OMG, Trena! You did a magnificent job restoring this beautiful antique bed. The attention and care you gave to the tiniest details shows your dedication to your job! Thanks!❤🛏
I wanted to say I purchased some Impact votes for Laura. I saw it also supports the American Lung Association and I could not have stayed a non smoker for 16 years without their support and encouragement by the members of their Freedom From Smoking group! I quit the day my lung spontaneously collapsed - great motivator, anyway - and might not be here today if I had not quit.
I love elm furniture! It's such a shame that disease wiped out the species in the. US. Thanks for another incredible restoration. I always learn from you!
Don't know about the voting thing, but I want to give a big shout to whoever sent you that DeWalt hot gun....massive respect whoever you are. Can I have shop dog please JFR ?....I will give you some money...I saw her on the trampoline and she melted me. God bless n peace to ya.
Can you imagine 40 to 50 years from now getting to see this bed again. Maybe it will last for 100 years. Superior crafting and attention to detail. Thank you.
Trena, you are more than a furniture restorer you dear are an artist love to watch you mixing and matching colors I truly believe being a woman you know how something should look
Trena, I continue to stand in awe. Your talents (restoration, repair, filmography) are outstanding. Your honesty and transparency in presenting your efforts come across as genuine. I appreciate that. Keep up the great work! - Phil
This is a stunning transformation, Trena. Your woodworking continues to amaze me as well as your eye for color to create a cohesive all over finish. Exceptional work every time.💜
Beautiful! That last color adjustment (to tone down the yellow) really enhanced the overall look. I like this new look, as it emphasizes the lovely grain of the wood.
3/27/22; oh yes Trenta, another excellent job stripping orange bed frame, head & foot ends. You made new bed/box/mattress side frames, very nice! Exceptional detail work on those 3D leaf 🍃 elements centered on head board & edges of vertical supports...really nice, time consuming work on those accent pieces. Then you spliced-in a new piece replacing a weak mid-span element! Wow! Your carpentry skills are impressive to watch as you so easily performed exacting plunge oscillating cuts, then installed the matching 'filler' piece perfectly fitting without slightest hint of seams ! You do very good work ! 👏 Then 'dabbing' slightly darker stain color on those Leaf Detail elements vs. different, lighter color, but dark, stain on body of headboard & all other components. The finished unit looks 'showroom' new & probably worth many $1000's. Another fantastic job! So, kick back & sip your favorite Eggnog, yup, you earned it...& your loyal viewers don't mind a little white mustache, aye!👩🔧😋👍👍👍😊
In the beginning of this one, I thought you said you were painting this bed. My heart sank, but the customer is always right. But then you started staining and I was like WoW! So glad and it turned out beautiful!! The appliques looked like jewelry on that head board. The grain was perfection! Trena you are amazing! So happy for your friend, thanks for the update!💙💛
Trena- Now thats a bed worthy of sleeping in. I love the wavy desert sand lines in the head board they really are fantastic. Thanks again for sharing, we love you.
You did it again. Made it look totally original with your mixing of colors. I had to notice the beauty in the grain of the two top boards of the headboard, that is so nice. You made a good call by keeping the original leg.
Trena, that bed is absolutely gorgeous. How beautiful would that be in the bedroom with a lovely bedspread or coverlet on it. It's absolutely amazing the beautiful work you do and make magic restoring. Your father was a wonderful teacher and you a awesome student to take that wonderful craft on. Few and far between can do what you do and make it look so beautiful and with such ease. Thank you for sharing.......it's absolutely breathtaking! God bless
Lol trena, you made me laugh when you said oh whatever when that piece broke on you,the air would have been blue with bad language if that happened to me,😂😂 yet another brilliant restoration
Gorgeous hand carved embellishments and highlighted wood finish. Your perseverance, determination and certainly accomplished project and inspiring work. Look forward to seeing your next one. 😊
You give me such pleasure to watch you do your magic! I so appreciate you preserving the history that is incorporated in each piece that you bring back to its original glory.
Great work. This could go straight into an antique shop... To be sold for a hefty price, and a story about it being stored in the attic for 200 years and hardly used. 😁
I really enjoy your attention to detail and the care and consideration you put into each decision you make. You do beautiful work! Thanks for showing it!
hi Trenna, if you're like most contractors you still are working in your seventies. or close to it. as good as you are imagine how good you'll be then.just alittle levity. and i dig your dog ,too.
I hope this project was as much fun to do as it was to watch. It is pure artistry. I am rooting for and voting for Laura every day. Thank you for a wonderful video.
Wow, I started thinking at first that this bed wouldn't be worth kindling to me. But your expertise and craftsmanship are just incredible. What a beautiful restoration. I can only imagine the customer will be thrilled if not already.
this is where you excel Trena.. the work you did on the fleur de le shaped piece shows your integrity to keep the original woodwork procedure..as you say .. you could order .. or buy.. similar.. but you do a proper job .. i have soo much respect for you .. and your work .. you are not only a restorer .. you are an ARTIST xxxx
I'm always amazed at the talent and expertise and patience that goes into your work. Beautiful outcome. Oops on the applique. Reminded me of a day long ago in the shop with my dad when he told me, "A small mistake doesn't kill son." I replied, "No..., but it scolds." He looked at me for a bit then laughed. Lol, the good ol days. I patiently await your next video. GB
This video shows off all your skills: proper deconstruction, various repairs, replacement where indicated, art work, sculpture, stripping, sanding, staining, color toning and finishing. The end product achieving the best possible presentation and is stronger physically than before. No wonder your shop keeps filling up with work! I hope you put a sticker on the end product somewhere showing who did the restoration.
As always Trena you have done a great job watching a master at their work is enjoyable can’t wait to see more as l have said before it would be a great honour to come and work with you but I think it would be a long way for me as l live in the uk 🇬🇧 🤣 stay safe 👏👏
Phenomenal work again Trena! I look at your pieces and think they are perfect, then you state you are going to tint it, and they end up even better! So happy to see beautiful furniture repaired, restored and given new life!
So very skillful in all you do. Impressive that you dive in- cutting, chiseling, nailing etc. when you were staining with that wide brush and using those wispy strokes, I thought I was watching a Bob Ross program. No little trees. 😄 Lol.
Turned out beautiful. Love to watch how you make/do the repair work, adding the missing pieces etc. shows the level of your workmanship and talent you have, always going above and beyond. 😊👏
Watching other furniture repair videos they say that when using PVA you should always put glue on both sides. Are you not using PVA or is there a reason to why you don't put glue on both sides? They also say that you must put pressure to the parts that are glued when using PVA. I don't know, I just like watching and trying to learn before I will start my attempts to salvage (ha ha) some old furniture that I have. Wish me luck! Just noticed that you did put glue and clamped parts of the bed - I made my comment during watching the video. ;-)
Very beautiful bed frame. That grain is gorgeous. Glad you were able to tone out the yellow/orange colour. I never understand why that is so popular. Another great job. 👏
Nice work Trena, love watching you play with furniture. ❤ Dad.
Thanks Dad!
John, if you were a jew, you'd be kvelling.
You’ve done well with her! I’m sure you’re so proud!
Someone taught her well.
Thank you for teaching her and us. Thank you for supporting her...that's a real dad!
OMG, Trena! You did a magnificent job restoring this beautiful antique bed. The attention and care you gave to the tiniest details shows your dedication to your job! Thanks!❤🛏

