You truly have a wonderful way of imparting your knowledge in a friendly but succinct way. Awesome... as a Brit, I don't use 'awesome' lightly!
I just recently bought my Cricut Air 2. I've been watching videos, RUclips and just couldn't seem to get these tshirts right. Then I found your video on how to make them. Well Damn 😂. All I can say is I will be following you and watching more of your videos from now on. THANK YOU!!

I can't wait to practice these techniques.

Wow! I’ve been interested in learning this for months and I’m SO glad I came across this video. Time to binge watch all of your videos! You’re the first person to post a video that was so easy to follow along to.
I completely agree!! This was so detailed, but not drawn out to the point where i lose interest and get confused! This was sooooo lovely and her voice is very soothing to listen to while you’re watching.
I agree your tutorial was on point, I also have been very overwhelmed with learning how to use my cricut since I received it yesterday. This tutorial is for iron on Decals but if you want to do vinyl that’s a different process corrrect. Really enjoyed this.

That was a terrific tutorial! Thank you for making that straightforward and showing not only what works but what doesn't. You are my new favorite cricut crafter!
I just received a Cricut and started some t-shirt designs. I printed and cut the design for light color shirts and got the same results you did. I wasted 4 sheets trying to get it right. But what I didn't know was to set my Cricut to the right functions. Thanks to you, I'm going to try it again.
Hi there great video!! I watched like 15 videos and barely learnt anything, but ur video was clear and didn’t distract from the project so thank you, I’ve saved ur video and will go back and watch it time and time again I’m sure. Thank you for making this as simple as possible
I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard that if you use a shirt that has at least 50% polyester, the transfer paper for light fabrics works better (similar to sublimation).
It took my 5 shirts and countless tutorials to get a shirt to look good. Finally the tip about only doing it not mirrored DID IT. My shirt turned out perfect. I was having the same issue as you at first. Love this. Thank you so much
Oh, no, Fernanda! I am truly sorry that you went through so much frustration! But, YAY! that you now have a perfect shirt!!! Wear it (or gift it) with PRIDE!!!! 😍

Awesome tutorial! I've been wanting to try this! I only have the transfer for light so after watching I decided to give it a go. I found a design that would look good "distressed" since the light transfer iron-on isn't as vibrant. Note to self...make sure your design is right side up! LOL! I ironed it on upside down - so now the words are upside down. So I now have a funny t-shirt to sleep in. 😂
@Yayas World 2016 nope. It's been washed several times and still looks the same as when I applied. I kind of like the distressed look for that particular image I used.

I have struggled with print and cut, with my cricut machine in General. I am glad i came across your youtube channel and videos! Thank you! I am a visual learning and you have no idea how much you have helped me!!! I feel more confident now! going to try it now!
A commercial press does great with light transfers. I don't always like the white back ground on all projects worth dark transfers. But she's very informative on the way to cut and print.
I have tried to learn how to use my cricut to make and heat press patterns onto garmets..... Yours was the best tutorial that I have come across.... You explained everything slowly and eloquently, which was very much needed for a beginner! I feel ready to start....... Thank you so much...
You are truly an amazing teacher! This seemed intimidating to me but I think with doing it step by step while watching you I could get it done. Thank you so much for what you do!
Thanks for making me feel so much more confident with my cricut! I have had a heat press for awhile but was so intimidated with it but now I am making shirts thanks to this video!

Hey I just spent three hours on getting my image to print because I didn’t know that for the first time that you have to calibrate your Cricut so you might want to mention that for new people
Hi Jennifer. I am new to Cricut and so excited to get started. For the last couple of weeks I have been watching how to videos so I can hit the ground running. I have found consistently, that your videos are the most informative and well explained ones. Your knowledge of the software is astounding and I find myself eager to try out the things you mention. Thank you so much for putting these videos together. Jim.

