- Mickey came in with years worth of growth and a signature long hairstyle. After years of having long hair he wanted to swap it for a short on sides long on top haircut. He worked with Dan, with a few pictures as a guide, to come up with a tailored short back and sides haircut (clipper over comb) with a long top.

@@mwrightinsurance there's a lot of salon that cut and hairstyle celeb, if you're willing to pay then go for it. You doesnt cut your hair not because you cant find a good barber but because you wanted it long. If theres a will theres a way.

We know sometimes when we do these transformations we get a couple of comments saying "why didn't we donate the hair?" And we'd love to! So anyone who knows about donating hair to people in need, we'd love to try do a series with some long transformations that helps to donate hair also! Get in touch with us if you know more. I don’t think his hair is nearly long enough to donate. Where I’m from in the USA your hair has to be past your shoulder blades in order to donate.
@Chaser Blade They no longer seems to be taking donations, as synthetic hair wigs have improved.

Wow he looks great with the old money rich boy cut! And man it must be a relief when you get relaxed and socially comfortable people in the chair. You’re a great communicator with all personalities, but some of these guys are so unresponsive it could feel borderline rude. This guy was awesome

Very well done. I think Mickey will find in time that he would like to keep it a bit longer. Except for slightly shifting the top, he has few options. After having long hair for so long, I think he will feel restricted. But he has a great foundation now for seeing where it can go.

Love the new haircut, but he looks better with longer hair. My teen son got the same short haircut because I pushed him to do so. I thought his hair was too long for school. He let it grow again and I respect his choice. Nothing bad with a healthy long hair for young guys.

The (grow into the haircut) would make sense if you didn’t have the length required to have the desired haircut which in your case you certainly did. I’m glad you liked the cut I personally would have been a little upset after showing him what I wanted, especially if it was for a important event like a wedding or so coming days. I wouldn’t want to grow into my suggested haircut if I need it for a date this evening.
@@danielposh fair enough, makes sense. For me that didn’t apply though. I didn’t have a date or a wedding. In fact it suited me perfectly because my important dates were about a month down the road.

But I believe Mickey made a BIG mistake by getting rid of his long hair. I'm an accountant & tax professional and still rocking long hair down to my shoulder like he had earlier. Such a shame!

I really like a type of haircut like Mickey Rourke in 9 1/2 weeks, with Kim Basinger. That style - I think - that never came back. This haircut seems to me a combination between that style and the pompadour.

I didn't think I'd like it from the style pictures have showed you to choose from, but it came out very nice. You, sir, are an artist! My issue would be having to return to you for the same haircut every 2 weeks or every month to maintain the look. My ex used to cut my hair, but she passed away in June. So I bought a Wahl MC3 Color Pro Plus Kit and will be doing it myself. Nothing against you or salons, other than the prices. After we split in 2008, I used to get a haircut every 6 months, whether I needed it or not. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Sometimes, she did it and other times, shops. But I found a video to use the Wahl Kit for the way I like to have it, longer overall. $32, plus an extended warranty and a cleaning/maintenance kit would be about two haircuts with tip, so I'll be ahead of the game quickly. I did enjoy watching you work, though! You did a great job! Hats off to you.

As someone who had long hair then decided to cut it short, I was quite pissed off at myself the next day. The barber did a good job, but I was unhappy with my choice. I would recommend taking some length off, dressing it up to give a professional look, and gradually reducing the length over a period of 2-3 more cuts. This takes the shock and regret out of the equation.
And, I don’t think the style matched him at all. He has a protruding brow, a laidback forehead which makes his hairline appear more receding than what it is. I would have kept the sides longer and gave him more over hang over the hairline.