From Portugal. Fantastic restoration work. Very good. We await new video. A hug and a lot of health

Nicely done!
I was startled at the dirt under the applique. Never suspected! Now I'm suspicious of all my furniture with applique.
It’s always a good idea to check for those hidden surprises! Lol
I wish my Dad was alive to meet you. He would admire you and your talent working with wood and your desire to bring things to another life.
would have loved too.
Never would have thought of cutting a mortise with a reciprocating saw until I watched you do it!! Amazing!
Can you imagine 40 to 50 years from now getting to see this bed again. Maybe it will last for 100 years. Superior crafting and attention to detail. Thank you.
I certainly do enjoy watching you doing these restorations and the attention to detail and colour matching. Thank you 😊.

Just gorgeous. It's a pleasure watching you work, Trena.
Thank you so much!
That bed was no masterpiece when it left the factory, but that you made it so. Nice to see revivals of threatened woods like elm and chestnut.
I worry less about every piece of wood perfectly matching in color. For 37 years I was a varnish guy. You have shown me that lacquer is the way to go.
Once again you teach me the art of patience. your tinting skills are epic. So happy that Laura is doing well. will keep voting for her.
Thank you so much 😀
Great work. This could go straight into an antique shop...
To be sold for a hefty price, and a story about it being stored in the attic for 200 years and hardly used. 😁
The grain on that is stunning! I can’t believe it was covered up with that gross old stain.
Another stunning piece Trena that showcases your craftmanship. Beautiful xx

Such a pleasure to see a master at work! Beautiful finishing and those side rails are perfect!
...love the little engineer's ball-pein hammer...🙂
Repairing the crooked rail seems to have straightened the rail somewhat. Excellent restoration, as usual!
Love your attention to detail .
Holy cow, you’ve given that bed another long, long life, crazy good skills, gorgeous job!
Thank you! 😊
Turned out beautiful. Love to watch how you make/do the repair work, adding the missing pieces etc. shows the level of your workmanship and talent you have, always going above and beyond. 😊👏

So beautiful. Love that it’s no longer orange.
