Wow! I can't believe someone would throw out such a beautiful piece of furniture! It is absolutely gorgeous!💖
Right?! But I understand sometimes people have things come up in life and have to make quick changes
@@DesertDIY I can understand that, too, but donate it or give it away. I just can't believe people put it out for trash.🤷♀️
I know. The details are gorgeous.
Andersonville, Tennessee here! So glad you gave this piece more years! Beautiful!
Thank you so much Tracey
This piece is so gorgeous!! I can't believe that it was headed for the dump!! You did a great job on it and I'm sure whoever gets this will loveit for a long time.

So lovely that your husband works with you!
Yes! I am so thankful
Cory this secretary turned out amazing! I love your pop of color, and the tacks as nail heads, beautiful! I can't believe someone put this on the curb. Antiques that old almost never look that nice to start. Total score! Love that your "client" was thrilled! 👏😍
Thank you so much! Means a lot to me that you liked it
Federal blue is such a historic color. Very nice!
Thank you Vicki! Yes federal blue is a perfect name for it
This is so cool. You can have your wood and paint it too. Closed it looks like an antique, but open it and wow.
Thank you so much I'm so glad you liked my idea
You have such a steady hand, this looks lovely 😮
Thank you so much! I try my best
I LOVE THE GOLD ON THE BLUE! Nice! Really nice!
Thank you Cheryl!
wow, this piece of furnisher turned out so beautiful , well done
Thank you Marie
I would not have the courage to paint the inside of that piece. I love wood and since it is old maybe stain it a bit darker. It did turn out would derful for a street find. And it did have a nautical vibe. Captain's logbook, old maps, a sextant, a spyglass and an old tankard would conjour a story of the Sea!! TFS.❤😊
I love how your mind works! And staining it darker would be pretty too! It's all about making it something you'll love and treasure for many years to come.
You did such a awesome job. I love the curio cabinet. Your home is absolutely beautiful. You always do such a great job. I love watching. I love taking something old and turning it into something that I love
Thank you so much
It turned out so beautiful Cory!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much Kim!
Love what you did to this, came out exceptional. I compare the tacking of the tack heads to painting those rocks, very relaxing. Very well done cory!
Oh good observation! Although you took many more hours!
That blue would’ve fit in perfectly with my kitchen. Beautiful!💙

Beautiful ❤️
very nice update.
Thank you Kristy
This is such an interesting video. I have some pieces from my grandparents the insides of the drawers are stained and look awful. While I wouldn’t paint the beautiful solid wood outside, painting the inside will upgrade it and make it more mine. Thanks. Your was so beautiful
Yes! And you don't have to go bold. You can do neutrals or even brown like the wood. Just to clean it up visually
You're right. It does have a nautical look, which I love. At the same time, it also looks very regal. Great job and best wishes in the contest! 🙂👍
Thank you Holly
Wow that looks amazing 😊
Thank you Andrea
Beautiful!❤
Thank you Bella
Lovely 😍
This was amazing! I’m new and just subscribed. I had an Eastlake secretary that looked similar to this one. I wish I still had it so I could restore it.

What? You can use a drill for cleaning! Love that.
Right!?! It was made original for washing cars but I thought. .."that would work really well on gross furniture!"
👋Hello from Yukon, Canada. Jay at Flippingdrawers sent me, and I'm so glad he did. I'm here for hours of brain stim & great DIY knowledge. Cheers! 🥂
Wow thank you so much for coming over to support my videos!
Now a day vintage furniture are being thrown out, people dont think about it's history. I love vintage big time. I have a mix of contemporary with vintage furniture.
You are so right
❤
❤❤❤
Hi, I noticed alot of worm holes. Did you need to treat it first or was that old damage?
It was old damage thankfully
Antique May have been worth a lot of money
Not this time
I think that might’ve had a mirror on top. We have one similar-ish that has been in our family a very long time.
That is a definite possibility
I don’t know I’ve had some pretty dirty water. Lol.
Also I can’t stand the smell of shellac so I try not to use it.
Also what part was broken at the top? It looked ok from here. I’m just curious.
Oh there must have been a large piece that cam up the middle?
Kinda agree, man's chest and nautical theme
Beautiful
❤
