Hey guys, I wanted to be completely transparent about this video because I do see some concerns in the comments section that this was sponsored by Soundcore, and that this was biased. Yes, Soundcore has sponsored this video, which means they provided financial support to make this video possible. However, I want to assure you that the thoughts and opinions expressed in this are entirely my own. Soundcore did have the opportunity to preview this video before it went live - just solely for fact-checking purposes, to ensure accuracy. However, they had no influence on the opinions I shared. Your trust means everything to me, so if you have any questions or concerns about this sponsorship or the content, please feel free to ask in the comments section. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and I'm here to answer any queries. The fact that some of you have questions about this - shows that I need to be clearer about this. I will take note for my future work. As always, thank you for supporting this channel :)
Your video helped me tremendously. The video is marked ‘promoted content’ and you give, in my opinion a very honest comparison (Sony wins in most categories) Moreover, there is no such thing “unbiased” for anyone, but you are very open about your position. Thank you 🙏
I have purchased both and can say: - Soundcore Space One gives you a decent NC and sound quality on a budget, although they are not that comfortable. - Sony XM5 are superior in every aspect, however they cost 4 times more than the Space One and are not 4 times better.
Well made video! One of the more honest reviews of the Soundcore Space One I've seen, while still being sponsored by them. Hats off to you! Keep it up :))
@@sc6the xm5 is like the staple for traveling? like yes ur gonna need anc and transparency mode at home? excepit if you mean hd600 then yea obv they are meant for home usage, they are open back after all xd.
I can totally agree I'm in the process of selling my older Sony WF-1000XM4 just so I can buy these Space One, I'm not happy with my Sennheiser Momentum 4 either so will likely sell them too I spend most my time listen this past 2 months with my Liberty NC 4 its really sad that the Sony and Sennheiser are not make quality sound in my opinion anymore after a month of listen it's dull and not enjoyable. But with Soundcore you get a affordable package and great quality.
thank you for this video, i needed exactly this!! i bought the sony xm5 and had to return them because the noise cancelling was so terrible for me personally. i need very good noise cancelation because loud noises or filtered in noises can really disturb and distract me. i dropped so much on the xm5 and was shocked by how disappointing they were for such a big price tag, so i was considering these since theyre far less expensive and still very cute aesthetic. you gave me motivation to try them out since the noise canceling may be similar or on par in relation to the cost!
Great video, Mindy. I was disappointed in the performance of the Soundcore mic, but I’d still be willing to spend $99 on them based on the other features.
the problem with dual connected devices is that it wont accept LDAC hence the weird lagg you experienced i am pretty sure. It doesnt allow certain modes when using that dual feature of devices.
i consider getting the Space One as my 2nd pair of ANC headphones. I wont give away my BOSE Q35II they even outdates still the best ANC, Comfort and miderange best sound quality on the market. Also affordbale for flagships under 300 bucks. Mine still ok after 3 Years almost daily wearing and sleeping with them on my head. They Lifesavers for every Autistic person.I only have to change the ear cusions every 8-10 months , but they cheap on ebay .
What about the softness of earpads? Do they have like memory foam of smth? The weight of these two are pretty similar, but earpads on Space One looks a bit thin for my liking. Kinda looks like it doesnt have enough foam.
Loved the comparison. Seems genuine as live recordings are shown 👍. Of course nothing can be the Sony headphones, but its a perspective of getting value in return for 399 vs 99... clearly a personal choice.
I purchased both. Although the Sony headphones are objectively better, its not by much. When you take into consideration the price point. I would say that the Soundcore Space One's are the better headphones. If for whatever reason my Soundcore headphones were to get damaged, I could easily afford to replace them. I would be hesitant to pay for a second set of Sony Headphones.
I really like Soundcore buds & headphones. But they obviously sent them out to every RUclips reviewer in existence. I do wonder if the Sony phones were more comfortable - comfort matters.
hmm, for me the Sony headphones were definitely more comfortable overtime but the Space One came close… However, one thing I really didn’t like about the Space One’s build quality is that if you have it on your head - and you brush the headphones slightly - you can hear very clearly a hollow sound and that gets annoying after a while.
Ok.. bought the soundcore.. and had to check my friend who has XM5. Yeah the Sony is definitely better in terms of "SOUND QUALITY" but to be completely honest. I would buy the soundcore over a 400$ Headphones any time. The thing is the FEATURES that the Space One has MORE THAN beats the Sony XM5 by a mile. and as for the Issues 3rd party softwares can BARELY make it good. Worth it in my opinion. specially that head detection is Godsend.
I think it’s okay for hobbyist, or ppl with a budget. But for professional editors, I’d recommend studio monitors, or a better headphone. Also, if comfort matters to you - especially in long edit sessions, you might want to test it out to see if the headband is comfortable to you. I feel a bit of ear fatigue with the soundcore after 3-4hrs
Hmmm… yes I agree with you. If you’re currently using the Q35s - it may feel like a downgrade going to the Space One, because of the storage case. The main upgrades of Space One from Q35s are: 1. Upgraded wearing detection 2. 3 colors instead of 2 3. Lighter weight, sleeker design 4. Comes with adaptive ANC + adjustable transparency mode. If you’re looking for these upgrades, I think the Space One not bad! But you might be sacrificing on build. Space One isn’t soundcore’s flagship headphones but it’s their best ANC headphones under $100. Hope this helps!
The One has Hear-ID and stops playin when put them away from Ears. I have the Q35 too, but with the Hear-ID the One sounds better. I have 2 Pair of the Liberty 3 Pro too, i love that Hear-ID and the HQ-Sound with the LDAC. Apple can't LDAC, so they don't use the full Range of the One
I already got used to Sony's headphones, but I started buying Soundcore's BT speakers rec3ntly, so i really want to try their headphone since they're on sale. Thanks for this
Hi @Watalli - I'm checking with the brand right now - but from what I've checked - it seems to only be available on Soundcore US and Amazon US website :( But I'll update as soon as I hear from Soundcore!
Noice cancellation and battery life match and exceed Bose and Sony for a lot less money however, the sound quality and sound stage is trash, they sound soo damn boxy.
Good review. Obviously the Sonys are in general the superior choice but OF COURSE it has to be. So it's as you say down to the money difference. I wouldn't spend 400usd at least for now, so for me it was either the Soundcore Space One or the Soundpeats Space (tons more battery, a degree of water resistance) but I chose the Soundcores for its niceties like the tap to talk feature (great). The sound was underwhelming at first but with HearID it improved a lot, it's loud (I'd love a bit louder though) and the bass is quite nice. Good product all in all.
Thanks for the kind words and for sharing your experience! 😊 Totally get you on the Sony front-they're like the Rolls Royce of headphones. But when it comes to bang for your buck, the Soundcore Space One is a solid choice. Enjoy your new headphones!