It sort of is like a foreign language, Ashley! Cricuteese! But you will be just as good at speaking it as you are as speaking your native language, before you know it!!! 😍
Ashley we all start with a little apprehension but the endless things and designs of many items. Learn from mistakes... The best videos for everything Cricket is the Jennifer Maker videos. Be sure you subscribe to her RUclips, Facebook page, and any other media sites you are part of. GO AND ROCK YOUR BEST CREATIONS!
Fully upfront - I was skeptical in watching this video for a number of reasons but after watching many others I chose to sit through this. May I say 1. I never subscribe to these things. 2. I never sit through a video this long. This time I DID BOTH!! Ms. Maker was phenomenal. I already made a sweater prior to this video and it didn't work out as well as I had hoped. Now that I watched this - I have FULL confidence my next one will be great!!! My only question was how did you get the sillouette paper off the grid - originally mine stuck and it was a mess. I saw in this video that you changed your stock paper prior to cutting which I did not know about so I am hoping it will work for me the 2nd time around. If not, I will be back with questions :). I want to thank you. Your video was amazing!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. After several years of not being able to craft (I still have my Cricut Expression and Design Space was new then), I am excited to once again get into Cricut crafting. Wow, so much has changed with so many amazing options! I used to love to cut vinyl to use as stencils for glass etching. So, think the different vinyl projects would be my first choice. Thanks for all of your awesome tutorials, handbooks, etc.
Jennifer, I must say you are amazing teacher. I love watching your tutorials because you have a way of explaining things which I can understand. I'm gonna watch more of your videos. I finally feel like I'm learning. Thanks a bunch
I have just recently started learning about this, I am getting one for Christmas (my child can't keep a secret) so I have been watching and learning. I like your videos best. You make it seem so easy
Ms. Maker I am not going to lie!!! I looked at the length of the video and wasn't going to watch. I am so glad I watched it from beginning to end. I feel so confident in using print to cut now because it was intimidating at first. Thank you thank you thank you thank you so much for this video I would definitely subscribe and put the alerts on for all of your videos. Hopefully you have posted new ones. Again a big thanks guys please watch from beginning to end there's so much good information in this video
Future teacher here and just borrowed my sisters cricut (to see if I needed one lol). I can’t thank you enough for your thorough videos!!! Have been a huge help!!!
I had a friend ask if I could design a shirt for her. I'm a bit rusty on my Print then Cut vinyl skills so I had to find your video to brush up on my skills. I'm so glad your older videos are still available.
Hello again...you were absolutely right ! I put in a transfer sheet, printed out my images, (actually a few because it's my first time 🤪) and ironed it on. It actually looks great. I wanted to thank you. You have been more helpful than the internet by far. I almost wasted money on a new printer. I thought you needed a printer that specifically used sublimation ink.
You would only use transfer sheets for print then cut. Sublimation ink is for sublimation paper but you would need a sublimation printer for that. Check out Infusible Ink sheets from Cricut. You do not need a special printer for that. Check this out. 😊❤️ jennifermaker.com/cricut-infusible-ink-need-get-started/
Wow. I thought i was only addicted to nail videos. I bought my crikcket expression for 40.00 no instructions. That was the best and worst thing. You helped me make the vinyls that used to cost me. 65.00 per set for the cost of the vinyl. Which us great cause I also learned how to do tshirt lettering. Now for the rest of the story. #1 mini easy press. #2. Big easy press. Lol. #3 Christmas list. Latest and.greatest cricuit on the market..rolf!!! Thank you and not thankyou. Lol. But mist of all.thank you
Aww, GiannaMaria! Thank you SO much for your lovely comments! I'm happy that you have learned and grown so much with us! You made my heart smile today! 😍

Thank you for step by step details. I appreciate you showing what happens if you do this oooopsies too. I will probably watch this and other videos a couple times like some others commented as there are multiple steps and variations to learn for getting it right. You have saved me time and frustration...you're a thoughtful maker.
I love this tutorial. Thank you for clearing up all the questions regarding print and cut transfers for t-shirts, etc. I especially love the attention to detail on the different designs, editing, like slice and flatten.
HUGE thanks for showing the comparison at the end of using the white transfer vs. the dark one. I agree with you...just buy transfers for dark colored fabrics!
I am new and man, I am confused! We live outside Cincinnati and are huge Bengals fans. My son’s bday is the 14th so his wife and I want to make him a couple shirts. I will keep trying here. You have been my favorite Cricut instructor though. Thank you for that!!
Thank you, Jennifer. Feels like knowing you personally by the number of tips you've given me. I've watched so many videos and they don't go so far. Thank you very much for your explanation.
Jennifer Thank you !!!!, this was so helpful. I thought I was doing something wrong. I have also noticed the more detailed cuts are more difficult with the light-colored shirt. I am so glad that I found you, I'm getting married on a cruise and May this is so affordable and stress reducing!
Amazing tutorial! As a beginner, I really appreciated the clear, easy to follow instructions. From the beginning of my Cricut experience, I was thoroughly intimidated by this feature and ignored it completely. But when my daughter asked me to make several Tshirts for a family reunion, I realized it was time to conquer. After watching your video, I am ready to take it on! The video gave me confidence that I can do this!! Wish me luck and thank you oodles!!
Thank you for this Jennifer. I've been trying to make a t-shirt for a family member and having so many problems with the transfer for light colour fabrics. Now I'm going to use the dark colour transfer paper. ❤
Jennifer, this was a very helpful video, thank you. You didn't speed your way through it, explained it well, and I especially appreciated you showing the differences between the papers and the "mess-ups."
Excellent tutorial…prior to watching I had tried a print then cut design on “light” transfer paper with no luck…essentially the same issue you experienced…just ordered some “dark” transfer paper to give that a try…the other issue I had was that my cricut machine couldn’t “sense” the design so I had to cut it by hand…not sure what caused that since I have had success with print then cut on paper…I’ve also ordered some printable HTV to see what kind of success I have with that…thanks so much!

