I’m expecting great things from Team Asobi in the future. Hearing how they operate, seeing the respect they have and the value they see in their developers, and watching the fruits of their labor succeed in such a spectacular fashion has proven to me that they are now one of Sony’s premier developers. I hope they stay the relatively small, focused, well structured team that they currently are, because clearly they don’t need to be expanded, having made Astro Bot in just 3 years.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Astro boy is the perfect mascot for playstation. It showcases what the system has to offer, it demonstrates what the controller is capable of doing and the game is fun because of it. Way better than Kratos or Aloy.
I say yes without a doubt. Astro should get at least two more games on this console generation and be the pack in title for future Playstations going forward. I love Astro Bot!
They have made one of the best 3D platformers to ever exist. Maybe even a blueprint for what makes a game interesting and fun. It’s super rare in todays gaming industry. They deserve every ounce of success they get and more.
I think Astro is the perfect PS mascot. He's iconic, fits the PS Brand, and a perfect canvas to use in different gaming scenarios. Astro Bot is the first time in a while that I felt the childlike wonder that I normally only get from Mario 3D platformers. That's partly thanks to Astro as a character.
Crash was the OG. (PSO) Then Ratchet and Clank (PS2) Then Sackboy (PS3) Then Kratos (PS4) And Now Astro. (PS5) Every generation has their representative. Can’t wait to see what’ll be the PS6s rep.
It would be a unique mascot in that it's from stuff that specifically is about the company that made it as well as being one of the things the company made, without simply being a drawing they put an ads
I wonder if given enough time and budget if they could make something similar to breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom, I'm not saying they have to rip it off completely but have the gameplay be physics driven like it is on those games
I say YES!! Astro is so adorable, sleek, clean, and futuristic perfect for PS, also PS have had different kind of games trough their eras and for all kind of ages and these games can perfectly be represented in Astro Bot world as we have seen with the bots cosplaying different characters and even levels inspired by some of these games, it’s perfect for the kids and also we as adults💙
I wouldn't exaclty call a digital videogame-based adaptation of the AIBO an 'accident', but it sure can feel like that when it finally breaks out ofter 10 years of featuring exclusively in dedicated, accessory-required tech-demos.
I think Astro could be a good mascot even if it's not as recognizeable as other mascots by being a way for Playstation to showcase other characters it has that are more recognizeable. They've always had an issue keeping a consistent mascot, so having one that can stay consistent without losing relevence might be a good option for them.

Astro Bot VR was amazing. Give us another one!
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Astro boy is the perfect mascot for playstation. It showcases what the system has to offer, it demonstrates what the controller is capable of doing and the game is fun because of it. Way better than Kratos or Aloy.
Now I want to graduate in game design and be a part of Asobi Team
This was the most fun I’ve had in a game in so many years!!!! Game of the year!
It's been their mascot since forever.
I was looking for a way to give Team Asobi some money for the awesome Astro's Playroom and this is it!!!
I say yes without a doubt. Astro should get at least two more games on this console generation and be the pack in title for future Playstations going forward. I love Astro Bot!
Great content! Well done and narrated!
Astro without a doubt should be the official mascot of PlayStation
I mean that's what it felt like what they were doing with Astros playroom since it has Playstation colors and was free with every ps5.
Wasn't Sackboy from Little Big Planet the mascot? Serious question
Astro Bot's face is very similar to Cozmo the toy robot's, which of course is very influenced by robots from Wall-E.
Astro bot might be game of the year!
So happy to see a single player game achieving this kind of success.
They have made one of the best 3D platformers to ever exist. Maybe even a blueprint for what makes a game interesting and fun. It’s super rare in todays gaming industry. They deserve every ounce of success they get and more.
When I look at Astro Bot, I can only see Bomberman. I miss those games...
Come on guys, the PSVR1, and later the PS5 designs were based on the visual design and colors of the character. It's NOT an accident.
Hear me out.
New LittleBigPlanet-type game, but in Astro's aesthetic.
The would be so sick! Maybe Team Asobi can test it out as a DLC for this Astro Bot
The reveal trailer for Astro Bot was what finally made me cave and buy a PS5. It is the _only reason_ I got one. And I have not been disappointed.
