There has been an insane amount of guys who have been growing out their hair thanks to this new long hair trend. In 2021, I hope to see more and more guys with longer hair. It's an awesome trend, but will it stick around? Should you commit to this journey? It's definitely a long one! I have been growing my hair out since 2019 and I think that ,yes short hair has a lot more versatility but even when you have long hair you have options like a low bun, a high bun, messy bun you can have braids like a viking hairstyle . And I know that growing your hair is very hard and not only because it takes a lot of time but also because there are people that think that long hair in men is a very strange and taboo wich can make it harder to grow your hair but in the end there is nothing that is possible

I'm up.I will trim 8 size in a few days so that length of every part including sides top and back is equal and then grow it out for at least 9 months or until split ends show up.what are your hair measurements currently??
@@nisargadhvaryu5173 I’m on 1 year rn and my hair is sort of at lip-level, although sides and back are shorter and I have trimmed my split ends twice this year.
I don’t think you should start from zero, just start learning about things like hair porosity, hair type, thickness, texture etc.. and you’ll know the right products to get healthier hair rather than cutting it all off and starting at zero.
Edit: by lip level I mean my top hairs reach to my lip when pulled down.

Wash you hair twice or thrice a week, apply any natural hair oil 2hour before you wash it off. Comb or brush your hair twice daily. THAT IS IT!

Let it air dry unless you wanna dry it with a hairdryer it but air drying is better

I started growing mine out before it was trending and before we were in lockdown. I gotta say I don’t regret it and I’m still growing it out. 16 months have passed and after two trims, I love it!

I’ve been growing (and periodically trimming it) for about 2 years now and I must honestly say that it’s been rough but one of the best experiences of my life. As soon as you’re passed the awkward stage and people start complimenting, it’s a blessing that you held on! 👌

Problem with me growing my hair is instead of growing longer it also grows outwards, lots of volume, so it makes it look like I got a big head
this is an advice for you slick back your hair then put a cap about 10 minute ,then split your hair to make the middle part and comb it

Yes mine does the same. It also gets super frizzy and dry.
I played alot of sports so I always used a headband and that helped me have my hair slick back / curtain hairstyle

I always loved long hair and now I have it and I LOVE IT even more. When I was at the awkward stage my friends and families were like “where are you going with this?” and now after I passed that my friends and families are like “don’t you dare cut it!” I’m really glad to be in this journey with Alex and a lot of people.

I’m growing mine out, It’s tricky to style because my hair is very thin, so it just falls down, but your argon oil is really nice!! So happy with it and the best part it smells sooo good, the Forte paste, it’s okay, also it smells good, I use it to slick back my sides, and the argon oil is a good enough hold. Thanks Alex!! I was growing out my hair too the last 6 months but cut it off last week.... I regret it sooo much!! I had never grown out my hair and it's only after I cut it last week that I realised I look better with longer hair! Will be starting my hair growth journey again :)

I feel you man i make it close to a year and cut it shorter again, its a cycle ! after I have my hair longer for awhile in a pony tail i get sick of having to take care of it so much and cut it down. I feel free for a bit after cutting it and then want to grow it out again.

I started arnd the same time as you Alex and I’m slightly shorter due too curl/wave hair. This is honestly a fun experiment and goal as after graduating in 1.5 years I will have to do national service and shave bald so right now seeing how long I can grow and how much of a surfer I can look sounds fun!! I tried growing my hair out during quarantine but i wasn't very familiar with products and stuff like that so it looked terrible. Now that I'm a little more experienced, i think I'm going to get a buzz cut to start the year and document my progress as i try growing it out again throughout 2021!!

I know what you mean, it was the same for me, so you can just wait or maybe go to the barber and ask if he can cut the hair side a bit maybe but I feel you bro, everybody had that « weird » period it’s though but you have to resist ! Maybe try to wear cap or hat as much as possible, it helps to maintain your hair and people can’t see your weird period when you wear it so yep it was my advices but RESIST it’s the best advice I can give you ;)

I started growing my hair in quarantine and trust me it was the best thing I did back then. People came to me and actually appreciated that look. So yeah as Alex said you should try it atleast once in your life. You never know what can be the best hairstyle for you until you try it.

I used to have all kind of haircuts, but for a few months I didn't, I thought exactly what you said, 'why not, just to give it a try' and after I saw yours, and I loved it. I grew my hair out when I was 18 and they were my best years of my life. Now I been keeping it short but I always wanted to challenge myself to grow it out again and see if I can do it again. I'll probably wait a year but I believe it's good to get it trimmed every so many months, so it grows back thicker and healthier. Thinking about growing my hair out again, I thank you for this video to convince me to.

@@adityachauhan7527 well I didn't have any visible hair loss during that period...but dandruff was insane... I'd sit in the shower for around 20mins just scrapping off the dandruff...I live a area where it's really humid .. I didn't face any other issues...the awkward phase was kinda bad but after that it was a breeze...got compliments about my hair and all...Just be brave and let your hair grow out...I swear it will be fun
