@@WiFi-qj5kr Ehhh idk it really depends on the person, I you ask me I look cooler with short hair but horrible with long hair but that dosen't mean that you should hate long hair but It's not for everyone.
I had long hair for ten years then I cut it short. Afterwards I was never happy with it and felt I’d lost my individuality. I’m now growing it back and couldn’t be more excited!
@One Man ye, I guess to each his own, I'm currently growing my hair, just for the sake of giving it a try at least once in my life, I would say they look decent on me, maybe I'll cut them soon or leave them on long term (50/50), still not sure what to do at all. Any advice?
Using that logic...Ball gags are not for everyone, but thats exactly why it is for some. :). Logic dictates that if something is right once it is right all the time and if it is wrong once it is wrong all the time. Even G.I. Jane knew she had to shave her head if she wanted to be high speed. :)
Definitely, long hair is not for everyone. Some people have very curly hair and it does not compliment their face features. Also some people work at jobs and they are not allowed to have long hair for example 'the army, marine's,medical department etc.
@Nuclear Muscle yea good point, I think it's because most women can't live with long hair, they'd rather look for another job instead of cutting their hair, while most men don't like long hair and don't care much really and yea idk lol
Two answers here. 1. Travis gave the best argument by talking about confidence. Ultimately, how you wear your hair is down to you. When I was younger I had great fun wearing my hair long. I'm having great fun wearing it short now I'm older. 2. You both won as you respected each other's opinion and clearly enjoyed learning from the other. Edit: I forgot to mention that although Travis suits long hair it "weakens" his shoulders. Antonio has broad shoulders and his haircut emphasized that.

One of the great discussion about short hairs and long hairs.Long hairs are best, if you know how to take care of your hairs. If you are careless men then get short hair.
it's not about being careless..Saying careless men have short hair is SO ignorant and not true at all..a guy with long hair can be just as careless. Short hair means less problems with it, but you can't say short haired men are careless.
I think you misunderstood what was said here. From your comment it seems you think OP said only careless people get their hair longer, while what OP is really saying is that if you're gonna be careless with your long hair, you better get it short. So "careless people are recommended to NOT get long hair" as opposed to "long hair is a thing for careless people".
@@alentjanestetico3014 As we all know long hair needs care and time. If you gave that care and time then only, you go for long hairs. Otherwise, it would be a bush. Instead of bush get short hair and rocks
When Antonio raises his opinion/point about short hair, I feel excited to hear Travis's reply. Travis flips the perspective so smoothly and so comfortable. I love it when the discussion is so conflicted and supportive at the same time
Had both...I was told short hair gave me a severe, serious look while it works but downside was that I seemed unapproachable. Long hair... equalled laid back and approachable ... Based on what you need.
I had long hair throughout highschool and I was considered intinidating and not very approachable. it can give a laid-back appearance, but the longer it gets, the more obvious it is you don't give a shit how other people would prefer you to style your hair. people react to this kind of commitment and confidence in different ways including fear
Depends a lot on the man, both his features and what he’s comfortable with. Some will just look better in one style over another based on their facial features and build. If they can’t bear their hairstyle comfortably it also detracts from their confidence. I would say though that everyone should try to grow it out at least one time to see how they like it, cause you don’t know ‘til you try.
Adding my perspective re: individuality (because afro hair is very different). With short hair, we've got the various fade styles. That's pretty much it. It lasts a few weeks until you get another haircut. With longer hair, we have shaped Afros, braids, or dreadlocks. Oftentimes combined with a fade along the sides and back. It is a bit harder to maintain, but edges out short hair with the sheer versatility.
Only fade styles? are ya kidding mate? I love both long and short hair, but short hair definitely equals a lot more than the fade styles! Just travel to South korea or Japan and you'll see how they have 1000 different cuts & styles of short & medium hair, some with fades and some without it, the combinations in how you can cut and style short hair have literally no limits today. You can get extremely individual if you go to a professional stylist and ask her for some specific styles. But yes, I have right now short hair and I have to cut it every 2 months to keep the same style, it's not that a big hussle tho, when I had long hair I had to go and thin and fix it as well because it always got so big and frizzy after a while lol.
