During my farm, I didn't even have to pick up the guns. All I had to do was open the chests, and the guns would automatically be sent to my inventory after I deleted the Outpost.
Hey bro, I love this, I just wanted to add something to it. If you are just setting up an Outpost just to do this, you don't have to open any of those cases. All you have to do is follow all your steps right up to that point and then erase the Outpost and everything ends up in your inventory, and easier way to browse everything. Just drop what you don't want and open another Outpost and start over
This may be a stupid question but I really haven't built any outpost yet till now. How do you erase the outpost once you set it? I am doing the weapon farm now but I don't see anything that shows me where to erase the outpost (xbox console). It let's me move the beacon but not delete it. Apparently I'm missing something.
@@cliff4876 I had the same issue, it’s just hard to see the text. Go up to your outpost beacon while you’re not in outpost building mode. It should give you two options with A & X. Hold X, I believe.
@SwoleBenji with the basis of @sequoia1171 I refined the method further: 1. Do a hard save (not even necessary, but things can get get laggy and crash if you push) 2. Place outpost 3. Go to flyby view and you can place pistol and rifle cases on top of each other by mashing E or A (get laggy but you can make towers of 100+ cases) 4. Exit outpost view 5. Quicksave then Quickload 6. Deconstruct outpost 7. Repeat from 2. until you have toushand of weapons in your pockets to sort through This make getting perfect weapons easier because you can just do it for 10 minutes and then look at what you looted and sell the rest. (Also you get metric shit-tons of ammos)
I love this, thank you!! I discovered a faster way to do this with less loading and less searching. Instead of hard saving, build the outpost, build all the gun cases, quicksave, load quicksave, then delete the outpost. All of the guns and ammo is transferred to your ship and you can more quickly scroll through the inventory to see what you want. Then repeat. Plus you can sell all those guns of just transfer them and drop them if you dont want to.
Something I've noticed, I havent gotten any drops for the Hard Target or Magsniper. I'm level 63, I've tried the medium and large in 100 crate batches until I filled my 5000 mass cargo and not a single one. Havent tried small yet, but doubt it they'd be there. If anyone has found them, I'd love to know.
Supposedly you are refunded the cost of building the cases as well, would love to know if that's true, but it may also help to place lots of cases in build mode instead of first person as well!

So I had a couple of questions (post-watching whole video). Say you want to keep a gun and reroll. Is there a way you could delete the crates, hard save, lay down crates, quick save, and quick load to reroll while saving the gun you wanted? Or does it stop working? Not meaning for that to sound like a dumb question, just wanted to be sure before attempting. As well, would you think that the hard save, quick save, quick load method could populate weapons in crates on your ship armory as well? I’ve noticed guns moved around in those crates that I didn’t place. Wasn’t sure if they spawn or just rotate from ship inventory. Could you place mannequins or armor stands and spawn those items as well using this method? Does your games difficulty level affect rolls potentially? Another question, could this be done on a base you already have, or does it need to be done on a fresh outpost? Have mercy if any questions were answered in video. I was making breakfast while listening, to be fair lol. Great video! Fun exploit!
I have the same questions, so I guess it's time to test it when I get a chance later today. Interestingly, if you can do it in game without console or cheat commands, it doesn't feel as much like cheating as just spawning in what you want hahaha.
Comment if someone tries these. I will try today myself and comment too. Had the same questtions! LOL BTW: Difficulty *could* help and has no downside, so just set it to Very Hard.
I'll have to give this a try when I get home thank you then for everybody and the comments asking about difficulty from my experience and understanding of it putting the game on very hard should give you at least slightly better odds of getting legendary loot and I don't know if it's true but from what I've heard with the game on very easy you don't get legendary loot to spawn. Just make sure that you change the difficulty to what you want before landing on the surface of the planet or at the very least before going through the load screen from your ship to the planet
I DID watch until the end, I appreciate your efforts, just had a small question for the very end - When you DO find guns you want, if you want to SAVE to keep that gun but continue the farming process - I guess you would have to wipe out the outpost and start over again right? This way you keep whatever you wanted, but can reset everything for more farming? Thanks again!
Yeah I wondered this too. Surely if you are reloading your hard save after looting a bunch of boxes you will lose all the loot you just got. So you would need to do a new hard save and start the whole process again?
