Doc i got a question regarding applying Vitamin C in the morning... because Vitamin C is water soluble, does heat and sweat during the day, strip off the Vitamin C from face making it useless/ineffective and 2nd I have heard/read somewhere that sun can actually burn the vitamin c resulting darker patches on face even though you have sunscreen over it... can you please clarify these information/misinformation??
Can you outline here the routine(s) you should follow for these? Like what do you do at night and morning with 1-5? … also, my wife is Korean so I’m pretty sure we have all these in our drawer somewhere lol
I tried your C&E serum and love the scent. I’ve used a C serum for years but did like yours even better! Glad that I’m on the right track with my skin care routine. Now if I could stay awake long enough to wash my face before bed!
It’s so cool to learn together. Thank you❤. Questions: 1/ What are the interactions of the mentioned possibilities with sun exposure please? 2/ Which products do you recommend to better be used during winter? And last, let’s suppose you unintentionally forget to put on your sunscreen, which options have a non negative impact while using them with sun exposure?
When I was working in dentistry, I had a patient who was an older white women and she had flawless skin. She said her skin care consisted of using greek yogurt as a cleanser and green tea as her toner. Yeah wish I would have taken her advice way back then.... she had a flawless glow and firmness to her face.
@@Sheba_316well duh, kinda why I posted my comment. to be honest there's more to that story, but its to long so f**k it. I wanted that to show that you don't have to buy those things you can whip it up in your kitchen and get great benefits. I prefer diy's.
@@mariad3011 so yeah during that informative discussion I had with her. She expressed her feelings on using alive products on her skin, because our skin is living. I have to sit my greek yogurt out for about an hour b4 I can use it. The cold will definitely shock the life back into ya 😆.
I've been using Retinol, Collagen Reptide products. Every night and morning before I put on makeup..I research first on the best products for skin of the face and neck.. I have been using these products for years and they do work. I'm turning 57 this year and people actually think I'm 45.. **Be sure to look in** the ingredients before buying products that say it has these ingredients on the front.. just because it says it has these ingredients doesn't mean it's in the ingredients.
In your research you must have found that collagen molecules are too large to penetrate skin. It’s useless in a cream. It needs to be taken internally to have any effect at all
@@bgueberdenteich5206Absolutely. My skin is very good and I have always worn makeup. I’m 64 and just met some people from high school. Makeup did protect my skin for sure.
Sadly, The Ordinary is ceasing to produce their vit.C serum in silicone soon; I am buying the tubes that I can (they come sealed). It is so sad because, age (almost 52) I noticed I was getting a small bit of permanent wrinkling around my smile lines. Then I started incorporating this into my routine, on a daily basis. After 2 days those wrinkles were *gone* and my skin was super plump & baby butt soft. I mean... I am amazed, after hearing derm after derm diss this kind of product because of lack of evidence that it actually does something. It does something for me, all right! And just this alone makes me so much more comfortable in my "old skin". I love it, just sad to see it go, because it's a smooth & soft formulation and it has 0 "crumbs" in it, like their other formulas do! It's like shooting themselves in the foot, taking this away.
@@angelag669 Angela, it's taking a while to get through their stock, I think, so you have some time but don't let it linger. The tube comes sealed, so I'm not worried about it. I absolutely love this type of vit. C. Why even consider discontinuing it? Why would I want "grit" in my stuff, and their other types of vit. C, you get grit in your application. This one is the only one even on the market that is smooth (not talking about higher priced items at all, just not gonna go there). Such a darn shame, it really is! Good luck!
And here I am at 42, still using tretinoin for my acne. ETA: I mean this seriously, tret causes skin cell turnover and I just had a pimple a few weeks ago. And sometimes I can feel them “coming up” (that pain you get under the skin with cystic acne) that thankfully never fully formed, thanks to Tret.

I was told by a dermatologist there is no way to get rid of wrinkles other then Surgery that you can make them look softer but once they are there your pretty much stuck with them
Just be careful with castor oil ,because some peoples have facial hair grow on their face I used it only on my eyebrows 3 times a week ,because my eyebrows is becoming thinner
Last time I went to my dermatologist, I asked for a tretinoin prescription. She said she preferred tazarotene, so prescribed that instead. I used it for about a month and tolerated it well. Later, I googled it, and I came across several articles that said retinols are neurotoxins and can affect your brain. That worried me so I stopped using it. I would love your thoughts on this since you are a holistic plastic surgeon but recommend retinols.
Doctor, question how you use different serum when there's so many for different uses. Example it is recommended to use Vitamin C and E serum so how do you incorporate another serum like Probiotic serum with Vitamin C&E serum. Please answer
Can you PLEASE do a video recommending products for women who are breastfeeding? I can't use retinoids or retinols, and I'm also worried about putting stuff on my skin that will cause my toddler to have a skin reaction when he comes into contact with it. I have not ever seen anyone post a video about this problem.
I've been using tretinoin since early 2000. The first few weeks I broke out badly but my dermatologist explained that it's future acne that is coming to the surface. I continued and the acne went away. Still using daily and zero wrinkles, smooth glass like skin even when dry, no saggy skin. Just keep using, the initial problems will eventually subside.

