After 8 months or so of growing my hair out, this is what it looks like! Today I wanted to show you how I style my medium length hair to achieve a middle part, AKA curtains, as well as an asymmetrical men's hairstyle that looks great tuked behind the ear. Which one is your favorite?
My hair length:
Front: 9 inches
Top back: 7 inches
Sides and back: 5 inches

Thanks Alex for the tip about the poofy hair that is the biggest problem with my hairstyle currently
1:28 - Yes definitely, in fact I've been diluting my shampoo (which is already very gentle with how much natural body oil it removes) and putting it in a wash bottle they'd use in a scientist lab setting. This way I can wet my hair and actually apply the soap directly to my scalp, my hair is so thick that I end up drying my hair out on the ends a lot but with this method I can apply the soap right to the scalp to remove that excess oil without frying the hair. Then if I use conditioner (I find I don't really need to this way because between the shampoo being diluted and not focusing on the ends of my hair it stays properly oiled) I just apply it to the ends where it's really needed.
I know everyone's different, but I gotta say it does feel great to find a method that works for me. I appreciate videos that understand everyone's got unique takes, styles, needs and hair types. Great video Alex, thanks for your insight.

I grew out my sides a little time ago. I used clay on the sides and paste on top. And pre styled with argan oil and sea salt spray
