It really helps to see and hear when power tools are used. I have not used mine yet but I am waiting until we start work on our house. My husband knows how to use all power tools and we have an agreement. He teaches me. He doesn’t trust anyone else to do it.
Love how your dog is staying close to you as you paint on the finish❤
This was such an interesting way to repurpose the table legs! I can’t choose which one I prefer - they both turned out great! I love that they’re being donated. I hope the organization makes a LOT of money with the sale of these two cuties!🌸
Thank you Deborah! I hope so too
I’m really glad you’re donating your project for a good cause. I’m not a fan of your tables, but someone will treasure them in their home or business.
Thank you for watching
I’m a fan of manners Lol
I have a 1930s Duncan Phyife table and I love it!!! I redid it for my son and daughter in law and when they moved, they gave it and the 2 chairs to me 🥰
I love that you repurposed those lovely table legs. I would love to see the mahogany top used for the table top or tops (depending on how big it is)! It's wonderful that you are reusing the top for a dresser, you are a creative thinker. I've said it before, but your painting skills are amazing - on carpet? I wouldn't dare try that! :)
Thank you so much Lois! Im excited to recreate the dresser top soon!
How absolutely wonderful designs and colors. Thank you fir your vision.
Love your constant companion/protector. Fur babies are awesome. Love watching your channel and how you give new life.
Love the concrete tops! The beige one is my fav as well. Awesome idea for the table bases. 💖💖💖
Thank you so much Roshawnda
They’re both great but I also like the darker one. These would be great as a small coffee table for someone with not a lot of space.
I also have 2 of these tables that have been sitting in storage for years. I'm definitely helping to start this trend
Besides making the huge bases candlesticks , my son needed a custom L shaped desk. So I cut the table in half , then the other half in half added modern iron legs to it from Amazon. Then I did a weathered gray look on the top . I used every ounce of that dining table . The blocks I used for the top and bottom of candlesticks were the long pieces at top of the legs , I just cut in half for blocks . It turned out great . Wished I knew how to attach pics .
You are so creative Penny!
I'm with you! I love the cream colored one best. Great idea in up cycling these stands! Great work! ❤️❤️
I especially love the tan one. What a great idea.
It agree with your family. The table with the dark base.
You are a brave lady , pearl embossed sweater for sawdust and painting on your carpet!!!
WOW! Great transformation. At first I didn’t see the vision, but once you explained what you were going to do with the plywood top I was excited to see the end result. I love both tables but I prefer the darker base. Thanks for sharing another inspiring video.
Fun-tastic ! Was thinking one day a sofa table. Don't forget add 10-20 2 x 2 blocks underneath so it gives bent edge something stronger to attach to ,and strength and helps with expansion. Nice
I used a leg to make a really cool narrow table YEARS ago. I used a piece of 1 inch thick granite, it's 3 feet long, and 7 inches deep. holds my tv.
They are beautiful. You did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing, Cory ❤
Thank you so much Gina
@@DesertDIY you’re so welcome ❤️
Really cool idea!! I'd be worried about that kick board being pushed or pulled over years and cracking the concrete... My children are rough lol You had me holding my breathe the whole time watching you paint over your nice carpet!
They turned out so pretty.
Oh wow Cory this was a fantastic idea to repurpose the table legs! I love it. Turned out amazing ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
These tables are awesome! As a previous owner of a Duncan Phyfe table, it is heartbreaking to see so many discarded. Happy to see you are finding new uses for them. I like the tan color better too but they are both great! 🎄
I like the beige table myself too.
You have birthed an exciting new trend! Love that you rescue these beautiful treasures from extinction.
You are an extraordinary clever young lady.
Yes, I like the lighter colour.
You are industrious and talented.
Both are beautiful choices!!!
These are amazing. I'm glad I'm not alone with the things that fall and laugh about it.
These are fabulous! Gotta say, I love them both! Wonderful idea
You're crazy!! If I painted over carpet, the carpet would end up speckled. Good luck!!
Just beautiful!
I like the beige as well and I usually like the black. Good job!
Liking that gold footed model best! Always amazed by your hard work and generosity. 😇
Omgosh you are such a pro to be painting on the carpet! 😃
These are super nice tables, Corey!
I love watching your videos, they're so inspiring. I laughed at the way your toes would bend upward while working, your entire body was involved in this project!
Hahaha my husband makes fun of me for that! It's true though!
I think this would have looked great with a faux marble top with the original mohagany bottom and gold on the table leg feet. Classy and timeless. Not a fan of the cement at all, but you done a great job with it.
I agree with you, I like the beige more.
Thank you Karen
Genius idea with the concrete tops. They both look great but, personally, I prefer the beige one. A way to smooth it would be to, very lightly, go over the concrete with a damp sponge (before it dries and hardens). It should smooth the trowel marks but still leave a slight texture. Once it dries, you could still sand it more if required.
when i saw the bases my first thought was of the drum table we had when i was a little girl. it was on that table we put our tinsel tree at christmas.
Oh wow! Beautiful
I would not have thought about concrete - nice job.
I just watched your video of all your work and you do such an amazing job. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and yours.
Great job, I love this. I think your idea for the tables are perfect!
They’re both beautiful, you are so creative!
Gorgeous and genius!
Very beautiful result on these tables. You are so talented and creative! Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
Love the tan one! Looks marvelous!
Thank you Frances
I think that the edge around the tables should be half as wide so that they are not so chunky against the slender and elegant legs. I like that you are thinking outside of the box and are willing to rescue table pedestals. I was not a big fan of the wax for the details. Overall, it was a great, thoughtful project.
