Soundcore has a big issue - conflicting reviews which you can split into 2 groups: sponsored are unrealistically positive, unsponsored are not that favourable (even really negative). It is really suspicious and looking into Anker history (their Eufy controversy), I don't trust anything they sponsor.

The problem I'm facing is that the people who speak positively about the Soundcores give extremely positive reviews, but there are also an equal number of people, like Flossy Carter and Gymcaddy, who either said they aren't worth the $100 (that they'd be reasonable at $60) or that the Sony 720s are simply the better choice in terms of sound quality. However, when it comes to the Sony 720s, everyone has only positive opinions. So I think I'm going to choose them over the Soundcores. I already have Soundcore Q30 headphones and I'm wearing them right now, so it's not like I hate Soundcore or am biased. It just sucks that I'll never really know which ones are actually better, though, since I'm broke in college. 😂

I was shopping new headphone to replace SoudcoreQ45. The soundcore headband is cheap plastic that recently cracked, although I'm careful handle carefully. I have seen other post some issue, headband breaks on l left side. I'm go I ng for Sony 720N

I had the Edifiers. They are light, sound good and have decent ANC, but the headband breaks easily at the hinge. Search and you will see I am not alone.
I returned an expensive set of Bose because the ANC was so poor.
I have a $45 pair from Boltone that has the best ANC I have found, but a very bass heavy sound. Great for movies, just OK for music.

I have an old Technics receiver Model SA-GX100. What headphone impedance can be used with this receiver? According to the owners manual, the receiver can drive speakers rated from 8 to 16 ohms. I am currently running two 8 ohm floor speakers. I just don't know what headphones will work well with this receiver. Sorry, I am too old to remember the do's and don'ts of headphone selection. Thanks for any help.
