently from normal ppl.
Ppl with kong wingspan usually struggle with set point or have extreme 2 motion shot.
Kd learnt to counter that by putting the ball across the face(kobe highlgihted this) or havw a set point slightly to his left side of his face.

You’ve compared a set shot to and off the dribble shot I believe he always has had that awkward shooting release especial when he's catching and shooting. I do see he is snapping he's rist and using more of a goose neck at the end of his release more compared to season past. But he's shot from watching that full workout video looks improved.