I love the looks of those
A patio table would be fantastic using concrete.
I would love to see you do a patio table for outside, I love the creative side of this ❤
I would love to see you do an outdoor table. 👍😊
I like the dark grey legs better, those tall pines in the background.. if I didn't know better I would say you were my neighbor. I think it's a great idea and something to build on.
Thank you so much! Loving these tall pines
That turned out awesome!!
Great makeover Cory! Love the concrete look with out the weight!!! Merry Christmas you are an inspiration donating your pieces thank you for sharing
Yes they are so light!!! I can pick them up and move them so easily! Merry Christmas my sweet friend!!!!
Both are beautiful
I love both of them but I would have used the bronze rub and buff only because I am not a gold person.
You're brilliant Cory ...what a cool idea for those bases...I Love the beige one but honestly Both are beautiful...Merry Christmas my friend 🥰❣️👍
Thank you Debra merry Christmas
Great video. Beautiful tables! ❤
I’m going to be doing concrete kitchen islands. Just need a good sealer
I just love what you did with those legs I am going to look for some old legs I have two round glass table tops. I wanted wooden legs thanks for the video
Great idea. You could even do a mercury glass look ok the glass pieces
You are just so good and creative.
I like the rustic texture! They turned out beautiful and”different”
Thank you!!!
VERY NICE AND DIFFERENT, YOU DO GREAT WORK. HAVE A GOOD DAY !
I like the beige one too. I'm so glad you can make something beautiful out of it.
Thank you Vickie
You are a creative genius Cory!
Such a great way to repurpose quality materials! I like both but agree the beige is my favorite too.
thank you for doing this project...I'm going to try that cement on 2 large outside pots I have. They are made of that lightweight material and I want them to look like concrete.
How fun! Enjoy it!
Be careful Corey! Hopefully that saw blade wasn't still on! O MG , we is don't want you to get injured!
Both are great !!
That's s great and interesting your video . Appreciate your video😊
Amazing upcycle!
Well done, I love it!
Love them both what a great idea 💡😍
Great job fantastic idea they look amazing I'm sure they'll be very happy in there new homes you're really kind to donate them and thinking of others. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year God bless 🎅🤶🙏🏼💞💞
These two tables turned out soooooooo PRETTY! Love both of them😍😍😍
Thank you Heather
Great work! I like the Drop Cloth and gold best. The table top as a concrete look is brilliant. I have an old DP that I just keep moving out of the way. Now I have an idea of what I can do with it. Thanks for sharing your creativity, oh, and your dogs.
Yay Nicole! I'm so glad you were inspired! Thank you so much
Love what you do! I have to say I was a little alarmed watching you use your circular saw. First please pull your hair back. It came dangerously close to your saw blade. Safety first!Second learn to change the depth of your blade depth so it is just cutting through the thickness of the wood. That way you limit your chance of cutting through what is underneath. Keep up the great work. 6:28
I think doing something different is brilliant and they are beautiful. You may start a new trend. The concrete top is unique and looks good.
I hope so! Thank you so much Charlotte
Beautiful
Thank you Christi
Awesome 🌟
Awesome upcycle with the table legs. Great idea with the concrete look.
A few months ago I thought of taking the two I had and make side table , but instead I made huge 21" candle sticks . I added flat pieces block to top and bottom of each and have beautiful nice Chucky candle sticks .
How cool is that!
You must be Superwomen to have the courage to work inside with carpet on your floor.
Holy cow! You must be quite the neat painter doing that inside on carpet. I would have that stuff dripping all over. 😉
You did a great job creating a table from just legs. I'm not a fan of the final product but you've created something you wanted and it turned out great!
Thank you for the support even if you didn't like them. I always like to try new things and not all of them will be loved by all, but watching and supporting my channel anyway means a lot. Thanks
@@DesertDIY Thank you for taking the time to say something. I've now subbed to support you futher🙏
Great idea and beautiful tables! I was skeptical at first, but they turned out really beautiful! 😍
Thank you so much Bella
They both turned out beautiful!! Very Creative 😃
I like the beige table
Thank you Jennie
Great job! I’m a beige girl do the beige is my fav
These could be cute little kitchen tables
Both tables came out beautiful. Dixie Belle should sponsor you.
Thank you Patricia! That would be cool!
Beautiful job on both. I'm with your family on the favorite. Love the dark gray.
Absolutely brilliant idea Cory! You scared me at the start coz I thought the particleboard was going to smack you in the face haha
Oh girl for safty lower the blade guard on that skill saw to about 2". Since that compound is self leveling you might try spritzing it with water to get it to smooth out on its own?
It is not the self leveling type of concrete in this application. It is just used to patch uneven surfaces using a spatula or trowel. But spraying with water would help keep it wet while you work with it if you are in a dry climate Thank you for thr tip about the saw.
@@DesertDIY thanks for the reply!
I love these!!! They're super unique and the staging choices enhance them perfectly. I can see them used for a family photo array or a large flower arrangement and just be stunning.
They are very beautiful
Thank you Caroline
Love them both Cory! Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Kim. MERRY CHRISTMAS
Beautiful 😍
Hey Cory!!! They turned out fantastic! I totally can see this being a trend!! Thank you for this awesome step by step tutorial and thank you for hosting this challenge! Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄 ❤️
Love them! That is really cool! I was thinking.. for an outdoor table you could make the concrete a little thinner and press decorative stones into it. You'd probably need a second pair of hands to work faster in case the concert dries fast. I'm definitely keeping this idea in the back of my head. Merry Christmas!!
That's a neat idea! Thank you Laura
