Ive got blessed genetics so my hair grows around an inch per month.
I went from a buzz cut (april 2022) to Eren Yeager hairstyle this month (march 2023)
According to me, the best advice to grow out from awkward stage is just let your hair do its thing and not pay much attention to it. Life will go as it is and you won't even know when your hair grew a good length.
Edit- I never did anything 'extera' to my hair, just kept it simple by just using a regular bar soap followed by oiling my scalp.

Finally, I managed my white flakes on the scalp and hairfall.
First, Put on hair oil and leave it overnight or at least 1 hour for it to work.
Step 2: Rinse it out with shampoo.
Step 3: Put on conditioner of your choice to the roots of your hair.
I used littleeextra cococonion anti hair fall kit for these steps as it's gentle and organic, and is considered gud for hair fall control.
If you also have dandruff, put on lemon juice on your scalp at least once a week before shampooing and rinse it out about an hour later.

Some tips that i figured out and that caused me a lot of pain while growing hair for about 10-11 months now (my hair is slightly below the ears, like 19-20cm, and i'm continuing to grow it)
    0. DON'T CUT YOUR HAIR. DON'T DO MAINTENANCE CUTS. It'll only make your "growing hair pain" longer. It's always easier to cut, than grow. Set your hairstyle-goal and only when you have enough length go to your hair stylist.
0.1 actually, you can cut the sides while your top hair is not long enough. When your hair on the top is like 2cm above ears, you must stop cutting it.
    1. if you want your hair straight even in rain or snowy weather, fix your front hair as high as possible with hairpins before leaving the building and hide your hair under the hood, this way it won't fly from under the hood and it won't get any wet and it'll stay straight
    2. When you styling your hair with hairdryer with hot air, blow some cold air as a "finishing move", especially near the parting, it'll kinda "fix" the hairstyle in place.
    3. After you did your hairstyle with hairdryer, stay for 10-15 minutes at home without putting on headphones or anything that could mess up the hair. wait 10 minutes while hair cools down to its natural temperature.
    4. If your front hair curls up, gets oily really early, comparing to other hair, try to use some anti-sweat products on your forehead, for me it caused a lot of pain and a lot of questions like why my front hair got oily and kinda curled while all my other hair was completely straight. It can happen even if you don't notice the sweat
    5. Buy yourself a small pocket comb, to fix your hairstyle after some windy weather or smth like it
    6. if there's any wind outside, the hair will fly all over your face and will constantly be on your eyes, nose and e.t.c (even if it's not that long, like 14-16cm). Don't try to fix it with your hand or comb while on the street, the wind will anyway mess it up but you'll look like some weirdo that tries to get hair out of his face and it gets back on his face back and back again. Just endure before you get into the building. Or use hairpins.
    7. if you see a lot of hairs that kinda get out of the main hair mass, i bet 99.9% is that this is just hairs with different lengths and not split ends.
I don't use any styling products. I use only shampoo, hair mask 1-2 times a week, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner before drying my hair with hairdryer.
I wash my hair every morning (and sometimes twice a day) and always dry it with hairdryer afterwards. And my hair is absolutely fine with no split ends.
My last haircut was in June 2022 (my hair was like 6 cm maybe), and my last side trim was in August 2022
    i hope it'll help somebody

@@DiamondBlade Your roots get oily fast because you wash it everyday. You can try to wash every other day so your hair stop producing too much oil. Depending on your hair type the excess of oil can also be caused by the conditioner. My hair is low porosity and have fine texture, any product with oil make it look dirty much faster. By the way leave in is a kind of styling product.

I only started using hair bands quite late in that stage. Get the metal ones that look like springs. Looks less girly if you are worried about that. @@acexp7k.a679 Hey there, yeah so today it's been 4 months since im growing my hair.
It's going pretty good, Im in the awkward stage right now so my hair look very messy but yeah im not having any huge problem.
Advice? The best advice that i can give you is to accept that for the first 5-6 months, your hair are gonna look bad, acceptance is the key, just mentally prepare yourself for the first 6 months I'd say, that's what I did and this is the reason of why I'm not having any huge problems with my hair right now.
Do not use alot of shampoo, I'd say max to max twice a week, not more than that (I use shampoo once a week). but yes, you can use conditioner regularly.
and most importantly, for the first few months, just control the urge of trimming your hair, it's gonna be hard but it's going to be worth it, that's it.

it actually depends on your hair type
i actually do 100% the opposite of what you have recommended and i have a great hair, and it looks exactly like the one of lio decaprio.
the thing i do is , i never wash my hair more than 2 / 3 times a month, regular washing will kill your hair, and if it doesn't, then the after wash hair dryer will do, and i only do it with less chemical shampoos.
so if you are washing your hair everyday, you will have to use the dryer everyday, 365 times a year.
it will take my hair 15 years to be exposed to the same amount hair dryer heat.
also since i live in MOROCCO i have access to pure argan oil, so i apply it like 2 time a month to my hair
one more thing (i never consume , alcohol / soda / refined sugar / fast food..), and it happens that my country has one of the healthiest cuisines in the wold, like vegetables and fruits everyday.
and i consume a lot of olive oil / olives.
have a healthy diet and you will get a healthy body

      @woock1387 Год назад

@@zaynnn27 hey bro, sorry for the late response. First of all I’d say the most important thing is to learn to embrace your own hair type and stop wishing to have a different one, that’s only gonna burden you. Get experimental with it, try different products, try styling in different ways, maybe even go to the barber and ask for a cut that suits you and that is tailored for growing it out. If you say your hair is very dry (as is mine) focus on nourishing it via conditioners, masks, creams, oils, etc, and try to wash it as less often as possible, since the constant wetting-drying process leaves your hair drier and more dull.

