- Hi loves! Today's video is talking about my Brazilian Blowout / Hair Straightening Treatment experience. I didn't get to show my natural hair before the treatment, but I have very dry, damaged, frizzy and wavy hair with tight curls underneath. I have been struggling from color damage and putting a lot of heat on my hair and this treatment has absolutely SAVED MY HAIR. I love this treatment so much and I have barley felt the need to put heat on my hair ever since getting the treatment. I hope you guys like this video & definitely let me know if you get the treatment or have had it in the past and your thoughts!
xx Steph

It’s worth it. I learned how to do it myself. I’ve been doing it myself for about 3 years now, every 6 months of new growth. Shower and go. Before I had curly frizzy hair and now it’s straight, soft and shiny. Best decision ever.
How do you do it yourself?
@@StephenieNicole24 I watched the you tube video and followed directions. You can buy the treatment on eBay.
Do you mind sharing the brand?
Can you please share the brand you use?
Love that you did a check in for every hair situation !! Thank you can’t wait to do mine
Wow! Babe you’re so informative! This was the best video on BB I could find on RUclips. You kept coming back with more info and more! I was like yessss finally!!!! Loved this video!
Thank you so much - So happy you liked it!! I really wanted to go through each step to make sure I was covering everything because it can be so misleading only seeing the immediate "after" when it looks so good and straight!
I am getting a Brazilian blowout, or a silk press soon because my hair is so thick and puffy and frizzy!! I am so excited and happy though because I have tried everything I can at home, but I really just want to be able to wear it down
I too have insanely thick hair I've been through a lot I went through proton radiation when I was a kid my stylist has done alot with my h as it and can't wait to do this with me
At the end I mistakenly called it a "keratin treatment" but that is NOT the treatment i got! They are different treatments and I definitely recommend doing your own research before getting the Brazilian Blowout / Brazilian Hair Straightening treatment to find out what will work best for your hair and give you the results you want!
FIOS PLASTIC SURGERY , BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT
Does not use formaldehyde or any dangerous carcinogen like that.
I love the product
I have thick coarse latin hair and mine ended up as stunning as you described yours
YESSS finally someone who understands me but my hair is more frizzier anyways I’m getting mine done on thursdayyy x
ugh with and without makeup ur so pretty
I literally just got my Brazilian blowout done. I literally thought I was going to die. The heat the smell and how he was pulling my roots I literally felt my teeth cringing
It can cause cancer
Getting my Brazilian soon!!! I can’t wait, my hair is so broken, it’s just like you describe yours. Frizzy, I needed heat at the top and bottom. I will give heat a rest as soon as I get my blowout 🙌🏼
I’m confused about your visceral reaction (5:21) to the framed photograph you have of the African child. Why would an African child be “creepy” and why do you have it in the first place if it repulses you?
If it was a (white child) you wouldn't say a darn thing about it and she'd say the same thing if he was white, stop making everything about race. I'm sure anyone in a picture staring at you would be a bit creepy somewhat. White, black, Asian, and Hispanic like literally just stop
@@EzzyUKFYM that’s not true. Pictures you own, in your home should not make you react in this manner. And yes, the fact that she’s white & the child is African does leave a bad taste in my mouth. She should have edited that part out but I guess she thought it was funny? So here I am calling her on her insensitivity.
@@jessicajohnson755 What, her being white an the child being an African American means nothing, I have a clown painting in my own home. I'm certainly not the type to get scared but when I walk up my stairs it definitely feels rather creepy having a child in a clown outfit look at me. She certainly wasn't looking at the color of his skin, but rather she was looking at how the picture was an what type of manner it was in. Stop with the race war, we fought for this type of stuff when Martin was around an we won that battle already, just because she says something about a child an the child happens to have a different color from her you make it a big deal that's just not cool, I'm disappointed how we really can't say anything about anyone now a days...
@@EzzyUKFYM again, she should have edited that part out. And you should get rid of the clown.
@@jessicajohnson755 Haha, I probably should I just use it as a filler for my staircase, but we're all titled to are opinions and I can tell you meant no harm an I'm glad you shared yours. Have a wonderful night hun
Your hair looks Amazing!!! I'm super excited I'm actually getting a brazillian blow out today.
