Khhinepal hits home runs one after the other with their knives...im in awe at their craftsmanship
I have that in the 9"/5". Same KHHI Craftsman as DBAD. A.J. is what I named it. 52100 steel. I got the "Western Leather Sheath" with mine as a "Why not?" accessory and I strongly recommend it. I am not big on the Nepalese-style sheath for this kind of knife. The thickness of the blade is the same as the longer ones in this series like the one you reviewed here. Great video as always!

Hey, Scab…..I appreciate that right up front, you welcome our veterans and those struggling with substance abuse. Every male in my family has made the decision to join the military. Well, everyone but me. But my father and both his brothers served in Viet Nam. My Uncle Micky came home and was “different”. For the rest of his life, he struggled with PTSD and problems with becoming suddenly violent. Near the end, only my brother and I could spend any time with him because we are also violent and that made him feel safer, I guess. Uncle Micky ended up passing from cancer (possibly from the Orange). As many family members find out, the country that they put their lives on the line for, doesn’t always care for those who come home, especially from Viet Nam.
Also, wanted to thank you for the shout to those who are addicted. I’m Irish and me and the family have known and experienced a long history of alcoholism and more. But just hearing you throw out a welcome for them makes a difference to them. Even if it’s just a single nod, it gives them hope and a feeling that somewhere out there there’s someone who they respect is wanting to help them.
Anyway…..that’s me. Thanks for being you, man…..
Brother I appreciate you and my goal is to get to a point where we can truly help some vets. I am surrounded by them so it's on my heart.

Awesome blade shape that never goes out of style. Think I would have preferred the swedge not to be sharpened but that is an easy fix. Love to see large blades taken out and used like they deserved to be used. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
Great job on this review, you did this fine bowie justice my man, thanks for taking it on brother...really enjoyed it, that's the only thing this knife needed...a sharper edge, and know it's real bad ass preformer...I felt it to be well balanced and comfortable as well, and it is really a beautiful Bowie!!!

The top swedge is sharpened on fighting knives not just for increased penetration, but to allow for slicing on the back swing as well. A quick snap cut with the back spine can do some serious damage.

The Power Hammers from Khukuri House are 52100 steel. AKA ball bearing steel. An awesome steel to make a big Bowie out of.

Scab that is a great looking knife. I know you do the videos so a viewer could tell what the knife is doing but it is better with your melodious tones. That looked like an extremely capable knife. After seeing Donnie review his version of the heartstopper that knife jumped to second. As great as the Bowie was I would say it is 4th on my list. It sure is. Everybody should carry a knife like this. I would carry it, hands down.
KHHI sure has the chops to forge knives like this.
Btw, there are some videos on RUclips that are made with the help of collectors of historic Bowie knives and Bowie Knife experts, the series is called "Knives Of Note". Lots of displays from knive shows, and some lessons about the Sandbar Fight. I highly recommend watching this vids, if you want to know more about the Bowie Knife.

I'm asking this with no disrespect to you or the knife. I'm just curious about the tip. The chopping is A+ without a doubt. But have you tried the side to side tip test with it in some hard wood to test the tip strength. I really like the knife and may have missed the test in one of your other videos. How does this compare to the Gator Tail?
Bowie is pronounced Booee 100% for sure not like boy I'll explain, he is Scottish decent and that's how that sir name is and was pronounced. I had to do a 10 page report in school on someone important from history. I picked Jim Bowie. This was before the internet was so accessible so I went to 4 different libraries and got 14 books, I got any book that mentioned him. One was a book that a family member of his wrote about the family history and Name. He specifically said its pronounced Boo-ee. I always joke and tell people, if you were In a bar in 1832 and Bowie himself walked in and you recognized him so you speak up and say hey there (boy)Bowie. You would get stabbed by a (Booee)Bowie knife for calling I'm a boy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 being called boy was much bigger disgrace then compared to today. I hope this helps.
I also tried looking some stuff on on the internet about the knife and him. About 75% is out of order or not even right. It is so muddy I quit even reading. They did get the sandbar fight right atleast.

How does it compare to the gator tail as to weight, handle thickness and balance?
Two different knives. Both are well balanced so there's no notable weight difference. The handles are different. Honestly, your not going to find a better handle designer than donny
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors my only concern with the gator tail handle was what he said about the medfords handle and the size of his hands is it sized for his hands or for average size hands or small hands like mine
@@garenkinoguhyt7088 I got you. I would say my hands are one size down from Donny's probably I have a big maul. But not very big fingers very long fingers and it fits pretty comfortably. Let me put it to you like this I have a large hand and I think somebody with a medium hand would be fine.