Yes! I'm Latino with Afro hair and man let me tell you I have only 1 haircut that looks good! then when it grows a bit its uglyyyy! I'm letting it grow and have braids now and wow I'm a totally different person and the way I look at myself as well for other is very different, in a positive way
What I like about this piece is you both provided enough reasons for one to go whether for long or short without disregarding the other style, which is also neat.
Long hair on men is so sexy! Plus you look intriguing, a bit mysterious and confidently mature. A short cut can make you look a little bit like a young boy (at least in my opinion) and also you’ll fade into the background. Grow it out guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do love long hair cause its much more masculine, due to the history, cause theres no professional barbershops those days, but sadly, colleges here and even on some jobs prohibits it, so disappointing, I hope the community can accept guys with long hair in the future, especially with this covid thing going on🇵🇭
It’s my first time getting my hair grow and I was about getting a hair cut because I’m at the awkward stage but hearing what Travis said just give me patience to reach my goal… thank you guys.
Antonio, you gotta try long hair. Like this isn't a suggestion or anything, its a dare. I challenge you to attempt to grow out your hair for a few months. Beard included!
The summary of this video is, short hair has more versatility in terms of maintenance, professionalism, attraction, etc. However, some guys can look good with long hair and I believe the whole reason Travis started his RUclips channel was to shout out to his long haired brothers and show how to maintain and style long hair properly so that you can accomplish being attractive and professional just as well as any guy with short hair. BOOM! 💥
As someone who used to have short but now has it long, I hated having to style my hair every morning or everytime I go out because if a few strands of hair just did not comply with my product then it would look very off. Now all I have to do is comb, part it and that's it. So liberating
I have long hair for 16 years now, and I agree to everything Travis said, especially about the maintenance things. I didn't spent a penny for barber for 16 years. I wash my hair 2 to 3 times a week. I brushed them once a day in the morning. And I can also play with many styles and changing them several times in a single day. I can keep them loose, I can tie them with one band or two bands. I can bear them as a tail or over the shoulder, or even keep them inside my shirt. My long hair also keep me warm in cool days, and cool on hot summer days. They also protect me against these annoying flies that arras you in summer. Also, the look long hair give me fit better with my shape, wich is rather thin. I look better with long hair than when I was with short hair. So for me, getting a long hair have been a game changer for how I look to other peoples.
I think long hair can camouflage certain imperfections, some of us weren't born with the perfect shaped face/head short hair would be for guys with the perfect chin and jaw
@@Sdfghjk442 Good for you to know my life better than me. Both men and women love my hair, have told me and shown me such. Also, while attention doesn't equal attractiveness, it certainly makes you stand out when every other guy in the club has the same haircut.
@@Sdfghjk442 I’m late to respond to this but you have to realize that some women look for a man who looks different from the rest of the pack, some prefer the reserved clean cut look and others prefer men who give off a bit more a majestic feeling. I asked my gf about how she felt about this and she stated that she loves long hair on guys and she’s always been attracted to it hence why she chose me out of most of the other guys on campus that look “socially normal”. But there’s also plenty of women who would (and have) taken a look at my long hair and felt absolutely nothing afterwards because they aren’t attracted to it. As the guy in this video stated “women who are attracted to men with long hair, REAALLY love it” they’re obsessed with it but the women who don’t like long hair on men tend to be disgusted when they encounter a man who has it. It varies depending on the women, there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to this topic.
Great debate on both ends. Listened to each other's points and made statements to support their own perspective. I'm growing my hair out now, about 4 months.
I'm disabled and retired. I don't always have the ability to cut my hair or shave so I'm finding that long hair and full beard makes it easier to be presentable on my bad days. Also I was complimented by a rather attractive lady yesterday on how my hair is growing out.