@Sandra. I hope you can now cut and print your own stuff by the way how are you doing and what are your plans for the weekend?
I have struggled with print and cut, with my cricut machine in General. I am glad i came across your youtube channel and videos! Thank you! I am a visual learning and you have no idea how much you have helped me!!! I feel more confident now! going to try it now!
You are so welcome! 🌸
Very happy I found this because I need to make a printed image on a T shirt for my grandson. Thank you so much.
Tattoo sounds interesting I did not know there was such a thing.
Huh
I’ve learn so much from You You’re a excellent TEACHER🥂🌹Thank You
Best tutorial!!! I was so afraid to use the print and cut! I now successfully used it and it became one of my favourite iron-on!
Glad it helped!🥰
The washed out one would be great for anyone wanting a "distressed" look to their image/shirt
Barb Cicone I was thinking the same thing.
A commercial press does great with light transfers. I don't always like the white back ground on all projects worth dark transfers. But she's very informative on the way to cut and print.
I love this video. It has been very helpful. Thanks!!!!! Is it possible to give this 3 thumbs up????
Do you have any tutorials / tips on how to trick my Cricut Maker into doing larger print then cut images? (i.e. 8x10)
teri doty yes, please.
I wish we could make an 8x10 print to cut
The only way I have found to make a picture bigger is to section it. I brought a clip art in and couldn't resize but up to the 6.75.
I have tried to learn how to use my cricut to make and heat press patterns onto garmets..... Yours was the best tutorial that I have come across.... You explained everything slowly and eloquently, which was very much needed for a beginner! I feel ready to start....... Thank you so much...
You are so welcome! 🌸
That's what I was looking for using the print and cut for my specific project. I can't wait tomorrow to start.
Hi thank you sharing information! Love your cute studio and patient thorough process. Just wondering how transfers lasted after multiple washes?
Great tutorial, as always. I'd like you to do one on printable stickers. I've tried it without much success.
You are truly an amazing teacher! This seemed intimidating to me but I think with doing it step by step while watching you I could get it done. Thank you so much for what you do!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for making me feel so much more confident with my cricut! I have had a heat press for awhile but was so intimidated with it but now I am making shirts thanks to this video!
I'm speechless and VERY inspired! I love how thorough you explained everything. Thanks so much!
Thank you SO much!
Wow! So thankful for you and this content. I needed it and will watch multiple times. Totally feel more confident to start projects. 🙌🏾👌🏾❤
I'm so glad you feel confident! :)
Thank you for making such a fabulous Tutorial!
I learned so much and it all made sense to me because of how you explain and show how to do things!
Love it!
Hey I just spent three hours on getting my image to print because I didn’t know that for the first time that you have to calibrate your Cricut so you might want to mention that for new people
Would enjoy sticker tutorial
Would like a sticker tutorial.
K
Yes agreed
Please sticker tutorial
Yes please!
Yes please!
Finally took the time to watch this. I’ve been so scared to do print to cut. I’d love a link to make stickers and keyboard overlays.
That would be such a fun project!
Right I like her videos
i would love to see a shadow box project made with a cutting machine
Hi Jennifer. I am new to Cricut and so excited to get started. For the last couple of weeks I have been watching how to videos so I can hit the ground running. I have found consistently, that your videos are the most informative and well explained ones. Your knowledge of the software is astounding and I find myself eager to try out the things you mention. Thank you so much for putting these videos together. Jim.