You probably already know this by now, Olaplex is great at putting protein to rebuild your hair, but too much of Olaplex will make your brittle because of the protein. So you need to use a very moisturizing mask to balance it out. They just came out with Olaplex #4 which puts the moisture back in … 💕
I'm getting one in a couple weeks and I'm super excited!! As I have wavy/curly hair and it's super frizzy, so I straighten it most of the time my friend got this and it turned out really good so?!!
emily currie mines the same way, I used to straighten it every day and no I barley put any heat on it at all!!! It has drastically changed my hair and made it so much softer and smoother 😊 so excited for you - Let me know how it ends up working for you!
@@StephLongmuir will do 👍
Wait you mentioned you went into the ocean? I thought you're not supposed to go into the pool or ocean with your hair?
Super informative! I’m getting one next week 👸🏼
Laira Ellis So exciting!!! Let me know how you like it 🥰
I have the exact same problem with my hair. About to get a Brazilian blowout tomorrow
wow,, game changer- how long did it last- and did it affect the colour at all?
When you brush your hair, will it make it frizzy?? I can’t brush my curly hair, it gets so frizzy! I’m getting a Brazilian blowout next week and I’m so excited
Ah yay im so excited for you!! And that used to happen to me and it still does frizz up a little bit occasionally, but this treatment helped SO much! When i brush my hair now I use a wet brush and put hair oil on the ends while its still damp (brush gently starting at the ends) and i find that it dries much less frizzy that way!
if you dont have good hair to begin with, it will break off and you will be SOL. If your hair is not really strong on its own, do not do this.
The comment i was looking for
@@nataliaadorno285 this is not true. The Brazilian Blowout actually repairs the hair so no matter the condition of your hair, it will be better after the treatment.
If you have thick curly or kinda curly hair , the Brazilian blowout/ keratin treatment will only make your hair wavy, it will not make it straight 100 percent or even 85 percent, isn’t worth it ? Maybe for the first 6 to 8 weeks. I paid $380 bucks for my Brazilian blowout and $450 for the keratin treatment.. my advice is just love the shape of your hair , after all it’s unique.
Tell your stylist to apply some of the solution to your hair before brushing it out and it will de tangle much easier
Your hair sounds like mine. I just got highlights and was recommended this treatment. I might get it in a few months I was thinking about getting it next time I get it lightened before the beach this summer. So that last bit was super helpful. How's it been over the last two years? Are you still getting them?
Hi. Great video. Does this help with damaged hair? Or will it damage it further?
Butterfly S you shouldn’t do it if you have damaged hair. They blow dry it at super high heat and flat iron it with minimum 7 passes on every strand at 450 degrees. If your hair is damaged, it could snap off.
Amy M thank you for your reply! I’ll keep this in mind and check for other options.
@@ShawnS23 certified Brazilian Blowout specialist here! The solution has bonders inside and it fills your hair cuticle and the process of blow-drying and flat ironing seals the product in to repair your hair. If you have damaged hair, this treatment will do wonders for you.
@@amylynnmichelle1098 completely untrue.
This was so helpful great job on this video. Getting one on monday!
$250 that’s a good price I have an appointment for this Saturday and I’m paying $350 😩
Ugh, my stylist also rakes through my hair like a maniac! I have healthy blonde hair, and I know I lost about a pound of hair with my last appointment:((
OWild1Child I recommend getting the hair 90-100% if it’s really tangled. It gets the knots or tangles out a lot easier and less breakage.
@@rammon147 it gets tangled after she highlights and washes. I go in with it just fine. lordy. I don't know how to drop a hint. She even asked if I was tender-headed. I said yes!
Wait your last appointment of the Brazilian blowout ?
@@nohesiii no I haven't let her do a BB. I would be bald after for sure:())
OWild1Child omg have you ever
gotten one?
Im getting my first Brazilian blowout tomorrow morning! This video makes me so excited to get it done.
Did you have it done? What was your experience?
Steph I was literally thinking of getting one and ur video popped up lmao
Eliana L omg that’s so funny!!! You need to give it a try I love love love it 😍
I got one last may... But I wasn't consulted prior to and the treatment gave me anxiety.... It's so thin after you get it done and shower... Really something that stylist need to inform there clients prior to as well as regarding the fumes during the process I wasn't aware of those.