The hardest thing about long hair is the growing pains that take in the beginning. I've tried many times, it's the eyebrows to shoulder is the hardest/ ugliest part...but I appreciate both very much
try consider it a bridge to the other side. i know it sounds weird, but practice not giving a fuck for 4 to 6 months and youll be on the other side. every longhair has to go through it and thats where I believe the confidence comes in. Battling your own self-image while your friends/family ridicule or ask "what are you doing with your hair" or trying to convince you to cut it. Say fuck em and go for your look. Thats confidence.
@@Sapioso I've been fighting the awkward stage. Last hair cut was~ September last year. I've learned the confidence side of it, but it feels like it will be another~5 months until I'm ok with the hair. I'm holding it strong. At least 1 year before a light clean up, and goal is 2 years without any considerable cut/ styling
Yes! I love how Travis is breaking the norm of guys having short hair. I hate how there is sort of this expectation of guys to have short hair just because most guys have short hair. Furthermore, I find that a lot of people will do certain things, or act certain ways just because the masses are doing these things so that they “fit in” with society. Be your own individual. If you like long hair, grow your hair out, & don’t let anyone tell you that you should cut it. Stand firm, blaze your own trail, & keep being awesome.
Yeah. That happened to me recently. A lady came up to me at the bar and asked how get my curls so defined. I think I spend 15 minutes walking her through my routine, she even wrote some of the stuff down on her phone 😂
@@spokeshave5415 nope 😂 the products I use are homemade leave-in conditioner, curl defining cream and argan oil. There are more to it, this is just the products
Great time for this debate. I’m growing out my hair now since lockdown, and it’s probably a consideration for a lot of men. I’d say with short hair I have to use a product to control it, and as hair gets longer, it’s weight takes it and just drying your hair and being done can take the same time as a quick dry of short hair plus the time to add product and style. 🤷🏻♂️
I respect how Travis explains and respect short hair opinion at the same time. This explains though points are valid but how you behave is most important. In case of professionalism, I see people as MD and SVP of big Fortune 500 having long hair / pony.
Longer hair is not for everyone to keep, but for everyone to try at least once. Mine reached my shoulders when I was 19; maintenance was actually really simple and easy, since it was cut very straight. Nowadays, it’s only that easy if I cut it really short. It depends on your hair itself, or face shape, your facial features. Tom Cruise looks much better with his longer locks in The Last Samurai and Mission Impossible 2; Idris Elba became a much more interesting and good looking Heimdall in Thor 3. Also, just take a look at Viggo Mortensen, who can’t be said to be a handsome man, and his Aragorn.
I'm 60 and have 23in long hair. I cannot believe the amount of people that come up to me and say how great it looks. I have no gray head hair, but my mustache and goatee is gray and brown. So, people initially think I color my hair, but I don't. Long hair is so fun.
As someone who has both.. Long hair in high school and early twenties.. And sorry hair ever since..I have to give my vote to short hair. Much easier to take care of and much neater.