Hi, @DoctorYoun, I’m one of your silent subscribers. I always watch your videos. I need your expertise on my skin issue. 😢 Two years ago, I decided to have my moustache hair removed through laser. Since it was my first time, I trusted the process of the clinic I went to. A week after the first of 10 sessions, my husband noticed before me the two massive dark spots (oval-shaped); I was shocked. I went to the clinic the following day and asked why it was like this. The lady said that it would happen because of my skin type and eventually would go away. I didn’t come back after that day. I’m traumatised and lost my confidence even more. In your opinion, what she should have done beforehand, and what she didn’t do? What is the best treatment to remove this? I’ve tried products advised by other clinics and spent nearly a thousand dollars for Murad brand serum, peeling toner, and sunscreen. Still didn’t work. Thank you in advance for your advice. ❤
😮Any vitamin C serum i’ve ever used has made me break out like crazy, retinoids, too… I guess i’ll need to be a wrinkly old lady soon (except people regularly assume i’m 10 years younger than my actual age).
For how long have you been using retinol? Afaik your skin can purge for up to a month after incorporating retinol, so if you used it for shorter time maybe try again with lighter formula as well. I’m using retinol for 2 weeks now and I see new breakouts, but want to continue till a month mark. I’ve also ordered retinol in a lighter formula so if this one won’t stop breaking me out I’ll be trying another one… I so don’t want to give up on retinol 😂
That is a great summary, thank you for this valuable knowledge. If I may ask what is your opinion about copper peptide and other peptides like matriaxyl ?
@@jesusdesciple1Your sentence doesn’t make sense. Better to use punctuation & check b4 posting. Also, be sincere in your outreach & ‘evangelising’. The way you are doing it (like writing to someone like this who was not addressing or questioning you) is rude & impersonal & not a good witness at all. It’s bordering on ‘creepy’ & irritating. And yes, l am a Christian. Have been for decades
There are different types of vitamin C. Maybe the one you've tried were not good for your skin. And it could be the percentage as well... if you use 10% it could be too much for some people. Try less percentage.
Not sure if its right but i never use vitamin C because i use sunbeds couple times a week. So i assumed i cannot use vit C due to sensitivity etc. I only go on once or twice a week mainly to maintain my colour i already have. Xx
Can you please explain to me why my tretinoin doesn’t do much aside from keeping my milia at bay. Doesn’t seem to help with spots, enlarged pores or wrinkles like everyone claims.
@@DoctorYoun it’s .025% prescription tretinoin. It seems that when it comes to all skincare prescription or over the counter, it will only work for so long and then it no longer works anymore. I’m constantly having to change my skincare products.

Try sandwiching it. Go slow
You have unbelievable skin. Damn you Asians and your collagen and high cheekbones and overall better standard of living!!!
Adapalene is way better than any retinal creams. It's the closest over the counter med you can get to retinoids.
Olay is good.😊
What are your thoughts on castor oil?
That is a great summary, thank you for this valuable knowledge. If I may ask what is your opinion about copper peptide and other peptides like matriaxyl ?
Jesus loves you so much more than you think repent and stay blessed❤❤❤
These are good!👍🏼
@@jesusdesciple1Your sentence doesn’t make sense.
@@lindaed3594 Oh ok thanks
Using makeup wipes is asking for blackheads. Awful things. I found the Garnier micellar water was VERY harsh. Other brands are better
i read not to use Bukochiol with Retinol! Why do we keep getting diff answers from all these doctors, and who is really correct?
An ad covers the captions, so I can't read what he is saying. This happens too often on RUclips.
My skin reacts to vitamin C 😢
There are different types of vitamin C. Maybe the one you've tried were not good for your skin. And it could be the percentage as well... if you use 10% it could be too much for some people. Try less percentage.
Not sure if its right but i never use vitamin C because i use sunbeds couple times a week. So i assumed i cannot use vit C due to sensitivity etc. I only go on once or twice a week mainly to maintain my colour i already have. Xx
Don't you find that sunbeds ages your skin a lot?
Please please make your products available in Australia 🙏🙏🙏
What is your oppinion on lip fillers. I have naturally thin lips and have been thinking of getting a small amount of filler for a fuller look
Vitamin c syrum with jobjoba oil that contains vitamin e.
Can you please explain to me why my tretinoin doesn’t do much aside from keeping my milia at bay. Doesn’t seem to help with spots, enlarged pores or wrinkles like everyone claims.
I’ve had the same experience. I paid $145 for a small tube and have seen no improvements.
Maybe not strong enough? Best to ask the doctor who prescribed it
@@DoctorYoun it’s .025% prescription tretinoin. It seems that when it comes to all skincare prescription or over the counter, it will only work for so long and then it no longer works anymore. I’m constantly having to change my skincare products.
Can these skin care products be used on your forearms with sun damage?
I ❤ BAKUCHIOL! I alternate retinol & bakichiol😊
Retinoids are otc here in Mexico
Hi,so you don't need a prescription? Do you know the price for tetrinoin? Yo puedo viajar a Tijuana y comprarla ahí, gracias
Am I wasting my money using Vit C and Vit E moisturizers instead of serums?
No sunscreen
Thank you doctor! Can you use bakuchiol everyday?
Yes you can!
