They need to get these smaller displacement bikes a little more affordable and I bet it would grow the market. I guess that’s what they are doing with the Navi but wish they would do it with a slightly stronger engine.
I'm not sure why it gets so expensive when the bike gets into the US, but over here in Malaysia, it is priced at about MYR12,000, which converts to about USD2,800. And that's already considered a premium price point for a scooter over here.

BTW it's priced at only around 3,000 dollars otr here. Worth trying the new PCX 160 if you want a touch more power. Cheers and thanks for your review 👍🏻
@@motohound90 Having now waited 6 months for my ADV, I think you are right, ADV made (assembled) in Thailand. Jakarta makes the PCX and Vario 160. If I ever get one it may well be the ADV 160...
What is your top speed on an incline? I used to have a 2010 honda elite scooter with the 108cc motor that would top out at 50mph on the flats and then up an incline would only get me 39mph...... I had to sell it because I moved to an area with 55mph roads. Would love another scooter now with gas prices so high!!!
If it was a crazy steep incline it would drop a few miles per hour over the climb from whtatever speed you had before entering the stretch of uphill. The bike will handle 55 mph roads no problem. It will do 60-65 mph all day long and only drop some speed on hills. It just cant do highways.
Thank you for the good information and video. I am getting a 2022 ADV 150 in a few days. So excited! The variator install. Does it void warranty? Easy install? Price of Variator? You say significant change after mod. Again thank you.
Definitely a significant change. I dont think you would have an issue with warranty but best to keep and install stock parts if you are bringing to dealership. The variator was about $100. It is an acceleration mode. Not so much top speed but i did gain one or two mph too
Did your new windscreen exceed your expectations?🤔I have a 2022 ADV150 and I find the windscreen is just for looks. And my Full size helmet fits under seat as I tried it out before buying. Great scooter as factory set-up if used with common sense. Need something faster trade up to faster bike.👍
The windscreen helped but i would shoot for something closer to 60 cm tall as it needed a couple more inches to be ideal. Interesting. I should have tried a few different helmets to see if other styles would fit but it was so far from fitting I didnt think any full face helmet would.
I bought my 2022 for $4,299 plus tax and license. Owning many Honda scooters since 1983,I have found my ADV150 to be one of my best purchases. With currently over 1,200 miles I find the engine getting stronger pulling hills from a dead stop with ease and speed. Love the versatility and comfort👍😀
Good review. Good quick summation. But..the audio when you are sitting on the bike is bad. Need a lapel Mike or hold the camera close. I finished this review because it was short. I usually move on when I hear poor audio. Thanks for the review.
I was super happy with the trade if I was going to have only one bike/scooter. The xmax can do everything but offroad. If youre open to multiple bikes and what not then I may go a different direction and say the ADV150 is absolutely amazing if you have a bigger bike that can do the things it cant.
@@motohound90 thanks! I am a little skeptical of the power. But, I actually found a 2021 ADV with 200 miles. It appears the person (older lady) dropped it and damaged the front turn signal.