What is looking like a man. A well braided Viking at one point in history was the most masculine thing around. I would say the law of averages applies. What is the average of the time will be the most appealing. These days it is short to medium hair. At some points it was longer (see Viking, some gaelic tribes, and the RN around the 1700s)
I am obviously biased since I'm a man with even longer hair than what Travis had when this video was filmed (if he kept growing it, it's probably longer than mine, but that's besides the point), but he really hit the nail on the head with his arguments for long hair. Most, if not all of them are the same ones I'd use in a discussion myself. I'll chip in some of my own notable experiences growing it out: -When I made the decision to grow my hair out, I was struggling a lot with my mental health. Now, obviously my hair didn't singlehandedly cure those issues, but growing it out and gradually getting compliments for it as its shape settled gave me a source of self confidence I really needed. A big part of that was simply that it was *my* choice to do so, and that I wasn't just cutting it short for my mother or the rest of society. Looking back, I definitely didn't look bad with short hair the last year or so before I grew it out, but mental health issues skew such things out of proportion. -I spent arguably longer styling my short hair than my long hair. I quit hairwax styles after a month because it took me 15 minutes every morning just to get my hair to agree, and even then it would just fall down halfway through the day anyway. A lot of the time when I woke up, I would get little bits of hair that would stick out in random directions (antennae, as I like to call them), which would take some time and frustration to fix. On most days nowadays, all I really need to do is to spend a few minutes at most brushing it before it's good to go. Sure, showering takes a little bit longer (my average if I wash my hair is around 10-15 minutes), and fully airdrying does admittedly take a few hours, but I personally never enjoyed showering even with short hair, so I don't really see that as a big loss. -I get noticed and recognized more. As mentioned, I didn't look *bad* the last year or so of having short hair, but I also looked like literally any other guy. On the streets, in the school hallways, I could've been anyone. Having among the longer hair of most guys I see (and many women too) makes for an iconic look that I personally enjoy. My basic tip for anyone wanting to grow their hair out is to get it trimmed regularly. I personally go to the hairdresser every 3-4 months because I still want it longer, and thus I want to minimize the amount of split ends etc they have to take each time. If you're content with how long it is, Travis' schedule is pretty alright. This also makes it a bit easier to grow into a shape that isn't too messy. And yes, it will look horrible the first few months when it's too long to be short and too short to be long, but keep at it! It'll be worth the wait! Oh - and conditioner: use it
If your head has always seemed seperate from your body, do consider long hair. It was the look I never knew I needed. When I hit my teens, my head, face, and neck looked dorky. When I grew my hair out (and don't tie it up), my head and neck seemed fuller, my forehead seemed rounder and perhaps flatter, my jawline looked slightly better, and my features softened. But now that I've grown a beard and my face no longer looks nerdy and premature, I consider short hair once again because my hair tangle frequently.
@Quinn Brophy go for it bud 😁 if you don't like it, you can always cut it 😛 I don't think you'll want to though, I get a lot of compliments on mine, women love it, gets me a lot of positive attention.
There are definitely a lot of factors that come into play but if you have the face for it and you take care of your hair, which, as someone who's always had long hair with the occasional short hair periods, is not as much as you might think; long hair is the best option! Plus, there's some added confidence and badass-ness about wearing a suit and long hair, it's a "I'm confident, stylish and have a strong personality" kind of statement
I grew my hair to help me get connected with my culture and it really helped me out and made me feel better about myself. The business thing is that if they judge you just on your hair and not your strengths then they are in the wrong, they must change their mindset and not think negatively of someone because of your culture or heritage.
Talking about long hair basically the person has to look good with the long hair for example Jason Momoa his long hair is what idolizes him as an actor and plus you look more intimidating/mysterious when you put long hair and a muscular body together. To me long hair gets the win
I served in the Air Force, Worked in Corporate, really just kept the short clean look all my life and always loved my styles. However I grew my hair out and the longer it got, the more self love I had to learn to maintain it. I keep it braided for the most part but my hair is heathy, I always keep my sides trimmed and hair line crisp. I have noticed women that didn’t like it (mostly conservative types) however it gave me a undenial sex appeal that brings me women who also have major sex appeal along with a younger, fun type of energy. With my hair being past my shoulders I definitely stand out when I’m in the room but the attention and confidence I get from having it. I wouldn’t trade long hair for any short hair style. Not to mention when you have long hair but you keep it up, add some swag to it… girls go crazy!
I'm going with long hair. I currently have short hair, but as a university student going for my doctorate, I decided to let my hair grow. It'll save my money going to cut my hair but most of all, all that time doesn't going to the barber, waiting for my turn/cut, going home to shower... By growing it out all that time can be productivity saved.
I've always kept short hair because it's easier to upkeep and I am able to keep it manageable. In addition, I have a square/round face depending on my weight management. Short hair works best for me. :-D
Video comes at the right time! I have an appointment tomorrow to cut my long hair. I have been rocking the long hairs for two years, but the morning struggles were too much for me.
@R N lol I am back to short hair now! It's great, however: it's very expensive to have it regularly cut, and it needs to be washed every second day, which is a pain as well. I am still looking for a good hair product too - some clay that doesn't rip my hair off while styling.
