I’m 72. Hairstylist for over 30 years. Graduate from Vidal Sassoon academy. You give the best haircuts I’ve seen in a long time. Not just the finish look but your cutting techniques are great. Especially the fact that you CHECK your cuts as you go and to the final. Most hair cutters just cut and don’t check their blends and notice where texture needs to be added. Also directional cutting and following waves. I’m impressed

Such thin hair will not be very useful for making wigs for the oncological patients.

A good human hair wig has gradations of hair color, so they would be good for the back part of the wig. 😊I may be wrong, but 😊after I've lost half my hair, I'm almost recovered. Minoxidil, biotin, folic acid, rosemary oil, and folliboost serum. Every day, twice a day since 2020, but. I still have patches of almost bald . Couldn't believe how attached I was emotionally to my hair😮😮
Dear Lady Salem: I understand that any addition of hair is welcome to wig makers, they might eventually make a toupet and I have heard they also make little wigs for oncologic children. (My granddaughter's teacher told her that they could make a nice children wig with her hair, I told the girl she has the right to keep her hair long as it is). I admire your persistence in the hair treatment, and I have copied the name of the products you use because my hairline is receding and I don't want to look like a Flemish "Portrait of a Lady". Now I am using only Minoxidil. Hair is an ornament that God other nature has given us and I don't understand women who are not "emotionally attached" to it. I wish you good luck in completing your treatment and a merry Christmas 2023.
@@Bzcenci812 thanks for your reply. Skeptical ( nasty and mean ) people laughed and said vivid didn't make you lose your hAir, but I was unconscious for 2 days before hospitalization. The oxygen deprivation starved the hair follicles, and I'm lucky I didn't have brain or kidney damage. At any rate, anything a person feels is traumatic, IS TRAUMATIC for them. So3 be sure to do minoxidil every day or new growth will fall out . Also, I've stopped doing any heat styling, excessive brushing or washing every day. Good luck and good growth!!
Looks like the updated version of a 1930's/ 40's Golden Age of Hollywood hairstyle. It suits him so well. Great haircut and I enjoyed watching a skilled artist perform his magic.

Suave AF. Haircut + Mo is straight out of the Golden era of Hollywood. Dan seems quite humble and I appreciate his honesty in managing his client's expectations with regards to the realities of what might be possible given their hair. But he never fails to deliver a great outcome. Dan is a master at the top of his game.

dude is a solid 10 now. super transformation. he gets the benefit of the transformation but dont get it twisted. this was a master class in consultation. a master class in communication and the management of client expectation. also this is what honesty, artistry, and passion for what you do looks like. the perfect storm of client and stylist.

I wouldn't agree that he looked good before. He looked seedy in my eyes. His nose looked wrong and the 'stache was just dodgy. But afterwards! EVERYTHING in his face and style just came together and he looks fantastic!

@@RegalGentleman quick question,my hair is medium length all over but thin on top,I hate short hair on top but the sides and back are really thick and much more abundant then what I have on top,do you think it would work better if I take the sides and back down and reduce the volume to emphasize more the hair on top? After this amazing transformation, you could definitely see more life in the guy's eyes. Imagine looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing that! Dude went from being just a random guy on the street that no one noticed ... to a handsome young lad that will turn heads!
What others have said, this haircut really works on his face type, and he has the right texture hair to pull off this look.
Yes, he does have the texture, and from my own experience, when he washes and styles it at home (when it has not been pulled this way and that, combed straight and flattened), he will find even nicer definition and waves. I wish we could see it then! Great cut.
I'm mesmerized by the scissor flick, so subtle as to be almost imperceptible but so efficient.. from cutting to being held in a split second! Amazing! To say nothing of amazing hair cuts!

How meticulously you did the cutting of this gentleman's hair and with unended narration. Fabulous and astonishing!
I've watched countless videos that you've done, hundreds and this is the one that really got me. There is a mastery here that is astonishing. You create with a pair of scissors and a clipper and comb like a sculptor chips away at a block of stone to reveal what's beneath the surface, or how a painter builds from the canvas out, never by rote, only by a deep sense of confidence in your skill and that the hair itself has a story to tell. This was also by far the most detailed and complicated cut I've seen you do, something even most skilled stylist/barbers would have easily butchered. You created an actual moment here. I'm simply astonished. He started out looking like a classic French aristocrat, handsome and a bit timid. He ended looking confident and even better looking now that you can see his facial structure. Sorry for going on but this was magic. Thanks for sharing your work. My, my, my....

Loved this cut! Been a hairdresser for 38yrs now retired just do family but I always LOVED mens haircuts!! Especially haircuts like this! Just SO natural & such a clean finish. I bet his mum was thrilled! From shaved head to long hair & then this!! Looks like a different person!! To be fair he can pull of shaved & the long hair but this just brings out his lovely eyes! I loved his long hair but this really suits him! 😊

This handsome lad has beautiful hair and I think it was cut to perfection. There was a lot of hair left on his head, but so neat and tidy with just the right amount of curl .

That is a gorgeous cut. The result is a look I like so much, but the process, the watching of the attention to detail. Well, I just wish the women's hair stylists I've been to spent half the time and trouble taking care of these things - because on the occasions when they have done the work, the results not only speak for themselves, but so do the people who compliment you. I bet Russell gets a shedload of compliments about this little work of art.