    • @woock1387
      @woock1387 Год назад

@@huntercoleman460 it definitely requires more effort than short hair (if you want a healthy hair, that is), but believe me it’s not a hassle, specially since you end up getting accustomed to the process and it turns into your everyday routine. It might be a hassle at first, before you have the knowledge and experience on how to manage it, but the sooner you put effort into getting to know your hair the sooner that hassle will disappear.
I don’t recall being mistaken for a girl. You’ll eventually get some kind of comment about how you might look feminine or that long hair is not for men or whatsoever. Meaningless words, just ignore them and move on.
And yes, I’d like to donate it when I cut it.

Bald looks good if you have a beard. Or have thick or dark eyebrows. It emphasizes your facial features. Being bald with no beard or if the eyebrows don't look dark enough makes the person look like Voldemort

I always thought I had straight hair until I grew it out, turns out I have wavy / kinda curly hair. I've been growling it out since July of 2021 and for no reason other then I've been too lazy to get a hair cut and don't know what kinda hair cut I wanna get since prier to growing it out I've been getting the same cut since 2013-14 somewhere around there. That awkward stage was not joke, and nobody talks about how hard it is to get used to your hair touching your neck, I'm still not used to it and it still bothers me sometimes.

A guy with eren inspired Long hair here. My head went from bout 1 inch to longer than shoulder length in almost 2 yrs including occassional trims that cut off an inch or two in every 3..4 months....well Imma tell ou the real deal ..Having long hair is actually tuff especially if you have poor hair genes...luckily i dont..but still here are smthings....dont over-stress about it..shaving clean scalp is good but Ill still recommend shampooing only once or maybe twice in a week at max...use conditioner too...and as our hair grow longer you might see more hairfall and its normal chill cauz hal the time its just that youre hair are longer hence they are more noticable when they fall..and the biggest tip ..LISTEN TO YOUR HAIR AND SCALP...DONT STICK TO ANY NORMS..if they feel dry condition em and use serums and oils as frequently as it takes..if they get oily and itchy quick shampoo more requently...i mean you get the gist..and the most important yet obv fact...let them grow and learn to style and rock every phase..get trims in 3..4 months..know as they grow out theyll get more irritating especially in summers and stuff..so know everything b4 you commit but stilll as a man you shud see your hairs full potential atleast once in a lietime...kudos and cheers to your hair journey..kbye

The easiest thing I found out in my late fifties about my own hair care is that hair care need not be so complex. I shaved off all my hair in 2019. Then allowed that to grow back without using any shampoo or conditioner. I used water from our well, sometimes apple cider vinegar, drops of essential oils when washing, hair oils to moisturize the hair, shampoo ginger plant gel from our garden with essential oils for added scent. Then I allowed nature to take it's course. Now my hair is down to my hips and I find it easier than ever before in my life. It was weird going through the grow out phases, but well worth it. I am happy with my hair. The store products and hair dressers, colors, highlights all caused terrible damage, toxicity and cost a helluva lotta money. Glad I am done with all that.

Here's the best way to grow your
    Buzzcut to long hair,
First, Know what your hair type is,
before you cut your onto buzzcut
your first haircut should Be 0.5 all of it, and look for shampoo and conditioner for that specific hair type,
Second, wait for 4-6 weeks and
then cut your hair but only the back
and the side, you should do mid-fade buzzcut, the first layer trim should be 0.5 and the second layer is 1.0
don't cut the top or the front, and then after 3 months cut all of it,
1 for first layer 2 for second layer
4 for the top or front layer repeat the process and then there you go,
Shampoo your hair 2-3 times a week
    But use conditioner every day,
    also everytime you shampoo your
hair put a hairmask onto it leave it for 30 minutes and then go and bath.

After having my dead straight hair grow for the last 7 years and donating over 2 ft of healthy hair I can only give everyone a few tips.
1.Don't give into cosmetics, you just need to cut down on how often you wash it(wait until itchy) this will help deepen the colour and shine of your hair
    2. Avoid damaging styling, this means wear a hat instead of covering it in products or using heat to get the shape you want.
    3. Brush daily if you have to but I avoided it and got more volume in your roots, by brushing my hair in the opposite direction than I tie it up, then just leave it until you need to brush again. Whenever you take your hair down everyone will be jealous
Basically, give up caring about how it looks by hiding it from yourself and eventually you will realise that it's long already.
You'll save money on trips to the barbers and not rely on looking good to others to feel good yourself
