For anyone thinking of giving up and cutting their hair, please keep going, I grew my hair for a year and I just cut it and I really regret it. Starting again though 👍
It’s crazy to see all these guys saying how they want to grow out their hair/they are trying to. It made me remember the early days of beginning my hair growth journey and how much of a love/hate relationship I’ve had with it, but after about a year and a few months I can honestly say I’m so glad I followed through with it. It does take a LONG time to finally feel comfortable but it’s so worth it. To the guys just starting out, keeping going, you won’t regret it!
Same for me but with beard. I was always clean shave as the small hair that grow in beginning looked very ugly on me. I didn’t shave during quarantine and grew a full one and whoever I met after quarantine gave me compliment on how good it was looking.
Dude that was literally me, i was growing my hair out (well sorta), and i got out of the bath one day and was like ya know fuck it, and shaved myself nearly bald....instantly regretted it haha
I'm watching this and it's honestly surprising to me how to him having long hair as a guy has the same benefits that to me having short hair as a girl does - low maintenance, no bad hair days, gives you extra time when getting ready and don't have to worry about what your hair looks like 😂 that's practically why I cut my hair short so it's kinda funny
Yeah I got some of those perks when I had it short as well. But getting a fresh fade for me was high maintenance and adds up. It starts to look off when it starts to grow back and need to keep up with it.
I’ll explain this phenomenon Girls with short hair usually don’t style it with wax or clay or whatsoever and that’s one of the more time-consuming things for guys Guys don’t straighten or do other crazy shit with long hair like girls do, cause we love the chaos Which means that, ironically, the low-maintenance haircuts for guys and girls are the opposite
21 months growth here 👋. Long hair is AWESOME! I have curly hair, so it requires some more maintenance than it would if it wasn’t, BUT it’s still awesome!! So many compliments and I feel confident about myself regarding it. I feel like it also helps me stand out too!
As a woman when you said 2 styles I was thinking "I can do a hundreds of styles" but I guess most of those styles would be considered a "girls" hair style but there is no reason why you can't rough these styles up and make them suit you, how about braiding like a Viking?
Yeah I got long hair and I do a ton of styles. I have a lot of friends that are girls and they will style my hair like theirs aswell. It’s very fun and there’s so much you can do. I guess it just depends on what you look like because I have a more feminine softer face so maybe that’s why it looks better haha
My hair's been long for 5 years, and the biggest advice I can offer you is to just don't give a crap. Not about how it can be annoying when you can't tie it, just slick it back or use some kind of headband. Not about what people might think, and there may be criticism, especially if you're still in mid/highscool (I mean I've grown it in my 1st highschool year). But just don't care, or even make some humour about it. TL;DR : Keep up and don't give a crap about anything.
Hey. I'm also growing out my hair fof 10 months now and I wanted to ask, what you should do against straight, thick hair, that sits like a helmet on your head. I can't style my hair hair, even after shampooing them.
One week away from hitting 19 months of growth! I've decided that I'm going to be attending the Longhairs Great Cut In 2024! Still a while to go but it will all be worth it in the end ;)
I tried to grow my hair out 2 times in 2020. I failed both times because the awkward stage was just too annoying to me. My goal for this year is to finally letting my hair grow out. My front hair reaches my nose already. I hope I will get through the awkward stage this time. Wish me luck guys 😂
I have been growing out my hair for almost one year, it has been a torture, especially considering I am still going through the awkward stage. Managed to tie a man bun, I am somewhat inspired by Samurai hairstyles.
I've been growing my hair for almost a year now, and its not even touching my ears. Damn it feels hard to grow it, when half of people say that it doesn't look good on me, and half that i look better with longer hair. Even though i want to ignore all of it, i always have doubts, but it's just an experience to me, something new and challenging. Hope its worth it in the end.
7months done now and my hair has reached my nose....it depends from person to person...have a good diet...it will help alot and oil ur hair You will look good... don't care about what others say... believe you are handsome
If u wanna grow ur hair faster I have a hack my friend told me that worked for him mix coconut oil and caster oil and massage it to ur scalp daily he said it made a 1 inch difference in 1 week so u can try it if u want maybe it can work for u too but I can't guarantee the results as I haven't tried it myself yet
Once you try having long hair, its too comfortable to go back having short hair. At least for very straight hair like mines. Anytime i had short hair, they were impossible to style without a ton of different products. Long hair just removes the issue
Been on the long hair journey since quarantine started, and found your videos shortly after. Love your positivity and energy, how concise your videos are, the editing and the SECTIONING of the videos is best. Thank you for your efforts!!
I started growing my hair out since February, before which I proudly doned a undercut. It's been 10 months and I am now able to tie my hair up, and I am loving it.
I grew my hair out for a zero fade cut and it definitely took around eighteen months to achieve a full bun. I’ve been on the game for exactly FOUR years now and I still ain’t finished :P hair’s now at the middle of my back. 😂 it takes some amount of determination for sure.
IMO i look better with short hair. and i look ugly rn bcs of long hair, not that long since i just shave bald on October last year to try it out. maybe bcs im in the awkward state rn that it feel i look ugly. dont get me wrong i know im ugly in general lol.
