My coach just went over same subject of hand control. As a novice I can say I got caught up in the riser, back pressure, side pressure trends. A strong hand will allow me to improve other areas. Just like a foundation.
Guys, I use a NALGENE BOTTLE with red and black band for cup exercises. Went from wrist shaking at yellow weak band to black sklz band. Every commercial break I would do 10 reps and take step back. I’m not a big guy, but I found Rays exercises have made my wrist and hand way stronger. Which translates to the job site or climbing wall well. Find the time and do the work. If you’re watching his stuff, set the phone down and listen while you do the work. Do Something! No Excuses!
How do you get a stronger hand? I feel like this takes a long time to get your hand stronger. **Edit: @11:00 thanks for the playlist & videos for getting a stronger hand. - That makes sense why manual labour & construction guys have ridiculously strong hands & often are decent at armwrestling!
Ha! Finally someone else said it. Everyone is different. Everyone pulls different. Mind muscle connection differs. They have showed him the basics. He simply needs to find his groove and give it time to develop. Side note, I do however like how Derek told him "why" he is to do different moves. People should answer larry's questions to help him along but for fucks sake, let the man grow by himself. Next they will be taking credit away from him for his improvement.
You can pick and choose a few exercises to do every few days, your arms should be recovered after 2 or 3 days so you can hit ALL the movements multiple times a week. So add some cupping, pronation, back pressure, side pressure stuff into your usual workouts
Are there specific exercises that someone can do to strengthen your tendons in the wrist. I’ve actually injured my wrist by pronating so hard my wrist connection lost it’s integrity... but when muscular strength is better than the tendons connecting them, what’s the fix?!? Focus on working those areas (hand movement variations)? More table time focusing on those vectors?
You answer your own question there, yes just work it more but try to also include very high rep light work to "bathe the tendons" with all the blood in the surrounding muscles, since tendons don't have a direct blood supply. There are many, many videos on VOA channel for wrist exercises, just check them out. Also be very careful with giving 100% on table all the time, because this can cause increasing damage over time because tendons can take up to 2 weeks to recover fully, whereas muscles take 2 days to a week. Consider doing a deload week here and there to rest the tendons.
The exact name is than the hand- wrestling, is overrated to define a strong man into universal sense. The symbol of this is the talktativ Travis bagent.
Arm-wrestling is fixing to blow up and your channel will sky rocket. DO NOT STOP. best wishes for you my friend.
Couple little subtle jabs at mr Bowen 😂😂

It does take a long time to get a strong hand, just like any other muscle. Just gotta keep working 💪🏼