@Mine Cart go on bro I'm telling u you'll feel amazing with em in the beginning it might be little uncomfortable but later on you'll say dis is real me dis is my real look bold and confident 👍
I certainly agree with many more points that Antonio made regarding short hair but Travis is correct with the uniqueness of a guy having long hair considering how it’s very few and far between guys with long hair versus short hair. During this pandemic I’ve been growing out my hair (11 months now) and I have to say I’ve had so many compliments from women saying they love the long hair.
So, for attraction, I think a girl would want a Long Haired Thor or Achilles over a Short Haired Caesar or Napoleon. Physical Attraction-ally speaking.
It depends on how aggressive she likes her guys. Some girls go nuts over guys with high-and-tights (thats a "military fade" for you civilians, lol) or even regulation mustaches. The combination of both makes you look like you are about to go into battle and some women love that.
yeah, despite their martial prowess, their short hair due to military tradition (so soldiers look and feel uniform) makes them look much less physically imposing and way too boyish for their historical action lol
Since my hair is rapidly falling out, long hair on me will eventually turn into a Skullet. It looks like I'm keeping my COVID cut after the crisis ends.
Long hair can look just as good if you're creative enough. Choosing or coming up with a good style that isn't just having flat long hair is what actually makes it look good. This is the reason women get bangs.

I've had short hair till this April (I'm 19, currently in Malaysia gonna study in the US soon). Now I'm growing out my hair, for a few reasons 1) challenge my discipline and patience 2) new goal, trying something new and different to the my location's status quo 3) learning something new 4) see how this affects my confidence. Love your video Antonio, Semper Fi.
I’m going to have to agree with Travis I really like my long hair it’s smells great all the time and women love it and I think every person should grow there hair out long at least once instead of having a boring short hair cut all there life’s Great video loved the pros and cons and debate 👍🏻
I am a Marine Veteran myself and I wear long hair for the attraction value alone. I do not care for the upkeep involved yet but I am still learning. It does take less sessions but those sessionss of cleansing are more in-depth and intense requiring a greater knowledge in order to perform the cleansing correctly. I would love to see a video series on the correct ways to do so. I have learned many ways so far to retain my hair while simply brushing it out. I do it in stages. I first run my hands through it. Next I brush it with a detangling brush and then finish with a slicking/smoothing brush. I keep it in a low gathered ponytail most of the time but take it down on the nights I am out looking etc. There is also the hybrid cut. By this I mean you can keep the top as long as you like while tucking it up under a hat during the day. The sides will show a professional shorter cut while the top is under the hat. I worked with a man for 6 months one time before I ran into him in a nightclub with his hair down and hat off. I never would have known otherwise. I also would like to address a point you made in this video about Chesty Puller. He was required to keep his hair short as well as many other service men depending on the era and location they were in. Sorry about the kinks in your points I threw your way Marine but I know you have the backbone required to handle it. Sempre Fidelis my brother! Food for thought. 🤔
I agree with Travis’ point lol. I’m like the only long haired guy I’ve seen yet and stand out a hell lot more 🤣🤣🤣 Me and one other guy are the only long haired guys in my entire school. While short hair gives you more styling options, those styles tend to look overused cuz 99% of all guys I know have these same hairstyles. Back I used to have short hair my hair was generic. No one ever noticed me. Now that I have long hair, I’m often the odd one out lol. People tend to stare at me in the bus/train and all the girls at my school stare at me and the other guy like they saw a spider or something lmao
It just comes down to if you look better with longer or shorter hair. What kind of hair style is the best compliment to your personality and to your life journey.
I'd say you're going into the "long" territory around the time your bangs pass your chin so maybe the 6-8" average length area. The experience of growing your hair through your face is rough to say the least. My experience agrees with Travis' point on Care & Maintenance, I definitely started considering how to properly take care of my hair far more after I grew it out. It wouldn't be hard to find a quote about the experience and growth of facing adversity, and long hair in some parts of the country will definitely get you used to facing adversity head on and standing your ground. I prefer my hair long, but as with most things, I think everyone needs to try long hair/beard at some point just for the experience.