Gravity Rush mentioned
I think Astro is the perfect PS mascot. He's iconic, fits the PS Brand, and a perfect canvas to use in different gaming scenarios.
Astro Bot is the first time in a while that I felt the childlike wonder that I normally only get from Mario 3D platformers. That's partly thanks to Astro as a character.
How bout SackBoy from Little Big Planet! Felt he was the OG mascot for PlayStation
Crash was the OG. (PSO)
Then Ratchet and Clank (PS2)
Then Sackboy (PS3)
Then Kratos (PS4)
And Now Astro. (PS5)
Every generation has their representative.
Can’t wait to see what’ll be the PS6s rep.
@@aeolussvichi7680I personally think astro bots fits the mascot name the most and it should stay the mascot long term
Imagine a kart game with special guests, like Kratos, Aloy, Ratchet, etc 😻😻😻
I’m gonna need an astro stuffed animal.
Crash Bandicoot move over, we have a new mascot.
100% Astro Bot should be the Playstation mascot. We want official merch! Figurines, t-shirts, mugs, posters, all of it!
Astro is an Icon already it’s amazing
Looks astro bot Astro bot will be Sony PlayStation's Mickey Mouse
It would be a unique mascot in that it's from stuff that specifically is about the company that made it as well as being one of the things the company made, without simply being a drawing they put an ads
Astro being a PS5 pack-in and the face on the PlayStation portal box says he is a Sony mascot.
New ASTRO BOT 🤖 has loads of content! Excellent game. Hope to see more astro adventures from PlayStation 🥳
I wonder if given enough time and budget if they could make something similar to breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom, I'm not saying they have to rip it off completely but have the gameplay be physics driven like it is on those games
Platformers usually don't benefit from physics
@@ryko1478 well I mean more like an action adventure style game
You mean more like Mario Odyssey? An open world Zelda like wouldn’t work for Astro.
Not everything needs to be open world.
@@terry.1428 Agree! More Platformers, indle, & sandbox styles :(
I Am Astro Bot
A-stro-booot 🎶
You wish bro 😎
Seriously, team asobi should just make Astro bot, PlayStation’s mascot
as the public i declare Astro bot to be sony's new mascot
The Astro demo was my favorite PS5 game.
I wouldn't exaclty call a digital videogame-based adaptation of the AIBO an 'accident', but it sure can feel like that when it finally breaks out ofter 10 years of featuring exclusively in dedicated, accessory-required tech-demos.
Toro and Kuro will always be PlayStation's mascot to me.
Please make Astro VR2 would be absolutely amazing
Astro Bot is not the hero we deserved, but the hero we needed!
I just hope Sony preserves the innovative/R&D essence of the studio
I always thought Astrobot was an evolution of Sackboy. Sackboy was well into becoming the unofficial mascot of PlayStation.
I hope they get to make a sequel
Sony goes through more mascot than jenifer Lopez going through husbands
😂😂😂
How many iconic single player games have they made though?
@@TheMostGloriousBeardlook at their history and you’ll know👍🏾
@@TheMostGloriousBearda lot? Thats why they have so many mascots to choose from and they seemingly can never settle with one
@@istealmemories4091 yeah I get that. It seems like it’s mostly Kratos now but I’m sure they’d want one that appeals to all audiences.
Astro bot should be the face of PlayStation mascot please let it happen I want more Astro bot games or cross overs :)
I think Astro could be a good mascot even if it's not as recognizeable as other mascots by being a way for Playstation to showcase other characters it has that are more recognizeable. They've always had an issue keeping a consistent mascot, so having one that can stay consistent without losing relevence might be a good option for them.
This team is Sony's most important studio.
We need astro merchandise
There's an Astro Bot Nendoroid, it's getting a re release
The game is great, I just got it today and I've aleady put in so many hours. It's an easy game to get hooked on playing
Reminds me of when Drake thought he ethered Kenny just to get a response an hour later.😮😂
I really hope that financially this game does really well. It’s f’n fantastic!!!
i think he should be, especially with how fantastic the games have been
Sackboy got a new set of armor.
After the cancellations and abandoned IPs, I always saw Ratchet as the mascot. With Astro, it feels more fitting for it to be the mascot
I kinda hope this team gets the chance to make an ape escape game
i dunno, but i think that the astrobots can pop off even as a competition for funko pops
