I suspect Eversolo can obtain even a better price. In the video it mentions that the OP Amp costs twice as much. So assuming that is correct - $2.00 vs. $4.00. Moving to the clocks - the Accusilicon pictured in the video goes for around $18. So not a huge parts cost difference between the two units to warrant a 400 price difference. Eversolo should have just one A6 with the master edition parts. They have higher models - A8 and now A10 for real upgrades. Just MHO.

it's still not Airplay 2 ? So we can't play music at te same time in many room ? With the Node X, I can play music at the same time in multi rooms, on different systems (Marantz, Bose, Nad) in each part of my house
Same DAC chip. Not the most recent ess9039. Q2m is the budget/mobile version. This update is house keeping improvements that should already have been in version 1.
I have an Eversolo DMP-A6 (Gen 1), and I upgraded the power supply to a replacement linear unit and I also updated the op-amps, it transformed the sound, the parts cost around 280USD, the upgraded unit sounds much smoother, without any change in the clarity. I do not use the DAC in the A6, I only use it as a streamer. These upgrades transformed the A6 digital output, USB or TOSlink, super happy.

Are the outputs rca / xlr independent so that 4 speakers can be played simultaneously? Seems like the A10 only needs the multi ch 5.1 out ! It’s a beast especially with the SFP option , subs and independent outputs !
Good question, you choose one over the other, however even if you could it would be hard to match things even with two identical power amps as the XLR signal is 3dB hotter. Better to use a very good Y cable out of the RCA. Thanks for watching

I also have the A6 Gen 1. I am thinking about upgrading to the new LPS to see if the sound improves. The only issue I have with this is I can not get it to work correctly when integrated into Control4. The power on/off features of the C4 drivers does not always work. Some time you can power it on but not off. Once you turn it off with the remote, it will not power back up with the C4 remote. All I would need is power on/off function with C4 remote since I control my music using Roon from my Samsung S9 Ultra tablet. Great Video.

Linear power supply , Arc features more than wellcome. We will see if new devices load song database faster or not. Only few reviewer mention this from gen1 devices.

As a one box solution / lifestyle product its hard to beat. But if you want better sound for the same price then its all about the DAC, the streamer just need to do its job and have an app that isn't frustrating. A Node Nano combined with a good sub $1K DAC (D90 III Discrete, SMSL SU-10 etc) will really outclass the upgraded DMP's for sound.
@ Given the exchange rate between Canada and U.S. …they aren’t as great a deal …but no doubt they are definite improvements over the previous generation.
Still no lfe, no bass management, no i2s, no analog input, still cheap lcd, weak (in this price range) 1bit dac, nothing about lack of DDC (!), and modern impulse power supplies with active suppression are even better than linear ones. Not enough, still overpriced weak offer mostly voodoo type. Stil far, far worse than cheaper competition paired with really good high quality dac. Very disappointing "update".
And wiim despite far lower price has arc, lfe, bass management, analog inputs, DDC, and difference in price can be spent on far better dac than internal 1bit from eversolo. Even can be spent for dedicated physical VUmetters far better in visual effect than virtual ones on lcd screen.
I stopped reading at power supplies. I‘ve never seen a high end HiFi system with an impulse power supply (even if I think the LCD is great). Seems that they are not as good as you think. 😂
These prices are ridiculous! I might as well get a high-end turntable; it'd be a better experience. Even the 'budget' ones are overpriced and they ONLY stream. ~ I might as well get one of those boxy mini PCa w/ a 1TB SSD ($250) and load up my uncompressed iTunes library. (iTunes 10 on WINDOWS since Crapple broke it with v11 and killed it after OS 10.15)

The OP amps affect the analog output, not the digital transport.
You should try listening to the dac in it since you upgraded the opamps. I did that in my Cambridge audio cnx100 and it worked out really well.