As someone with long hair and who is a bit older, I can confirm all these points and add that I love my long hair. Looks great on all men, of all ages.
I started growing mine around the same time and the best investment was buying a hair holder from Amazon. I use it all the time whenever I don't want my hair getting on my face and it works great.
I'm 50. I've grown my hair out twice in my life, the last time, a coupla years ago..Yeah i'd say each time,it took a coupla years.. To tie back comfortably.. What peed me off though, was washing, and seeing a cave man looking back at me, first thing in the morning! Also, people think yo' a hippy, and you might not be?
I tell you from my experience to grow out long hair. You get more confident because you dont have to worry about looking in the mirror or making your hair .you lose vanity , save money , You get more attractive to woman, You stand out from Other guys because they all look the same. Women look better with longer hair , so does men. They dont look significantly different from us men from facial proportions. There is nothing on earth thats more beautiful than someone who excepts how he or she looks naturally
A quick tip that you could also try is if you are a fan of braids like me, you can get rid of that awkward fase by braiding your hair with extensions which can promote your hair to grow faster and you don't have to cut it or anything.
I have had hair growth over a period of two and a half years. 1 year switching medium and somewhat long then going for a short and then reverting back to 1.5 years of zero haircuts thanks to lockdown for shoulder length hair now. Though i cant manage the volume. Its too much haha
I used to had long hair. It wasn't that long but for a men it was considered pretty long. Was about shoulder height and the feedback was mostly positive in my case I was getting more attention by girls, that would be the main advantage so I think it suited me. I was also getting mistaken by a girl at times and some people would call me gay every now and then but that never bothered me. I decided to have shorter hair once I finished college but my hair grows fast so while I like how it looks with short and medium height styles they don't last too much since my hair grows fast so I lose the shape of the cut. So think I'm going to start growing it again, 18 months doesn't seem that long I like it just below the shoulder so it could take less than that.
hey y'all, I'm not a guy but i have grown my hair out from having a buzzcut (now my hair is down my back). my advice for you guys is to use hats or bandanas during the awkward stage of growing out your hair, trust me they will help a lot. also i just wanted to say, i think that you guys shouldn't limit yourselves, you can have more hairstyles than just wearing it up or leaving it down, you could do braids and experiment.. just saying! - anyway, best of luck to everyone
Less maintenance? I don't think so. I'm bald so I don't even think about hair. I run a razer over it in the shower without thinking every few days to keep my head shiny. Try it out.
for my awkward stage i just undercut the sides and slicked it back unfortunately i also wore glasses and lok was really big so my nickname for the year was bataar jr
How do you keep your hair back. I have roughly the same hair length as you but I have this extremely annoying issue where my hair falls into my face constantly and it’s impossible to have it down without it falling into my face.
I m growing my hair from 1 yrs..(I m not going my sides) and my hair length is just below my lips Question 1)Can I grow my sides from today??or it's too late Question 2)my hair is thick wavy in nature.. should I straighten my hair or keep it natural.. Plzz suggest ur opinion on these two questions 😶
I usually slick my hair back with a fade on back and sides. I also have thick hair. I'm going to grow mine out also. I think cutting the top to match the sides in the beginning will set you back. I don't think the style will look good. Like a bowl cut when its grown same length all around, in awkward state. I'm starting growing mine with 3inch on top and a #3 on sides right now. I'm going for a year of growth, hopefully.
Haha I love how man buns are considered exclusive in USA/UK. In Australia I'd say 95% of men with man buns are tradies that just tie there hair back cause they have no personal grooming and never get trims.
I let it grow for 18 months (it's shoulder length now) and want to share my experience a little bit. I'm very glad i did it, and i liked it, but not more than my short hair. The negatives: It's annoying, it's in your face a lot, when you sleep and sometimes even in my mouth while i'm eating, it's harder to take care of, need special shampoos and conditioners, takes more time to dry, i miss the styling procedure of short hair (using pre-styling and clays) now i just spray it with sea salt spray and i'm done. Got only 2 options, bun or loose. The positives: It makes you look unique, everyone started to call me Hercules or Thor it makes you stand out, it looks good (but that's personal opinion, i did a poll on IG between my short and long hair and it was about 50/50) I'm going to the barber tomorrow and going back to a short style. Why? Just plainly because i'm sick of it and i don't think the positives outweigh the negatives, it does not look better than short hair styles, it just looks different (if you care about women's attention, by study they love short hair more in general). I'm glad i tried it, i encourage you guys to try it at least once in your life. But this was probably the one and only time i have ever done it. God bless you guys and bless your journey.
Idgaf About women I even have plans not even to marry xD I want to grow my hair to stand out different And In Our "asian" Schools There's a annoying rule that Says "girls must have long and boys must have short hair or they will be given fine and punishments" No worries I already Submitted the application and sometimes teachers looks at me and says "you are only here for fashion" Btw in our religion Islam It is a sunnah to have Long hair Cuz Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W friend Sahaba Ikram Had long hair And Also It is a pro for me That It covers your eyes while ya sleeping So it's DARK.