I think this is based on you, your profession or what you want to do for a living. There are some professions where guys having long hair is not acceptable. This is a difficult decision to make for a lot of guys, because of stereotypes and people’s personal basis. Pick what works for you!!!
i think the comment section has spoken for itself , longer hair is more manly on most men is more edgy promote more free willed ,people to approach you i agree its less professional ,is more maintenance, is not for everyone but if r a person who can rock long hair ,ill make u look like all the indian ,chinese ,ezyptian ,rulers and kings ,men with great power i think that is the catch for me ,power and confidence
I started growing my hair at 15, and I kept it long for 30 years. When I was young, I joked that when I go bald, I'll just keep growing it. A friend's dad told me "Don't do that! You'll look like a goddamn freak!" Then, 30 years late,r I saw a picture of me from behind, and that bald spot forming...and he was right! These days I actually enjoy coming out of the barber shop with a fresh cut and a clean shave. Only complaint is, when you wear your hair short...you have to maintain it. I used to be able to hit the barber once or twice a year, just to clean up split ends, but now I'm there about once a month. Feels strange to have someone I refer to as MY barber lol I think long hair is great when you're young, but when you get older, it's hard to look really "sharp" with long hair.
For a lot of Anthony’s points I think the response to them is “why would I want…” If a job won’t hire me because of my hair length, why would I want to work there. If a person wouldn’t date me because of my hair length, why would I want to date them. If someone wants to call me a dirty hippie just because of my hair, why would I want to do conduct business with them
hmmm... So I started growing my hair 2 years ago for the first time and always having short hair before. I can agree to many points both sides here but can definitely say that long hair does suit some dudes better. Myself I am also tanned skin dark hair and tried going for a Jason Momoa style and yeah many women prefer me with long hair. I exercise 6 days a week and also do powerlifting and that and going hunting is actually the only real place/activites that it is really annoying. But I do prefer long hair but there are times where I do miss the ease of having short hair. EDIT: Oh and my example of warrior with long hair was originally Samson from the Bible, being a Christian it kind of stands out for me.
As a longhaired guy I love it and could never go back to short hair. Sure, there are some short hair styles that look good, but I find that I look younger with the long hair. There's also a lot of versatility and you can change your style from day to day by simply braiding it or putting it into a ponytail, etc. The key thing to being respected in society is maintaining your hair (long or short) and appearance.
My observation lead me to the conclusion that somewhat older women (in Europe, anyway) prefer longer hair in men (provided the hair are thick enough and the men in question are mature), while lasses prefer short hair - or whatever's popular at the moment.
SteeHari !!! - You can't do it now, because of Covid 19, but if you were at a big crowd event or just walking around New York City of where you see so many people at the same time, and count the number of long hair among men you see, it would be 1 in every 100. Not popular anymore.
Antonio made some points about your job. There are certain jobs that usually require you to have short hair (soldier, police, firefighter, PMC, etc) Also, it will be very difficult to have long hair for a lawyer, airline pilot, business, sales, doctor, professor, real-estate etc. A lot of blue-collar work won't be doable with long hair either, imagine a carpenter or plumber with long hair. So, many of us won't even be able to make that choice. I wonder if guys that want long hair actually plan out their careers around the fact.
In my opinion, about 90 percent depends on which country you are in, for example, I am from Uzbekistan and in our culture only women can have long hair, and a man should never wear long hair because men with long hair are considered gay. Because of this, it is impossible to find good protection, styling and products for long hair for men in our country. I think that everyone has the right to wear long hair and it only depends on the style and lifestyle and how he takes care of his hair. Watching your videos for 2 years. First I watched your videos on RMRS Russian. Recently followed you on Instagram and from there on Travis. Thank you both for the awesome videos. And a special thank you very much, you changed my life man. GREETINGS TO YOU FROM UZBEKISTAN!
