- Trena restores her last exterior door of the season. This one was a doozy. The damage was much worse than expected. Water damage, rot, splitting, decay.
Thank you so much for watching! If you enjoy my video and would like to say thanks you can now buy me a coffee! This will just help me to be supported while I continue to make these videos for everyone to enjoy. Cheers to all my wonderful subscribers! www.buymeacoffee.com/JohnsFur...
I've painted buildings for 40 years, and this young lady is one of the few who understand how to fold sandpaper.
To be honest, when I first saw this door I thought there's no way this door can be salvaged. And yet again, your craftsmanship never ceases to amaze me; what an incredibly beautiful job!!
I love this lady, she is truly a master of her trade. Every time she takes a project I am amazed. Her father passed on a great gift!
My friend frosted the bottom window of her door because her dog was obsessed with squirrels and would bark her head off for hours until they covered her view
Outstanding redo on that door, now everything surrounding it needs some updating. I love that no task seems daunting to you, you just go for it when most of us who really don’t know much about refinishing would have just given up and replaced the door, or whatever project was before us. Respect to you Trena and to your Dad John for teaching you so very well.
If trena can't fix it. It can't be fixed!
I have 6 rescue cats and they are my babies😻they the most unbelievable souls ❤️❤️❤️
Your patience and knowledge is unbelievable!!
Amazing. I would have trashed it but it turned out so nice. You are a master at your craft.
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Cats.
The cat loves you because you have a kind spirit
Beautiful work on what could have been a lost cause. The spit is such a good idea to do this work. Thank you for posting this, as it really helps to know how to approach a difficult restoration on an exterior door.
Wonderful restoration as always. That new door furniture is really cool. I've been folding sandpaper all wrong, thank you.
I learnt how to fold sandpaper from my woodwork teacher at school 60 years ago. It wasn't all about not sticking a chisel through your hand although someone in my class managed that.
I think they had the privacy film on the bottom of the door because they had a yapping dog and wanted to reduce the noise and limit its view.
There is no comment I could make which has not already been made, so I will just sit here and admire your work. I might dare say I could be aspiring to be just like you when I grow up 😘 Much love 💕
Love how Woodsley plays Waldo in Where's Waldo, magically appearing for moments. Remarkable restoration.
Beautiful job to return this door to its former glory. Your skill to patch in those replacement pieces is second to none.
An old carpenter here.. just love watching your videos and you are a true craftswoman! I only want to say one thing about the term that everyone seems to use. There is no such thing as “Dry Rott”, wood rotting is caused by moisture that doesn’t evaporate! So the has rotted, wood doesn’t rott from being dry! 😂😂❤keep up the great work!
Love the new intro, it says it all!! You are a wonderful tribute to your Dad and your Mom, too, with her upholstering efforts