@@jelo_ren I messed around with it - Once you find something you want to keep, you pick it up, then access your outpost terminal and remove it. It will refund your resources spent on spawning the cases in. From there I normal save, reload, place the outpost, and do the process again, able to re-use my resources.
I was gonna go run missions to do the Freestar terminal boss save scum version of this…. This is a much better use of my playtime. I’ve got actual missions to go run. But I need those epic shotguns, I’ve got only about 3 hours today, and I really want to maximize my time. Gg and thanks, man!
Fun fact: Since it's an Xbox game and it's on Game Pass you can download it on PC and it will load up your console save, from there you can use the console commands. Downside is that even if you download the mod that let's you keep getting achievements on PC it will disable them on your Xbox.
I tested before filming and got no differing results. I tried all the RNG manipulating things that work in other games and came back empty handed. Everything from loading the game on a freshly opened game, dying a ton, looting garbage, passing lots of time both in-game and real time via speeding up the games process. I tried frame rate manipulation, difficulty changes, adding any item with "lucky" in the name to my inventory, all of it. Nothing altered the weapons in any way other than being on a higher level planet.
Don't place the crates like a chump, go into overhead view and you can spam them down on top of each other as high as you can reach for quick and compact runs.
My only question. If I do this and I'm happy at the moment with what I've got. But later down the road I wanna do it again. Do I have to go back to this save or can I just start the process over again on a different planet?
Loading the hard save after doing this wont allow you to keep what you got in between reloading the quicksave and hard save will it? Asking for a friend 😂
Also if you just delete the case after you load it puts item in your inventory and just make a new case and quick save and load again boom new weapon so you can keep everything. Hope this helps.
Ok, I watched the whole video. Question: so when you've opened the cases once, then you want to repeat it you said to load the hard save, do you not lose the weapons you already gained?

One thing I found that DOES work at super low level is the quests from the ship dude in Cydonia. It's pretty random what he sends you after, but on my current toon his first goods run was for orions and one of the guns in the mission loot chest was a proffesional advanced orion at level 4. Super lucky, but it can happen.
I believe this does work for containers as well but you have to be on the difficulty you want before landing on the planet or at the very least before going through the load screen from your ship to the planet very hard difficulty as long as there's no enemies around you should have no problem with and should give you at least slightly better odds
Odd experience, i did this 12 rimes in a row (22 medium box per attempt) and never got a single legendary and only a few advanced weapons and nothing higher than a epic the epic and rares where always advanced. The first time i did all large weapon chests I got 4 legendary, 2 epic and 2 rare. I also noticed the largest chest also spawns every weapon size not just heavy. I some extremely op weapons and when i went on a murder spree to try them out, when i came back all the common weapons that i hadn't looted became advanced level.
Does game difficulty increase/decrease the likelihood of spawning legendary, epic or rare weapons using your instructions? i.e. If game settings are VERY HARD, will I get better weapons than HARD, NORMAL, EASY and VERY EASY?
I liked and subscribed purely because of the comment, “ you don’t understand what it’s like being a RUclipsr, and how everyone in the comments ****s it up “ well said! I’m not a RUclipsr, but I do know most people are idiots!
Yeah it only works for weapon cases, not storage boxes. So boxes that hold credits or digipicks. It won't work. But by doing this method, you can make credits easily.
Be glad when mods come to us lazy couch sitting console players till then your the next best thing bro keep them coming could ya maybe do a best guide for a new character to whatever level of ng+ best gaming experience kinda thing
You might hate the rivet gun but did show me 3 things. 1 tool weapons are base and nothing better and 2 they can be legendary I never seen one so unless there is some mod in the background that lets that happen then my "Tim the Space Toolman Taylor" can be a thing lol.
What I wanna know though is can you do a similar trick to spawn legendary melee weapons? Cause there's one I missed doing the mantis quest and I wanna get it back
If you get some that you like and want to keep, but also want to keep farming different types. What is the best method for this? Deleting all the boxes, save, (load save?), set up boxes again, quick save, load quick save and then open?
Just delete the outpost, it will take you forever to delete every single crate. You will still get the resources back. I would reload the world at that point by landing again, then go through the steps as normal. Or try doing it without landing again, it might work.
Not sure how it happened I came back to delete the weapon crates and they multiplied 3 weapons of different kinds, this is after it has been a few in-game days I can't say how many days I just know that when I deleted the crates three guns of different types fell out, so I tried it again with new crates I slept 24 hours but nothing dropped something to look into because I want to see if it will multiply rares
Top guide as usual👍🏼You still crack me up with your humour and chuckle 🤣 but wait there’s more, you’ve expanded your repartee to “haahaa that’s what you get…. I love to punish people who don’t watch the full video” 😂.
