    Excellent restoration on a vintage 1900s Eastlake Entry Dresser or Console Dresser. I should note:
    it most likely originally had antique brass two screw pulls, two per drawer, which is why it had the
    extra holes. You might want to get with the owner, show her some photos from the internet, and
    see if she would want you to replace the crystal ball pulls with brass handle pulls.

    • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson Год назад

      Yes, I agree. Those crystal pulls change the piece and not for the better. Old Eastlake hardware is widely available and not expensive . It's a shame that the light of Trena's beautiful restoration work seems a little dimmed by the wrong pulls. And replacing with the proper pulls would have saved all that angst over the plugs, too.

    • @lorithrower2467

      The reason could be one of a few things….no appreciation for wood, no skill, no money, no imagination, no time, lazy……. I do get your point though. When you watch a video like this, that is exactly what you wonder, WHY?????😅

    • @tuberzish
      @tuberzish Год назад

      In my opinion far too many treasures have been scrapped and replaced with cheap modern schlock. We became a throw-away and move culture that lost its appreciation for history and quality, and now after so much has been lost, we are scrambling to save some of what is left. What is true with furniture is also true with architecture, literature, automobiles, language and many other things. We have made ourselves culturally poorer without realizing what we have done. Thank you Trena for your significant role in preserving our heritage.
