Oh Adam, you’re such a brave soul ♥️ I like marmite in small doses mainly on toast with butter. I did add it to shepherds pie once and it wasn’t too bad.
Chris the butcher sent me here from his marmite steak sandwich video... nice to meet you adam...loved how you explained to us what marmite is...I've never heard or tried it before and so now... I'm wanting to try this...I wonder if it taste almost the same as a vegemite? ...great burger...hello from California USA 8)
Thanks man. Yes I suppose vegemite is the closest thing to marmite. If you are just trying it on it's own, use it sparingly. I've seen so many foreign youtubers slap loads on toast like it's chocolate spread and i'm like no wonder they don;t like it haha. A little goes a long way. Which is the opposite to what i did in this video haha
Great idea adding the Marmite. I am a big fan of Marmite on toast or crackers and I can definitely see myself trying this with a burger. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Pete for watching. Yeah pretty much everyone at work reeled in disgust when I told them what I was doing haha. One even said 'why would you ruin mayo with marmite!' XD
I always think of the Men At Work "Vegimite" Sandwich. lol Like a lot of things, if you grow up eating it you probably like it. Kind of like Grits in the South, or Rich with Hash. Nicely done. I agree with you about leaving it out altogether with the cheese.
@@Adam_Garratt Boil water, add grits, salt and butter while stirring. Kinda like cooking a pot of rice. Turn down to low and simmer 20 minutes. Be sure to add salt and butter. If you eat grits n eggs with sausage or bacon, you won't be hungry again til 3 o'clock. Love our grits.
I need to make your's and Chris's burgers, you both did well and they both look delicious, well done to you both Adam, and I have got a right mouth drool going on :-)
I adore Marmite. I actually live in the town where it is made. I will try adding some next time I make burgers. Thank you for the inspiration Adam. Take care and stay safe.
oh yes, great in a burger. Interested to know Linda love, so you live where they make marmite, do you smell it from the factory when they are making it? xx
@@Adam_Garratt Not these days Adam but when I was growing up we lived quite near to the factory and the smell was really bad, made us feel sick when going to school or, later, work.
Adam, youre a realistic working family chef, you dont have a kitchen the size of wembley stadium and an unlimited supply of spices etc yet you still provide very tasty and affordable recipes.
Well done Adam you are on the right track as the marmite has the amino flavor that is similar to Maggi sauce with no msg and I was thinking you’d lost your mind with teaspoons of it 😳 My ankles would ballon up for a month now, but I do like marmite kissed toast and I drank bovril when it got cold to warm my belly up and keep my hands warm 🥰
As a twist why not put Marmite on the top slice and Bovril on the bottom or vice versa. Then armed with kangaroo meat for the next patty and a all full Aussie flavour use Vegemite instead of either Marmite or Bovril. Or any combination of the 3, these are ones for the archive!
I thought at the time that you should have stopped at adding marmite to the burger, the cheese and mayo were a step too far. but it is nice to experiment. It certainly is worth a try. Not sure I will try this mind, I am not a big marmite fan, but some will love it. 👌
That was a banging burger brother, very worthy contender for the #marmitechallenge 😉
Cheer Chris mate! Was a lot of fun to do haha

Hi Adam how are you doing today like all your videos and keep on going and love your cooking 👍
I'm good thank you Linda. Hope you are well

Marmite does tend to polarise people taste wise. I like it on saute potatoes, I love that rich umami flavour! 😋👍

I know it's 4 years ago but I enjoyed this video. Seems like you put a lot of thought into it.

haha thanks bud. Yeah I have yet to try grits. What do they taste like?

Haha Cheers Joe, Chris's looked awesome
Love Marmite. Not seen it used this way & I agree, it must enhance the burger. I've put a teaspoon of marmite in casseroles & slow cooker recipes.
I watched both now and you have my vote on the challenge 😄 I would like to get in on one of these challenges. Keep me in mind. 🤗
It looks really good!
Thank you! :)
Regret to say Chris won my vote, but it depends on the original brief.
I'll let you off 🤣😉
A Brit Jucy Lucy ! Awesome ! Excellent addition of the bacon !

Cheers mate, I try to bring realistic recipes to you all
7 bone burger company released a limited edition marmite burger few weeks ago. It’s pukka. But comes with a onion bhaji and gravy. 👍🏼👍🏼
I don't know whether to feel excited or disgusted at the prospect of eating that 😂
It was one of the nicest things I ever eaten. Marmite strong but the crunch of the bhaji and the gravy like a sauce it all just worked.
Tried this one, as a Marmite lover, this was EPIC
Damn, you Brits need a little adventure in your life.....lol ! Yes , CTB is very vocal!....lol! Can’t wait to see you in the Hot Seat in a week !
Great experiment, don't like marmite personally but the burger looked great, very nicely presented.
Cheers Chris! Thanks for watching bud 👍

Oh man I forgot about bovril! You dont see it as much these days. Love it
Thanks for the tip checked Chris the butcher out he's a funny fuc**r 😂😂

Loving those ideas! Thanks
I love it on just about anything. Especially on sharp cheddar cheese sticks.
Marmite is liiiiiife
I love Marmite too is a very strong flavor so need be careful... I liked adding some few spoons to big pot gravy for Sunday roast
Nice touch! I'll try it next time I have a roast!
@@Adam_Garratt The best gravy (customers opinions) BTW i love all you move thx .

Was a bit marmite overkill but still tasted good. Deffo hold back next time haha. Cheers Alec
Delicious i bet
Yummy!
Hope you join in with the challenge Keef, :-)
@@jaytlamunch4459 That would be awesome!
Adam, you need to challenge CJ to make a marmite burger while you are on the Hot Seat ! Then I will show him the right way to do it !
Good idea! Lol
I love marmite, and baby cheese n marmite, so I'm going to give it a shot 😊
Ten out of ten to you for effort, though I was retching throughout. I can't stand marmite so there's no chance I will be trying that one out.
Haha! Thanks pal, and yeah its understandable 🤣
It looks delicious. You did a great job with that.
Thanks man!
Ummm. The jury's out on that one
I can tolerate a little marmite but sriracha no! Lol. Bravo to to you for giving it a go x
It was pretty intense 😂 x
@@Adam_Garratt would be more like 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣
Shared it with my son in law as he loves both those ingredients and ultra strong cheese 🤮
Just the marmite cheese in the centre and the marmite mayo would be enough, I'd suggest.
Well that was something different looks bloody nice mind 👏👍
You can use utensils but hands do work ...😂😜👍
Unique burger that thing is a monster!! 🤯
Cheers bud
Yum!
Thank you bud
I don't really like marmite but I want to try it in a burger to add umami.
I don't like Marmite oh no, I love it... have to try both recipes. Great video as always. 👍
Cheers JB
I'm veggie, but I want one!
It looked very interesting, I don’t think marmite is available here in the states
It's probably banned thanks to your government
Your probable right, but I’ll check when I go to work tomorrow, where in the store is it found?
@@MrChriswo29 well its normally with jams, preserves and honey here.🙂
Ok I’ll have to look in my store to see if they even carry it
I've tasted Marmite when I was a child. Not so good!😷
And people made a fuss about the invention of the wheel. That's nothing compared to this..
I wouldn't go that far just yet haha
next time try bovril it will be even better
I’ll make it with Vegemite Adam. Aussie Bob
Good plan
I think I'll stick with you mate.
Haha thanks Keith
Bovril is better
Hope your well x I like Marmite to x
I'm good thank you Kirsty. 😊X