Bro I just wanted to know that when you grew your hair , during the 'awkward' stage ,did your hair start to curl a bit ???? My hair was straight when it was short but then when I started growing it , it started curling in some places (like the bottom back and near the ear)..
If your thinking about cutting your hair, think it over carefully and be sure about it, I grew out my hair for over 4 years and immediately regret it after I cut it and now I’m growing it out again
Yeah I'm at that stage where i can't style my hair there are only two options let them loose or tie a short bun. 9 months of growth and sometimes feel like chopping it off. But your video motivates me to keep it.
I went from short hair like you before growing it to me having it at thr middle of my back in 2and a half year about to cut it tho grows so fast for me
Thanks for the hair videos helped alot grew mine out to like 9 inches ended up cutting it 2 inches and slicked it back its ight cant style it cuz I am complete trash at it I use blue moon blue man that pomade you recommend but it doesn't hold anyways you should make videos on how to dress would really appreciate it (I suck at that to)
I grew my hair out for about 13 months now and I cut the sides I’m now rocking a long undercoat because the hairs on the side was so wavy and so little they wouldn’t glow at all I swear

I look like my asian sisters with My long hair but I just keep it for fun
Bro long hair doesn’t start to look amazing till you get facial hair 💀
I let it grow for 18 months (it's shoulder length now) and want to share my experience a little bit.
I'm very glad i did it, and i liked it, but not more than my short hair.
The negatives: It's annoying, it's in your face a lot, when you sleep and sometimes even in my mouth while i'm eating, it's harder to take care of, need special shampoos and conditioners, takes more time to dry, i miss the styling procedure of short hair (using pre-styling and clays) now i just spray it with sea salt spray and i'm done. Got only 2 options, bun or loose.
The positives: It makes you look unique, everyone started to call me Hercules or Thor it makes you stand out, it looks good (but that's personal opinion, i did a poll on IG between my short and long hair and it was about 50/50)
I'm going to the barber tomorrow and going back to a short style.
Yo Luca you really helped me with the journey and youre one of the most genuine youtubers Ive been able to follow. Cheers man atbh :))
I shaved my head bald during the first few months of quarantine because my hair was "too long". Now I'm growing it out again, wish I hadn't buzzed it!
Better to Start with a buzz cut to grow everything out evenly :)
Long hair hippie here, get ready to spend some money on products
Bro I just wanted to know that when you grew your hair , during the 'awkward' stage ,did your hair start to curl a bit ???? My hair was straight when it was short but then when I started growing it , it started curling in some places (like the bottom back and near the ear)..
beo i currently have the same 'problem'
@@georgiosioannou6464 IKR!! its annoying sometimes

That's What she said
I'm at 15 months! Keep growing everyone!

@@erenjaeger1738 basically like who you made your username after. i look like current eren lol
@@iMac9991 Ngl my hair was growing like Eren but I cut it off but yeah he's my favorite character
@@erenjaeger1738 you gonna start growing again or nah? also how do you like the new season?
@@iMac9991 Yeah my hair is getting longer already so keeping it clean. Yeah i do and i read the manga
Try using some product and go for a slick back
@@cheyenne8735 thanks for the suggestion but its bit longer to try that... My hair length is like luca's hair at 0:50 in the video
@@rishighai12 so then tie it up 😂 less maintenance and use a hair clipper for the baby hairs
@@cheyenne8735 ya I'll try that
I went from short hair like you before growing it to me having it at thr middle of my back in 2and a half year about to cut it tho grows so fast for me
I miss my long hair : (
What's the background music?
I am 15 and I have the longest hair in my family
Only two cons for me is maintenance and it gets messy pretty quickly if your running around too much
Oh my god ur videos are just the most realistic and helpful ones...ure a really informative guy who seems kind..thank you
I feel so blessed, it took me about 4 months to start to tie my hair from a short fade :"
Got my last hair (buzzcut) April 2018 and now my hair is so damn long and it's driving me crazy lol I just want to chop it but I also don't want too
Same with me
Hi Luca you inspired me to grow my hair its at 9inch in almost 9-10 months and im so happy thank you
Still growing strong my guy, the lockdown is confidence booster for me because no one can make fun of me, And i hope your well
Bruh Vice city in the back ground
Thanks for the hair videos helped alot grew mine out to like 9 inches ended up cutting it 2 inches and slicked it back its ight cant style it cuz I am complete trash at it I use blue moon blue man that pomade you recommend but it doesn't hold anyways you should make videos on how to dress would really appreciate it (I suck at that to)
For 2 years I thought your hair would be longer but maybe it’s just wavy so I can tell how long your hair is lol
9 months. Well that's awkward, I need another half a year.
I had to cut after 10 months because of hair fall issues :/
I think that’s normal once your hair gets longer
Advance Merry Christmas, Luca 💛
u kinda look like eren Yeager with a beard
watching this video made me realize i havent had a hair cut since 2019 oh my
I grew my hair out for about 13 months now and I cut the sides I’m now rocking a long undercoat because the hairs on the side was so wavy and so little they wouldn’t glow at all I swear
*_looks like the british version of Moist Critical_*