Great ! Thank you , they need to be gentle like a baby. Blond hair is delicate.
Just did mine yesterday I have naturally straight hair just really thick and dry, I’m wondering how mine will turn out after my first wash, she told me to wash it the next day and use a hair mask only the first time washing it and than after that with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, also I’m wondering she said it’s stronger than a keratin treatment as far as straight the hair but I don’t think that’s the case
I would love to know how long this lasts with well water in your home.
At the end of this video, you said it was a Keratin treatment. I thought it was a Brazilian blowout? Aren't they two different things?
Hi! You’re gorgeous!! Also, how long did this treatment last on your hair? When would I need to get another one?
I really enjoyed your review on this, your hair looks FAB girl, Thank you, I just did the Brazilian blowout on my hair too, I used my Monat Vegan hair care products instead of the shampoo and conditioner given to me and I got AMAZING results with this. My hair did not frizz at all and it stayed shiny for days, it also made my hair grow like crazyy. I absolutely love the Brazilian blowout and with theses products, I didn't even have to worry about damaging the blowout because of the natural chemicals monat has
What was so "creepy" about the beautiful child in the picture behind you?
How long did your bb last? It didn’t look completely sealed in your after pictures. The stylist missed a lot of spots for sure. Also you aren’t supposed to wash your bb so quickly. You’re supposed to rinse only, mask it, rinse it, and style as usual. Then washing after is fine. The mask helps seal the cuticle and repair damage.
That's not true.
It's been over a year since I have gotten it and I honestly still think my hair is much smoother than before!! I would say it really lasted completely for the first 8 months after....I am definitely going to be getting it again once quarantine is over!
Hey girl!🧡🎁Your hair looks Beautiful! 🍀Does the Brazilian help with hair growth ?
Thank you!! I have found that it does because it reduces the amount of heat I have to put on it which, in turn, helps against breakage and keeping it healthy!! I highly recommend!
Did your eyes end up burning at all? Did it smell? Thanks so much!
Hi Steph, I watched your video twice and I’m still unsure, did you get the Keratin treatment or Brazilian blowout? I thought it was the same and now that I’m making research turns out it’s different. I’m getting Brazilian blowout done in 2 days and I’m a little nervous now that I see that a lot of people had bad experience with it and prefer the keratin treatment instead.
Karina Trinidad ahh hi I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this!! Okay so I got the Brazilian Blowout treatment NOT the keratin!! I had gotten the keratin done before and it did nothing for me (I know people who have gotten it and loved it but I just didn’t do anything for me and I was so sad haha) so I got the Brazilian blowout treatment and I am OBSESSED!!! It’s been like 3 months now and my hair is still so much smoother than before and I’m probably going to get it again in a few weeks!!! Definitely do your research on the salon your going to (which it sounds like you have!!) and I’m sure it will be fine! Everyone has bad experiences and different experiences but me personally I love love love it and have recommended it to all my friends!! I hope this helped! Please let me know how it goes and let me know if you have any more questions! 💗💗😊
Do you use a hair protector to straighten your hair ?
How long did it last?
What... why was the little black kid creepy?
did it do any damage on your hair in the long run
do you recall if after the flat ironing did your stylist rinse, apply the bonding spray then do a final blow dry? a local stylist of mine is asking if i want the final rinse and final blow dry which is clearly in the steps of the product manufacturer. thanks
Traci nooo! There should be no rinse right after the flat ironing. You should wait to rinse for about 24hrs and then rinse very well and masque it. Not wash it.
Same with me. I washed it out when I got home myself because I couldn't stand the smell.
My hair is insanely thick I'm gonna get my Brazilian Blowout soon
Are the fumes really dangerous?
Love ur lashes what mascara do you use???
The salts from the ocean counter the keratin treatment just fyi
Can I get this with a la weave sewn in?
I just got mine done! I’d be upset if they missed the stop on me like they did missed your in spot underneath that is curly on one side😝. I think they didn’t get enough product in that spot or didn’t run the flat iron over it enough! I’m glad your happy. I hope after I wash mine it’s good too. I want to use olaplex shampoo and conditioner and there are so many kinds. Don’t know what to get. I just want a regular shampoo and conditioner .