I got so many bad haircuts as a kid, I just went long hair for most of my teens. After being in the Navy, my hairline got so destroyed I couldn't really keep my hair long and look good. So I begrudgingly keep it short...for now
I have had long hair for 7 years now and many times i have thought of having it cut short again. I grew it because i have always loved 60's and 70's music and culture. I used to shave my head during my 20's Problem with long hair is the hygiene, it gets absolutely everywhere, its harder to get it to look good when its past shoulders. It looks daft when wearing some smart clothing such as a suite with it down. My hair gets so much more greasy because i have to brush it a lot. Im done with my long hair. Long hair looks great only when its above shoulders. Way past shoulders no. Im going with the short back & sides long on top look combed up using wax. I might get creative with some dark orange and black dye.
I'm 61. My hair is the same color now as it was when I was younger. It has natural blonde streaks. But, my facial hair grows in gray. So, people think I color my hair, but I don't. Thats the biggest challenge. My hair is 21in long and I get so many looks. My hair is straight and my bangs are the same length as the back. Women follow me to the shampoo aisle to see what I buy. Actually, I get more comments from men 5bat say, "I wish I could grow my hair like that." Its fun actually. I really get a kick out of when guts walk up from behind me thinking I'm a girl, then when I turn around... I had short hair my whole career. Now that it's grown out, it just looks far better. I actually see my female friends wearing my hair style. Oh, and I wash my hair daily. It does not get dried out. I do use olive oil once each week and let it soak in.
Shorter hair: valid points
Longer hair: valid points _but cooler_
Best comment!
This basically sums up the entire video! 😂
Short hair looks smarter
shorter hair: conventional, practical, you fit in with businessmen, you are judged less, less work to maintain it
longer hair: individual, creative and symbolic, you stand out, mysterious and cool, you are better at maintaining it

Long hair is NOT for everyone, and that’s exactly the reason why it IS for some.
Great, man!
Nuclear Muscle It’s the military who cares if people are allowed short or long hair?
Thanks for your input Patrick!

When Antonio raises his opinion/point about short hair, I feel excited to hear Travis's reply. Travis flips the perspective so smoothly and so comfortable. I love it when the discussion is so conflicted and supportive at the same time
Exactly cuz long hair is more exciting
Had both...I was told short hair gave me a severe, serious look while it works but downside was that I seemed unapproachable. Long hair... equalled laid back and approachable ... Based on what you need.
I had long hair throughout highschool and I was considered intinidating and not very approachable. it can give a laid-back appearance, but the longer it gets, the more obvious it is you don't give a shit how other people would prefer you to style your hair. people react to this kind of commitment and confidence in different ways including fear
@@ringotheflamingo6900really that’s crazy I thought the longer it gets the more feminine you look and by feminine I mean not intimidating

But yes, I have right now short hair and I have to cut it every 2 months to keep the same style, it's not that a big hussle tho, when I had long hair I had to go and thin and fix it as well because it always got so big and frizzy after a while lol.
exactly, I hate that my short hair looks so good in the first 2 weeks and then after a month approximately it looks like shit
Not hard to maintain fades with longer hair due cause the cut stays longer compared to cutting your hair short

BOOM! 💥
Exactly its 2 totally different styles.
As someone who used to have short but now has it long, I hated having to style my hair every morning or everytime I go out because if a few strands of hair just did not comply with my product then it would look very off. Now all I have to do is comb, part it and that's it. So liberating
As long as you're comfortable in how you look, and who you are as a man, I do not think it matters if you wear short hair, or long hair.
What does your girlfriend say about that? Is she envious?
I had long hair several times in my life but for the most part I’ve had short hair. Antonio just convinced me to grow my hair long again lol.
I think long hair can camouflage certain imperfections, some of us weren't born with the perfect shaped face/head short hair would be for guys with the perfect chin and jaw
The amount of attention I get for my long curly hair on a night out though. It's definitely one of my defining physical features.
@@Sdfghjk442 Good for you to know my life better than me. Both men and women love my hair, have told me and shown me such. Also, while attention doesn't equal attractiveness, it certainly makes you stand out when every other guy in the club has the same haircut.