I was doing all the outpost stuff for credits and just started playing the game and realized you DONT NEED TO FARM for CREDITS and you don’t need to do the fight sim to get your pilot skills just do the mission where you help the homesteaders fix satellites you get like 35 kills in it with the Mantis ship

It's pretty random what he sends you after, but on my current toon his first goods run was for orions and one of the guns in the mission loot chest was a proffesional advanced orion at level 4. Super lucky, but it can happen.
which ship dude the miner or the guy that wants you to find cargo?
Loved the video and the honesty
Aye you got that bag boi! Yo vids are 🔥. Gotta do em before they get patched. The FOMO is real with your tips 😂.
I like how you managed to insult every type of person that might watch this!
Soft
@@Titanfists It is right now...
This is dope !
I did this, and Todd Howard showed up to my house, banned me for life, and smashed my Xbox!
Question: Wouldn't setting difficulty to very hard help?
I know it helps on NPC drops, but not sure if it matters on weapon chests.
I believe this does work for containers as well but you have to be on the difficulty you want before landing on the planet or at the very least before going through the load screen from your ship to the planet very hard difficulty as long as there's no enemies around you should have no problem with and should give you at least slightly better odds
Safest bet would be to set your difficulty to very hard while you're in orbit BEFORE landing on the planet
As both an xbox player and an autistic achievement hunter, thank you.
Great video, bro. If people cant follow simple instructions, then well sucks to be them.
You need to set your game difficulty to very hard
Content creator: “Bethesda doesn’t care, they won’t patch it!”
Bethesda: “Challenge accepted!”
Does game difficulty increase/decrease the likelihood of spawning legendary, epic or rare weapons using your instructions? i.e. If game settings are VERY HARD, will I get better weapons than HARD, NORMAL, EASY and VERY EASY?
You forgot to show me how to turn the game on. 😂
Thanks for the indepth video.
Got some kick ass heavy weapons thanks 😊
I liked and subscribed purely because of the comment, “ you don’t understand what it’s like being a RUclipsr, and how everyone in the comments ****s it up “ well said! I’m not a RUclipsr, but I do know most people are idiots!
This is crazy, thanks!
Broo I love you thanks for this master pice!😊
Yeah it only works for weapon cases, not storage boxes. So boxes that hold credits or digipicks. It won't work. But by doing this method, you can make credits easily.
So what if you want to keep 1 of the weapons and still keep trying? New hard save and start the loop again?
Anyone got sniper rifles doing this? I've tried a few different level 75 planets, but no sniper rifles.
letz goo 200k hurry up already!!!
Hey thanks a lot for the tip bud. It worked perfectly for me
Thanks bro. If you know where hard targets and Beowulf drop that would be appreciated
Be glad when mods come to us lazy couch sitting console players till then your the next best thing bro keep them coming could ya maybe do a best guide for a new character to whatever level of ng+ best gaming experience kinda thing
lol.. great video man.
What crates do sniper rifles spawn in? I don't think I've seen one yet and I've done this a good few times.
AWESOME... is there a way to do this with space suits, helmets and packs??
You might hate the rivet gun but did show me 3 things. 1 tool weapons are base and nothing better and 2 they can be legendary I never seen one so unless there is some mod in the background that lets that happen then my "Tim the Space Toolman Taylor" can be a thing lol.
What I wanna know though is can you do a similar trick to spawn legendary melee weapons? Cause there's one I missed doing the mantis quest and I wanna get it back
"Mono means one, and rail means rail. And that concludes our intensive 3 week course."
Have you tried changing the game settings to very hard to see if you get better loot drops?
This may be a dumb question but does this work with the weapon racks and helmet displays and the others as well?
It works dude ty
This is amazing 👏
I get you just reload save if you didnt get weapons, how do you get more weapons to spawn if you find weapons you want to keep?
8:30 Left trigger to open scanner. X for outposts.
Left shoulder button to open scanner
Love it!!
THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT TO BE COPIED SOOOOO MUCH!! ❤️🔥🔥
Yep. They'll make it shorter and say something like, "I found this glitch while building an outpost."
All the time I wasted going vendor to vendor or looting bodies this is like Christmas
