I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
First timer here, and subscribed! Below is my morning routine (oily skin)...I may have to add the eye cream, but I use eye cream in the evening...I will research s'more. 1) cleanse with CeraVe foaming cleanser 2) apply Loreal vitamin C 3) finish with Differen sunscreen

Apply Antioxidants (Vit C/E Combo) Purpose: protects your skin from free radicals and oxidation process -if you can't find the combo, look for vit c. 4.Eye Crean - minor amount of retinol 5. Sunscreen - SPF 30 or more. With Avol Benzone to diminish the whitish hue look Uhmm, what about moisturizer? 😐

I use dark vinegar with water to rinse my face. MY grandmother always used Dove moisturizer soap ever since I was little. and I been using this for ten years. my moisturizer of choice is either Ambi skin tone cream or Vitamin E cream.
Being a doctor looks like so much fun you have all this knowledge to spit out on people. Also to actually use and implement which is the best part in my personal opinion
Hi Dr. I have listened to your am skin care routine and it makes sense. I have rosacea which is now only centered around my nose, but frequently bothers me. I have bought Cerave face wash and moisturizer plus their brand of Retinol. I have to say in a week or so my skin is doing well, actually smooth and glowing instead of dead and lifeless. The only question I have is my nose rosacea is breaking out like a wild man. I am avoiding putting any products on my nose, but just my face. I don't know if Cerave is irritating for rosacea patients but I think it should not irritate. Anyway thanks for the skincare routine. I never wash my face but I do try to moisturize occasionally. I am 72 and have given up pretty much on having good skin again.
I tried using besan flour as a facial cleanser, but it rather lead to skin rash. As a result, eventually, I switched to littleextraa's riceberry face wash, and believe me, my skin has greatly benefitted from this and got healthier than it was before it was... acne diminished, scars and marks faded, pore size reduced, and skin has become brighter and smoother, and I am getting compliments from people now.
The face wash is very effective and good for all types of skin. It gives smooth skin with each use. It provides instant relief and a glow to the skin. The riceberry face wash is effective, and using 2 times a day gives excellent results, according to my experience. It is soap-free and assists lock in moisture. A must-have on your wash basin.
Great routine! For those wondering about a moisturizer, most sunscreens are moisturizing. But if you need a little extra, a moisturizer could go after serums & before sunscreen. I love using CeraVe’s PM lotion for day use. It’s light, but enough for a little more moisture.
1 clense with a toner suitable for skin type.foamy cleanser for oily skin. Moisturising and hydrating for dry and combination skin. Avoid bar soap 2 tone - avoid alcohol base toners/astrigent 3 vitamin c and e combo in dark bottle or c alone in dark bottle 4 eye cream with rethinol 5 sunscreen 30% or more spf. @@AlexisGonzalez-mp3dx Sure thing! What products I use has changed over time, mostly based on their availability in my rural European drug store. Cleanser: 1. La-roche posay effaclar foaming cleanser (worked well, but pricey so i switched) 2. sebamed face cleansing bar (worked well, not always available where I live) 3. neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel (probably my favorite) Toner - I skip this one. I used to use one by La-roche posay but never noticed an effect. Vit C/E 1. Catrice glow booster serum (contains vit c,e among other ingredients, worked well for me and was affordable, but it is no longer available where I live) 2. Florence Organic Vit C, E Serum (a bit pricey, but good quantity and quality) Eye Cream This one I have switched around a lot. I didn't like any of the eye creams I tried, but I've found that my skin responds really well to the neutrogena hydro boost water gel, and I use that all over my face. Sunscreen - haven't found a favorite yet, a decent one for my skin has been la-roche posay's anthelios fluid, but it's first sticky and then drying, so I'm still searching. I'll add that I use three more products: A powdered skin clay that I mix into my cleanser once a week to exfoliate, and a Benzoyl peroxide spot treatment cream for when I get hormonal acne breakouts. At night I use a retinol cream by Daytox (may only be available in Europe), based on Dr. Youns's night routine video. Overall I still stick to the steps from this video, and my skin looks much better than ever. Even when my hormonal acne acts up it's over much faster, it's less severe and my overall complexion still looks really good. I don't even feel self conscious about my pimples when I get them. My skin always feels hydrated and healthy. I'd say what products/brands you use doesn't matter as much as the ingredients and whether it's financially sustainable to use them, so I can only encourage you to do as I did and try out different things, use what you have to begin with and see what your skin responds to. Good luck!

