  • Hey guys in this video I tell you my experience with Brazilian Blowouts/Keratin Blowouts. I have had both done before and they both did the EXACT same for me which is why I use the terms interchangeably. I am no professional nor do I know everything there is to know about the actual treatment itself, but I am here to help and want to share what I've learned along the way :)

    Organix shampoos DO have sulfates, don't let the label fool you, look for the ingredients list, and the conditioners have silicones as well. Thanks for the video!

    My hair used to be super curly. I’ve had 3 Brazilian blowouts and now my hair is a lot less curly. Way more manageable and soft. Pretty sure if I keep doing them my hair won’t be curly anymore

    I just had the Brazilian done a couple months ago and I love it :) my hair is SO shiny and smooth. It's still very curly but it's really really easy to flat iron and it stays straight for days so I don't have to redo it everyday :) I love my Brazilian!!

    I had curly hair as a child but lost my curl during puberty. I was left with frizzy hair. It was so coarse and flat ironing my hair did nothing. I got thermal reconditioning in 2009 and it changed my life...I loved it! I will admit that it was too flat. I started getting Brazilian blowouts and like them more than the tr. It's not as flat and seems healthier.

    My hair didn't change, it was so black and silky and straight but I decided to DIY perm it, and then it started to get really dry, damaged and frizzy. I also used heat tools and relaxed, rebonded it and even bleached it. It was so damaged that I lost confidence and I decided to avoid chemicals so I stopped for 2 years. It improved a lot but I can still feel its dryness. Now im thinking of Brazilian blow out...

    I'm getting it done next Tuesday, I have really thick, wavy/curly hair with dip dyed hair, I'm really excited but scared it won't work well. Also if it makes your hair dry slower then mine will take forever to dry, it already takes 24hours+ to air dry and about 3-5hours to blow dry!!! Wish me luck!! Xx

    I had my hair rebonded about 2 years ago and half of my hair is wavy and frizzy and the other half is straight. I just want to kind of have a touch up in my roots to straighten it. What type of treatment do you recommend?

    • @NereStyle
      @NereStyle  8 лет назад

      Because the keratin treatment is so elaborate, I really don't think they work on only a small section of hair, but you should definitely ask a stylist if this is something they can do.
      I've never had my hair rebonded so sorry I can't help you with that :/

    I have very thin hair just like you and my hair looks amazing with the Brazilian Blowout ! A tip ! If you have very damaged hair don’t get a Brazilian Blowout ! Your hair will be ruined cuz in order to lock the product, the hair stylist will run a 400 degree flat iron over ur hair !

  • @cherryblossom5874

    Wrong. I asked my hairdreeser if I should colour my hair a few days before the Brazilian blow dry. They said the treatment will strip your colour. I've been going there for 20 plus years and it made sense. They used a clarifying shampoo twice then the treatmen. It took about 3 hours I also had a cut and blow dry and trust there judgment do not colour your hair before you have it done . you can cut it after 24 hours not even wash it. I coloured mine a week later no problem. Im inches uk and spent £90 incuding cut and blow dry.however i have found that it looks finer and thin so im going to get a few inches cut. Overall I'm so happy with the results no frizz no dryness and always wash with a sulphate free shampoo x

    What's like the difference between Brazilian blowout vs keratin straightening treatment, like I know the keratin you leave for 3 days vs blowout. But otherwise is one better for your hair?

    • @NereStyle
      @NereStyle  8 лет назад

      I'm not too sure about the real chemical differences but I like the brazilian a lot. You need to wait 3-4 days to wash with the brazilian as well.

    Don’t forget that your shampoo shouldn’t contain SODIUM CHLORIDE. Google it!! Sodium chloride strips the BBL from your hair just as much as sulfate because it’s a salt. It’s essentially like putting ocean water on your hair, which is known to remove the BBL treatment from hair. Just another tip for anyone reading this! You have to look to make sure that Sodium Chloride isn’t in the ingredients list of your shampoo/ conditioner. It’s mostly found in shampoos and you’d be surprised how many sulfate/silicone/paraben free products contain sodium chloride!!

