YOOOO, it’s probably an unusual thing to say but CONGRATS!! As you said at the beginning of the video, long hair takes ages to grow and therefore becomes part of your identity which makes it super difficult to transition away from. I love the result, you suit short hair!

Yeah, I agree. Going from really long to really short is way too drastic.
Going from long to medium is a better option.

I just went through this process yesterday. I waited to watch this vid until I had done it. I went from lower chest level hair to it being above my ears - not as short as you. I donated it too! Same as you. It really is a whole new person in the mirror, and I’m glad I could see you put what I’m feeling into words!

Just as I was about to get my hair buzzed, I see this video on my recommended. Alot of people are cutting off 1 almost 2 years worth of hair growth and I want to do the same, but I've become sentimental with my own hair. You've been an inspiration with my hair journey and watching this video reassured me that its ok to go back to square 1. After all, hair grows back eventually so its not like its the end of the world.

I love that you noted the extra volume on top and wanted it cut. I have a similar issue when I go to a stylist so I always have to ask to have my hair thinned out like there's no tomorrow. My last stylist taught me that.

It always looks like that after a cut, the struggle with short hair comes from you keeping your beard trimmed and lined up constantly, since it can make a hairstyle go from great to bad, but yeah tim looks amazing!

Recently decided to cut my hair off after having long curls for most of my life. When you said that having short hair made you feel more like yourself, I instantly knew what you were talking about. I have not regretted my decision ONCE.
I don't blame you, long curly hair is a part-time job by itself. I currently have close to shoulder-length curly hair and it is hell to maintain.
Long hair is just something that you have to take care of. If you already have a lot of things to worry about, it is best to cut off your long hair. Grow it out again once you're free of worries :)

You look fantastic! I was so nervous when you said you were cutting it off, one of the reasons I initially followed was for your long hair and really unique, great style, but you look fantastic. So happy for you taking a big plunge. It takes work to grow out that much hair.
As a fellow ex long haired guy I am pretty glad and proud with myself as it is a bold action to take. All the fears will go away when you get that crispy hairstyle that you always thought wouldnt fit you. Trust me buddy it does.