You saved me from selling my Cricut. I was at my wit's end until I found your page. Thank you.
I felt the same way until I found Jennifer's video and blog!
I kinda feel like I’m learning a foreign language 🙃my machine will be here Friday 🥰
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the "slice" tutorial! It was the missing piece for a project I was working on, you've saved my day!!!
YAY!! I'm so happy you got it! 🥳
Thank you! I was lost now i'm found lol!
Tattoo tutorial
This video amazes me! When I thought I already tried everything I could on my machine, there's always more. THANK YOU!!
Thank you! Turn the mat upside down and peal the printable vinyl off that way.
Glad it was helpful! 😊🌻
Where can I find the handbooks?
Everything explained perfectly even my 8 year old is able to design and print tshirts and make puzzles! Thank you Jennifer 💜
That is awesome! 😃
Jennifer, I must say you are amazing teacher. I love watching your tutorials because you have a way of explaining things which I can understand. I'm gonna watch more of your videos. I finally feel like I'm learning. Thanks a bunch
Thank you so much!
I have just recently started learning about this, I am getting one for Christmas (my child can't keep a secret) so I have been watching and learning. I like your videos best. You make it seem so easy
That is awesome! Thanks for watching!
I'm so glad! 😃 Thank you!
Oh my God! I understand now how to do these projects. You are a great teacher and I love your patient and calm voice. Thank You Jennifer
You're welcome! I'm so glad to hear you know how to do it. 😃
Future teacher here and just borrowed my sisters cricut (to see if I needed one lol). I can’t thank you enough for your thorough videos!!! Have been a huge help!!!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!😊🌻
I had a friend ask if I could design a shirt for her. I'm a bit rusty on my Print then Cut vinyl skills so I had to find your video to brush up on my skills. I'm so glad your older videos are still available.
Thank you! Here is a newer one as well. jennifermaker.com/how-to-use-printable-vinyl-with-cricut/
One more thing...can I also use sublimation paper or only transfer sheets? Is that what the sublimation ink is for, sub paper?
I'm so glad you didn't waste your money. I'm glad you worked it out. ❤️
I LOVE this. We're retired living in our RV, so space for crafting accessories is limited. Those sheets will work out PERFECT!
Happy retirement!
@@JenniferMaker Im watching AGAIN. I need to understand the mirroring and the reasons why they differ. Okay, Im slow, but I eventually get it. Again, Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials.
Thank you for step by step details. I appreciate you showing what happens if you do this oooopsies too. I will probably watch this and other videos a couple times like some others commented as there are multiple steps and variations to learn for getting it right. You have saved me time and frustration...you're a thoughtful maker.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you find my tutorials helpful! 💗
I love this tutorial. Thank you for clearing up all the questions regarding print and cut transfers for t-shirts, etc. I especially love the attention to detail on the different designs, editing, like slice and flatten.
Thank you!
HUGE thanks for showing the comparison at the end of using the white transfer vs. the dark one. I agree with you...just buy transfers for dark colored fabrics!
Glad it was helpful!💗
I am new and man, I am confused! We live outside Cincinnati and are huge Bengals fans. My son’s bday is the 14th so his wife and I want to make him a couple shirts. I will keep trying here. You have been my favorite Cricut instructor though. Thank you for that!!
You are so welcome! 💜
Thank you, Jennifer. Feels like knowing you personally by the number of tips you've given me. I've watched so many videos and they don't go so far. Thank you very much for your explanation.
You are so welcome! 😃❤️
The light transfer on the white shirt looks neat if you want a vintage looking transfer, but I agree the dark looks better if you want a crisp image.
Yes! Totally! 😃
Is there a way to do that image without the white inside? Something like a slice feature? 🤔
Jennifer Thank you !!!!, this was so helpful. I thought I was doing something wrong. I have also noticed the more detailed cuts are more difficult with the light-colored shirt. I am so glad that I found you, I'm getting married on a cruise and May this is so affordable and stress reducing!
Glad it was helpful! 🥰
Glad it was helpful! I wish you luck! 🌸
Thank you for this Jennifer. I've been trying to make a t-shirt for a family member and having so many problems with the transfer for light colour fabrics. Now I'm going to use the dark colour transfer paper. ❤
You can do it!
Your videos are my favorite whenever I'm trying to learn something new! Also, the way you make sure your shirts are centered is simply genius!
Aw thank you so much! I'm so happy you're here crafting with us!
From a teacher- YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER!!!!
Cricut needs to purchase your videos for their site & youtube channel. Love your personality and thorough explanations. *SUBSCRIBED*🤗❤️
Oh wow, but what would I do? Sit on the beach all day?? 😂😊
Jennifer, this was a very helpful video, thank you. You didn't speed your way through it, explained it well, and I especially appreciated you showing the differences between the papers and the "mess-ups."
Glad it was helpful!
I am so happy to hear that you were able to figure it out!! Thank you so much for the kind words! 🌸
I’ve been very overwhelmed since I got my cricut and this tutorial seems very helpful. I’ll have to watch again and take some notes!
Thanks for doing the test runs for different materials on the video
You are so welcome! If you like, we have a free series of online classes that show you how to set up and begin creating with your machine as a new Cricut owner! Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff
I so thankful I came
Across your RUclips , I have learned so much and did two
Shirts so fast
Thank you for this video & your channel. I had all the Circut items in my cart but to be sure I didn’t want to continue making tee’s on iron on’s as I have done for years. Cutting them out was a pain. Always making sure everything had a black border , for easier cutting. Your a great teacher, you show each step, kind voice & of course your a Mac woot woot! Thank you. I am all in now
Mac all the way!!! Thanks so much! 😃❤️