Hello Dr. Youn, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the quality of your videos. Not only are they highly informative but they are also presented in a warm and friendly way 👌. From a happy Canadian subscriber 😊.
I love how he is promoting his product (without pushing the product.) but also giving information on what to look for possibly less expensive alternatives.
Hey doc. I want to thank you for your channel. I watched your morning and night skin care regimen. The difference has been amazing. I'm so glad you have these skincare videos😊 my parents always recommend bad products. I wish I saw this vid when it was new. I had struggled with acne then because I was like 12/13 going through puberty My face changed it would get worse on my period. I had dry flacky skin. Now I'm 16 and my skin has gotten a lot oily than dry
This is life changing story on skin care for me, because I was always questioning myself that I’ve been paying for hundreds dollars for the best products available, but why my skin doesn’t improve any better as cosmetic makers claiming for? Now, I got all the answers I’ve been looking for from Dr. Youn. First I cleaned all my cosmetic drawers and already ordered my first your skin care and supplements packages. I can’t wait to see the result in a year. Don’t hate me cuz I’m beautiful! Thank you! 🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️
You can’t prevent aging process like dark spots, but I have softer & smoother facial skin which I’m very happy with it. Not any cosmetic surgery or even dr. Youn’s products and vitamins will make perfect skin. Avoid sun!
love watching your videos and like how you show genuine empathy towards others. I also love the fact that you don't shove your products on others. because of this I decided to place my order a few seconds ago. cant wait to receive and try your product.

This video had been awesome! Wish I had noticed this video couple of weeks in the past.. Wonderfully captured as well as well-explained, Bravo!!. Always believe in your self!
This is perfect for any skin type or any skin issue. Just know your skin type and use the cleanser that fits. Look out for vitamin C serums that has Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate has it's known to help treat acne and it's very gentle for even the most sensitive skin. Get a sunscreen that has zinc oxide because zinc oxide is also known to help reduce acne and you are good to go.
No need to cleanse in the morning if you have dry skin, you just strip it of its natural oils.. Also, for dry and kinda sensitive skin water based cleansers can be a bit harsh (even something like cerave) so i use clinique cleansing oil instead. These two things have had a huge positive impact on my skin 💜
Yea I’m new to this stuff but I was thinking the same thing. Your natural oil is the first natural best thing to prolong youth. And never at any circumstances use any alcohol products. I’m now curious about retinol products I gotta do some research
Thank you for another very helpful video. I appreciate the fact that your “routines” are tiny self care and education rituals that encourage your audience to take a moment to work on ourselves. I’m sending good energy to everyone who takes a moment to focus on their most beautiful self before facing the rest of the world. ♥️

I am so glad I found your channel. I have discoid lupus, I've been working to improve my skin. Right now the main part of my body is in a bad flare up but my face is not affected as badly. This is great information. Thank you so much.
I'm in my late 60's l would like your opinion. Yes, l do drink Collagen daily. I cleanse my face twice a day in the morning and before bedtime. I use all natural products. Everything l purchase from the health food store that consist of grounded rice, Honey, vitamin E oil and almond milk mixed all together it's my mud mask cleanser!. I leave it on for approximately 10mins to dry on my face then rinse with cool water. I pat dry and to moisturize apply my sunscreen then l sprize rose water from a bottle all over my face and l then rub a quarter size amount of pure vegetable glycerin in my hand and massage on my entire face and neck.. It makes my skin look younger, smooth and it glows!
hihi! not a doctor but something that I've found that has really worked for me is using chemical exfoliants (sounds scary but it's not! i promise!) Think of it kind of like face scrub that's actually less abrasive and gentler for your skin. Look for a product that has BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), which focuses on going deep into your skin and chemically breaking up clogged pores, blemishes, etc. I've used Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant. It didn't really work for me, but it's worked for so many other people. It's a good introduction to chemical exfoliants! And always do a small patch test before applying it fully on your face to make sure you're not allergic or sensitive to it! (-: I now use the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which is a lot stronger and works for me.
Hi Christine, I use Queen Helene mint julep clay mask and the blackheads disappear as soon as you rinse it off in less than ten minutes. It works like a miracle! I buy it at Sally Beauty Store. I have been a cosmetologist/ skin care expert for over thirty years. Also if you have problems with face breakouts a cotton ball dampened with a little water and 3% hydrogen peroxide in the morning and at bedtime will clear up any pimples and keep your face nicely and you will never get zitz again! I have seen this work on countless teens for years and it is very inexpensive and simple. Thank me by having beautiful skin! 🌹🌹
Note for myself: Get a sunscreen that has the ingredient AVOBENZONE. To blend in with skin. Very very small amount of zinc/titanium or not at all. Avoid OXYBENZONE and OCTINOXATE (ingredients in sunscreens)
Witch Hazel makes a great toner & is great for acne too. It’s helped me greatly, I’ve used this as a toner for years & will never go back to store-bought toners with a list full of different ingredients, a lot I can’t even pronounce. I also use animal fat (tallow, lard, ghee, etc) mixed with beeswax & olive oil to hydrate my skin when it needs it. All just stuff I have at home & can make if needed 😊
Thanks, i never really gave much thought into skincare routines and always felt overwhelmed to pick a product to use since there's so many on the market, thanks for making it easy and direct to understand.