    So you do recommend the blowout? What's the thickness of your hair? I have fine hair, I'm worried that it will damage my hair a lot. I have wavy/frizzy hair, but it's not terribly hard to manage. But I would like to just not have to worry about straightening my hair or anything. How much damage did it give your hair?

    • @NereStyle
      @NereStyle  7 лет назад +1

      Yes. In my opinion, the damage from the brazilian was far less than straightening my hair every other day so I saved my hair. I have fine thin hair as well and the brazilian treatment made my hair much easier to work with and it looks better.

    • @NereStyle

      As weeks go by and I wash it, it doesn't stay perfectly straight because it is different than a perm. It does however reduce the frizziness and I love it. The first time I ever got it done it was SOOOO effective and my hair actually was straight for a long time!

    I want to try the Brazilian blowout so bad, but I'm afraid my curls will go away, I'm not a completely straight hair fan, I would like to at least keep some waves on my hair. Will this happen or will it flaten it like crazy super flat?

      No I don't mind the aromas of the salon treatments most of the time lol, and my stylist gives me a mask to make it a safer process. No it's suggested not to tie your hair up for a few hours because they leave an indent in your hair, you want to keep it nice and smooth for as long as you can.

      I actually don't because I'm not too knowledgable of everything done during the actual progress and I don't want to just talk about what I think they do lol but as a customer I did want to talk about my experience

      epada79 Well with the Brazilian, they washed my hair. Applied the treatment. Sat under a heater for 20/30ish minutes then they blow dried it and straightened it thoroughly. They washed it a second time. Applied a serum let it sit for 20mins,rinsed then straightened my hair one last time. It's a really long process.

  • @eliseeexoxo
    @eliseeexoxo 8 лет назад

    Do you think the treatment makes your hair fade a lot? I colored my hair about a month ago and it's a Demi color. I'm getting my treatment done in a week and I'm afraid my hair will fade a lot and I use extensions so I need my hair to match. What do you think?

    • @NereStyle
      @NereStyle  8 лет назад

      +April i think it honestly varies from person to person. But in my experience so far it hasn't made my color fade. Mine has been blonde though so maybe that's why. My hairstylist has told me before that this treatment actually helps lock in the color so hopefully that happens to you. Let me know how it goes girl.

  • @qtsab8553

    I've been getting brazilians for years now. Being bi racial my natural hair is very curly without straightening it and puffy/frizzy and gets knotted very easily. With the brazilian it makes it very manageable. I use the shampoo and conditioner and put the masque in once every week

      @@NereStyle so I got my first treatment(I am a boy) but I'm scared on what will happend if I wash my hair, will it still be the same if I airdry it? Or should I use my blower but you said that using a blower can make ur hair frizzy(which happened to me before the treatment) so what is the best way to make my hair still the same? Thanks!

    • @NereStyle
      @NereStyle  4 года назад

      @@zakey6003 Hey I would recommend letting it air dry after the 3 days, so that you can see the true results. After that you can decide on how or when you want to use your air dryer. Blow drying maybe wouldn't leave your hair frizzy but it may be unnecessary.

      Your hair won't look pin straight forever. As far as the concerns for your health, that comes from the fumes and chemicals used. However bleaching your hair, color, and other treatments also release fumes.

      Brazilian Blowout is a brand. Keratin smoothing treatment is a generic description. With the Brazilian Blowout, there is no wait-to-wash period. When you walk out of the salon, the only requirement/restriction is to use keratin safe hair products. When performed correctly, the Brazilian Blowout can maintain volume. This treatment is fully customizable and I STRONGLY recommend getting your information about this service from a trained/certified professional and not just a client with some experience. While there is useful information in this video, there is also a lot of MISinformation. I appreciate the disclaimer, and I hope your viewers don’t use this video as a substitute for a PROFESSIONAL consultation. One of the largest issues we professionals are CONSTANTLY dealing with in the salon is correcting false information found online.