@@Sdfghjk442 Also a 6"3 woman can be incredibly attractive. Height has little to do with it. Seems like your projecting a bit there my friend.
Napoleon when he was young had long hair too.
just to add, an actual live conversation in comparison video format is just peak creativity

One of the greatest videos of all time about long hair. Thank you very much, Travis.

Nice video! My curly hair is on my shoulders now. Is hard to maintain, but I love it.

At some points it was longer (see Viking, some gaelic tribes, and the RN around the 1700s)
still* the most masculine thing around 💪
Tbh the most masculine men I've seen in my life had long hair, it's more natural
I'll chip in some of my own notable experiences growing it out:
-When I made the decision to grow my hair out, I was struggling a lot with my mental health.

Great video with good content. Not a 5 minute video with a 3 minute ad fashion youtubers make nowdays. Goodjob Antonio and Travis.
@ bro I’ll never go back to short hair! Been 4 years now and I can’t see me any other way now! Go for it!!
The time you save by not going to the barber will be taken by hair showering.
But it's worth it. :)

It's true that most women would like short hair on males but who cares
Not every man can style a long hair like Travis. He looks stunning and presentable in a formal occasion. But for most men, short hair is recommended.

I prefer long hair all the way
I am a Marine Veteran myself and I wear long hair for the attraction value alone.
Speaking of professionalism, I think of Patrick Bateman. Pretty long hair but very clean and tidy. 💪
That's a great work there. This is a little bit different. I can sense hard work and poise you put into this one. You've nailed it again Antonio.
I agree with Travis’ point lol. I’m like the only long haired guy I’ve seen yet and stand out a hell lot more 🤣🤣🤣
Me and one other guy are the only long haired guys in my entire school.
Great video guys!! I’ve been deciding whether to grow it out or not and this vid helped a lot!
Glad I could help!
I think this is based on you, your profession or what you want to do for a living. There are some professions where guys having long hair is not acceptable. This is a difficult decision to make for a lot of guys, because of stereotypes and people’s personal basis. Pick what works for you!!!
I like both but I like long hair the most
i think the comment section has spoken for itself ,
longer hair is more manly on most men
is more edgy
promote more free willed ,people to approach you
i agree its less professional ,is more maintenance, is not for everyone
but if r a person who can rock long hair ,ill make u look like all the indian ,chinese ,ezyptian ,rulers and kings ,men with great power
i think that is the catch for me ,power and confidence
Because in quarantine i am growing my hair out, to my surprise i love it.
Same with every guy out there.
@@RealMenRealStyle you are a role model for me
@@RealMenRealStyle Never been a better time for men to try out long hair.
If someone wants to call me a dirty hippie just because of my hair, why would I want to do conduct business with them
good point
Great video guys. I had short hair most of my professional career. 2021 I’m in process of growing my hear out.
Both looks great
It also depends on culture and religion
SteeHari !!! - You can't do it now, because of Covid 19, but if you were at a big crowd event or just walking around New York City of where you see so many people at the same time, and count the number of long hair among men you see, it would be 1 in every 100. Not popular anymore.
Mmm I do have long hair
But when I look around I only see women have long hair
Hi, in Colombia, anything that is not a militar cut, buzz cut, etc, is considered long hair.
Long or short, keep it looking good. That way, you're gonna look like a million bucks.
Antonio made some points about your job. There are certain jobs that usually require you to have short hair (soldier, police, firefighter, PMC, etc)
Also, it will be very difficult to have long hair for a lawyer, airline pilot, business, sales, doctor, professor, real-estate etc.
A lot of blue-collar work won't be doable with long hair either, imagine a carpenter or plumber with long hair.
So, many of us won't even be able to make that choice. I wonder if guys that want long hair actually plan out their careers around the fact.

I just fell that when you have long hair you fell you are free
I used to shave my head during my 20's
Problem with long hair is the hygiene, it gets absolutely everywhere, its harder to get it to look good when
its past shoulders.
Long hair all the way