Mine is the same. Its combination skin. What I do is I have one cleanser for dry skin and one for combination/oily skin days. But one moisturizer that can work for whatever state my skin is. Id recommend Neutrogena hydroboost or Cerave hydrating cleanser (so many to choose from for dry skin) for your dry days and Cerave SA cleanser for your oily days which is a great way to exfoliate quickly! For moisturizer try the cerave PM moisturizer it works for both dry and oily skin. (The cerave AM moisturizer is if u want a moisturizer+sunscreen in one for daytime thats if u dont already have a fav sunscreen!) Good luck!

Thank you I was wondering where moisturizer fits in this routine.

Is that Paul allen skincare?
First timer here, and subscribed!
Below is my morning routine (oily skin)...I may have to add the eye cream, but I use eye cream in the evening...I will research s'more.
1) cleanse with CeraVe foaming cleanser
2) apply Loreal vitamin C
3) finish with Differen sunscreen
I LOVE your videos and the fact that you are going to let your products speak for themselves and not push them on people definitely makes me want to try them.😊
1. Cleanse
Oily skin: Foaming Cleanser
2.Toner
Note: avoid alcohol base
Use the right type of toner (re-establish the ph of the skin)
I used bar soap cause I'm currently exfoliating and can't find a foaming cleanser that doesn't contain acids 😐
3. Apply Antioxidants (Vit C/E Combo)
Purpose: protects your skin from free radicals and oxidation process
-if you can't find the combo, look for vit c.
4.Eye Crean - minor amount of retinol
5. Sunscreen - SPF 30 or more.
With Avol Benzone to diminish the whitish hue look
Uhmm, what about moisturizer? 😐

Dr. Youn you are a born instructor! Great voice, tone and delivery. I can listen to you all day! Thanks for all the amazing content.
You need to have a good stomache. My trypophobia cant handle it. 🤢
But this is false information he’s not a dermatologist
I do this every morning, so thankful for access to all the products I have. Vitamin C and SPF for life.
Great routine! For those wondering about a moisturizer, most sunscreens are moisturizing. But if you need a little extra, a moisturizer could go after serums & before sunscreen. I love using CeraVe’s PM lotion for day use. It’s light, but enough for a little more moisture.
Thanks. I was looking for this answer.
1 clense with a toner suitable for skin type.foamy cleanser for oily skin. Moisturising and hydrating for dry and combination skin. Avoid bar soap

Can you please list what products you used 😭
@@AlexisGonzalez-mp3dx Sure thing! What products I use has changed over time, mostly based on their availability in my rural European drug store.
Cleanser:
1. La-roche posay effaclar foaming cleanser (worked well, but pricey so i switched)
2. sebamed face cleansing bar (worked well, not always available where I live)
3. neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel (probably my favorite)
Toner - I skip this one. I used to use one by La-roche posay but never noticed an effect.
Vit C/E
1. Catrice glow booster serum (contains vit c,e among other ingredients, worked well for me and was affordable, but it is no longer available where I live)
2. Florence Organic Vit C, E Serum (a bit pricey, but good quantity and quality)
Eye Cream
This one I have switched around a lot.
I'll add that I use three more products: A powdered skin clay that I mix into my cleanser once a week to exfoliate, and a Benzoyl peroxide
spot treatment cream for when I get hormonal acne breakouts.
Good luck!

Could you do an acne prone skin cleansing routine? Because that would be really helpful!

What do you recommend for treatments..😊
hihi! not a doctor but something that I've found that has really worked for me is using chemical exfoliants (sounds scary but it's not! i promise!) Think of it kind of like face scrub that's actually less abrasive and gentler for your skin.
I now use the Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which is a lot stronger and works for me.
@@unclechristine it did help me, and I used the same brand..very good product.

Note for myself:
Get a sunscreen that has the ingredient AVOBENZONE. To blend in with skin. Very very small amount of zinc/titanium or not at all. Avoid OXYBENZONE and OCTINOXATE (ingredients in sunscreens)
can you name a few brands who sell that?
Witch Hazel makes a great toner & is great for acne too. It’s helped me greatly, I’ve used this as a toner for years & will never go back to store-bought toners with a list full of different ingredients, a lot I can’t even pronounce. I also use animal fat (tallow, lard, ghee, etc) mixed with beeswax & olive oil to hydrate my skin when it needs it. All just stuff I have at home & can make if needed 😊

(The cerave AM moisturizer is if u want a moisturizer+sunscreen in one for daytime thats if u dont already have a fav sunscreen!)