Hey what's the difference between a brazilian blowout and permanent hair straightening?
brazilian blowout only lasts a couple
months and is better for your hair. the permanent hair straightening permanently straightens all your hair until it grows out, it will never wear off on its own, and it’s more damaging. that’s all i know i’m sure there’s more!
I think your beautiful! I wish I looked like you! So pretty!
Girl me too I just got mine down yesterday and I swear she was pulling my hair our
Ugh the worst!!!! Hope you are loving it, though?!
thought about it, yeah the price sucks
He was so nice but ripping out my hair is okay
The chemical they use is Formaldehyde, just so you know.... 🤷🏻♀️
thank you!!
It's in everything...
Darling, brush your hair for him. Don’t come into a salon with your hair all messed up in a bun.
I completely agree - The second I walked in I realized I completely forgot...never again!
Is olaplex bond smoother cream is ok for Brazilian hair???
Aimee Fouad It is sulfate free, my hair stylist said it would be fine! I love it and haven’t had any issues with it 😊
Yes. It’s just a styling cream. Sulfate is a detergent used to aid wash products in lathering. So sulfates actually don’t exist in styling products.
You are sooo cute!!!... I loved your video my Stylist recommended I get a Brazilian blowout so I scheduled for a couple minutes out!!... this video really made me more excited about getting one!!!... and can I go to your boyfriends Beachhouse with you!
Ahh this just made my day, so happy you liked it!! Thanks so much for the sweet comment
🤔 How is that adorable baby creepy?
Thank you for the video 😘 I’m getting a Brazilian Blowout in 2 weeks. I’m a little worried as I have bleached hair which is dry, damaged with breakage. I’m hoping this will help it stop breaking and frizzing. Have you noticed any breakage since the treatment? When you said you could feel your hair breaking when he was brushing the treatment through did the hairdresser seem concerned? Have you tried curling it yet, if so did it hold a curl? Thank you again Xx
Yay I am so excited for you!! It's been a little over 3 weeks since I got mine and I am BLOWN AWAY!! I barley have to put any heat on it at all and it is so soft and smooth without any product! I have extremely dry, damaged hair from all the bleach as well and I can truly say this treatment has saved my hair big time!! The breakage and damage and dryness has been reduced significantly. My hair breaking during treatment was because he was brushing it very roughly after the clarifying shampoo...i would ask your hairdresser performing the treatment on you to brush it gently after the rinse to avoid excess breakage! I have since tried curling it and it stayed just how my hair usually would! Definitely do your research and go to a place with great reviews. Please let me know how you like it after..I have nothing but amazing amazing things to say about it, best of luck! :)
Also - i will say it is definitely important to use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner to help maintain the treatment and for best results. I swear by the brand "Olaplex"..it is on the pricier side but for dry, dull, damaged and breaking hair it has saved my life!! Hope that helps!
Thank you for replying. I was thinking of cancelling my appointment but your reply has made me happy. I’ve just ordered some Olaplex, No4 and No5 and I’m going start using it before my treatment . I’ll let you know how It all goes 😘😘
for me as a guy , I think her hair in the before treatment look better then when it was completely done and she was talking about the poor lighting. Her hair actually look better in the beginning before the treatment then after it was completely done.
Marco Tolento in the “beginning stage” that’s not her natural hair, it said something about it being a few days since she’d curled it
Uhm…. What’s creepy about the child in the photo?
That wasn't a child. That was a picture frame
Im getting a brazilian blowout today!
So exciting!!! Let me know how you like it!
Steph Longmuir I love it!!! It helped my hair soooo much its already growing faster!!!
@@gracynsmith8332 ahhhhh YAYYY!!! That makes me SO happy to hear! I need to get it again ASAP
Why is the black child creepy? That really threw me off. Should of never bought the portrait.
😳
Nice video! I wonder if I can contact you through email?
First of all… this girl is so irritating. Is she eating something every time she records?? And what’s up with the picture of the bald little boy (or girl) in the background that made her scream 🙀 like that? Isn’t that a child… it’s not a monster is it? Or is there something I don’t know about? Someone please explain that to me. This entire video is freakin weird.
